The house is located in the Essonne Valley (near Pithiviers) in a quiet village where you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. It is a stone house built in 1850, spread over two floors, fully renovated with plenty of charm (exposed beams and stonework), featuring a large dining room and open-concept kitchen, a living room, a large bedroom, and a bathroom.
The 72 m² house is part of a small condominium complex on a 3,500 m² lot with a large garden (including an orchard and vegetable garden). You can enjoy meals in the garden, have barbecues, and soak up the peace and quiet. An ideal place to relax, meditate, breathe, read, write, recharge, and enjoy outdoor activities: there are numerous GR trails (long-distance hiking trails) and forests nearby. For climbers or hikers, the Fontainebleau Forest is nearby, as is the Orléans Forest. Europe’s last wild river, the Loire, is also nearby: you can paddle down the Loire by renting canoes or explore the riverbanks by bike. You can also visit the charming villages along the river (Briare-sur-Loire, Châtillon-sur-Loire, Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire...) and cruise the canals by renting a boat (in Briare, which has a lovely marina). And for lovers of old stone buildings and historic architecture: one of the most beautiful villages in France is just 5 km away—Yèvres-le-Châtel and its fortress—as well as the Château de Fontainebleau and the châteaux of the Loire Valley.
