Long live holidays with family or friends!
Our lovely half-timbered Norman house dates from 1879. It is nestled in the middle of nature, on the edge of the forest, in the middle of a meadow of one and a half hectares, planted with hundred-year-old oaks. The garden that surrounds the house is a haven of peace to stroll in a deck chair in the shade of the weeping willow, listen to the singing of the birds, play hide-and-seek with the children, or read a book by the fire. Of course, everything is planned to have a good time and make memories:
deckchairs, BBQ barbecue, badminton rackets, croquet game, petanque balls, trampoline, balls for football in the meadow, board games, quality electric piano (Fender brand)...
The house, ideal for 7 people, (2 couples and 3 children), combines Norman authenticity and a resolutely contemporary spirit.
The "day area", living-dining room-kitchen and mezzanine have been recently renovated and designed with modernity. Large volumes with double height embellished with a huge fireplace make it a place of character.
On one level overlooking the garden, the house offers:
- a large room that combines a dining room, fireplace, living room with piano and a 4.50 m long sofa to accommodate your whole tribe!
- 3 charming single bedrooms with good bedding (2 bedrooms with 160 cm bed, 1 bedroom for 3 children with bunk beds plus 1 single bed),
- a bathroom and toilet (hair dryer available),
- a fully equipped kitchen (5-burner gas piano + 2 electric ovens, microwave, LV, Nespresso, mixer, kettle, toaster etc),
- a mezzanine with an office space (free wifi),
- a laundry room with washing machine, where all outdoor equipment is stored.
In addition to the joys of the garden and the house, there is the pleasure of discovering the Pays d'Auge region, dotted with castles, manor houses, beautiful churches, cathedrals and basilicas, cheese shops, flea markets and zoos. You can also travel the Cider Route in search of small producers. And to breathe in the sea air, build sandcastles, the beaches of the Côte Fleurie are only a stone's throw away: Cabourg, Houlgate, Deauville or Trouville are 35 minutes from the house.
Not to be missed: the Caen Memorial and the D-Day landing beaches, full of history and emotions.
Also many sports activities:
Tennis 10 minutes away by car,
Swimming pool and aquatic centre,
Greenway at 150 meters (cycling, jogging, walks), all along the old railway line,
Fishing in the surrounding rivers,
Haras de la Motte equestrian club 8 minutes away by car,
Etc...
The village of St Julien le Faucon is 5 minutes away by car, 8 minutes by bike and 20 minutes on foot. You will find an excellent bakery-pastry shop, grocery store, pharmacy, doctor, café-tabac, hairdresser and a very good restaurant. Lisieux and Saint-Pierre sur Dives, nearby, have wonderful food markets. The train stations of Lisieux or Mézidon-Canon are 15 minutes away by car.
