The Spacious Rambling Ranch

Summary:

Our recently updated spacious suburban house offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, open-kitchen, W/D, and 2-car garage. Enjoy a larger ranch home, that is clean, and easy for a short stay. Our quiet street is a great area to stay, just between Hilliard and Columbus OH. We are about 15 min from downtown Columbus.



The Space:

Bright space, single-story ranch layout. Open kitchen and vaulted celling living/dining room. We have a separate bathroom in master suite. Enjoy large private yard. No indoor or outdoor fires please.



Other Things to Note:

Guests must provide a valid driver’s license or ID and sign our Rental Agreement after booking to receive arrival instructions. Parties & unauthorized gatherings are strictly prohibited, and hosts reserve the right to withhold arrival instructions of confirmed reservations from guests with negative or low reviews, are under 25 years old and/or live closer than 100 miles from the home at the host's discretion in an effort to ensure the safety and security of our community, (impacted guests will be notified shortly after booking, and a full refund will be provided if the guest cancels the reservation in a timely manner).



PET FEES: Guests are required to disclose how many pets will enter the home. A one-time fee will be required based on the length of stay for the following amounts:



$35 (Less than 5 nights)

$50 (5 - 30 nights)

$100 (30+ nights prorated daily, or $75 for each additional full month booked)

The Housepitality hosting team is a full time crew of professionals that work together to provide an excellent experience for our guests. We are out and about all the time helping guests, and we are thrilled when we get a chance to help make someone's trip special. Just reach out at anytime!

Don't Do It

The spacious Hilliard house, is not in Hilliard. The neighborhood is fine, but definitely out the outskirts of town. The house itself is a pig wearing lipstick. It was DIRTY and the furniture are items you would use for staging vs living. Major cracks in the walls, outlets without covers, doors not closing. They had so many rules, which were fine because it was just my son and I, but over the top compared to any other VRBO I've stayed in. When we arrived the code provided did not work, was able to connect with service and get in. Once in there was a beeping (battery dying in a smoke detector) but that was inside of a wall so I had to live with that till maintenance arrived around noon the next day. As for how dirty, they offered cleaning crews to come out, but as this time the house felt unsafe and we left. The amount of time out of my trip dealing with the basics that should have been done were ridiculous.

Terrible Unacceptable Expereince in Columbus at Spacious Hilliard

The property is listed as "Spacious Hilliard" Property. We (family of 5) went thru VRBO to stay on the west side of Columbus to attend my moms funeral 40 miles west. This allowed us to be with family from home town and Columbus. This was the worse experience we have had in our many VRBO rentals 1.We did not receive the codes to enter the property untiI I called the owner from the airport in Seattle the day we were to arrive as we in flight the entire day. I had to call 3 times to get entry codes. We paid at least a week before 2. We landed in Columbus at 8:30 pm to find messages telling us we could not have any visitors to the property because the neighbors restricted this - thus we canceled having my immediate family over for a cook out in this - so called spectacular patio and backyard area - note they show two chairs in the pictures and that is all the chairs they have to sit outside. This 3 bedroom house but only 2 chairs to enjoy the patio. They don't mention the proximity I 70 and I 270 - loud in the morning 3. The place was not clean- first spiders and centipedes were crawling up the walls we came in at about 10 Pm. We went to bed so we could get up early to attend my moms funeral. Getting ready the next morning we notice the dust and dirt under the beds in two rooms. A dirty towel was hanging in the shower. 3. After spending entire day at funeral we arrived back at house planning to spend day relaxing and BBQ for family get together at my brothers place. We woke up and the refrigerator was broke. We called to get it fixed but received no response> Instead of relaxing I had to take family out for lunch and make arrangements to buy food for family from caterers.. Meanwhile the owners rep stated tried to reach on website but no one called or texted. They blamed me for not responding while I was now spending money to eat out and pay caterers. 4. We were scheduled to spend 1 more day but I refused. we did not have refrigerator so we were forced to eat out all meals. so much for having a nice patio and grill. 5. I demanded a refund for the day we did not stay and filed a complaint to VRBO. To date we have not received response. I have rented many VRBO properties and been quite satisfied and have never written a negative resonse. 6. This place is listed as spacious Hilliard. It is not spacious - less than 1,500 sq ft I believe and not close to Hilliard ( about 5 Miles). Hilliard is nice village atmosphere but not close.

A short visit to Columbus

This property is in a quiet residential neighborhood on the east side of Columbus. Safe, clean property. We would stay here again. Close to pretty much everything we wanted to visit. Smooth process from check in to check out. Host was very responsive to messaging which we did primarily through the app. Minimalist as to furnishings, which we prefer. Bed was comfortable. Nice kitchen area with utensils, with ample dishes and glasses. Felt like we were stay at a friend’s open place for a few days.
