We, three girls, stayed at Waikiki Sunset in May 2026 and truly enjoyed our stay. The exterior and building looked a bit old, but the property was very well-maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable for the three of us.The location was also perfect — only a few blocks from the beach, yet far enough from the center of Waikiki to avoid the heavy traffic and crowds. We appreciated being able to enjoy some peace and quiet while still having easy access to everything.There were a few minor issues during our stay. The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work, so the washlet was unusable, and we had to dry our hair outside the bathroom. However, the property manager, Byron, was attentive and responded to our requests very quickly. He even called us outside of office hours to assist us, which we greatly appreciated.Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at Waikiki Sunset and would definitely like to stay there again in the future.

Great view of Diamond Head and the beach

We we very happy with our stay. All our boxes were checked: great view, full kitchen, walking distance to the beach and great restaurants, free parking!

Great location!

The property is located near a good area of the beach! The parking and onsite amenities are great as well. Enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning!

Great place

Easy walk to beach, clean rooms, free parking, great views. Work was being done on building when we stayed, so some inconveniences, but there's plenty to do in Oahu during those hours.

10/10 stay!!!

The check in process was super easy and fast. Communication was on point with the property manager. The room was a perfect fit for a group of 4! The view was pretty and the room had everything we needed. Walking distance to many things including the beach, shops, and restaurants! The building also had great amenities. Overall 10/10 stay would book again in the future.

Great place to stay for the price

The location is amazing and a lot of things are accessible from this hotel.. waikiki beach and marketplace are just 5 mins walk from the hotel. It has a nice pool and barbecue place to enjoy. Property manager Byron has been very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The room can accommodate 3-4 people but not more than that as the place is not so huge as i had expected. Overall i would recommend this property based in its cleanliness, location, balcony view, hotel amenities.

Reviewer Comments: The condo was in a good location with a great view. Although a bit dated it was spacious, the beds were good and it had all the amenities we needed. It was, however, too noisy for us being right next to the lift shaft. Also the very strong winds we encountered during our stay produced a loud wailing noise at the condo door. Eventually we stopped this by shoving stuff under the door. We would not stay here again.

Great place for a family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was our first vacation rental in Honolulu. With our 10&7 year old kids, it was a perfect place to stay. I liked a couple of Hawaiian wood plates and bowls to use. A nice table and 2 chairs on lanai and my husband and I enjoy having breakfast there looking at Diamond head every morning. You can see the ocean partially as well. A laundry room and garage dump room are on the same floor which was very convenient. A couple of maintenances are needed but we were very comfortable to stay and sleep. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool once. We walked to Waikiki beach often instead of using the pool. We rented a mini van, and it was very nice to use a parking spot in the same building. One free parking is a bonus in Waikiki. We would love to stay here again near future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed at this property previously specifically for the amenities. We travel in a large group (renting multiple units) and the barbq pool area is great. The only issue is we were alldownstairs barbqueing when the sky opened up. We went to the front desk asking if we could eat our dinner in the room poolside, they said ok as long as we ask security. They called security and we got approval w instruction to leave it clean. A security guard confronted us as we were moving inside, my niece explained we had permission from the front desk and his dept he insisted we leave the area or his boss would FIRE him. I asked him to call his boss so I might confirm our permission. He refused, insisting he was going to lose his job which brought my niece to tears. This was unnecessary and ruined our last evening at the property.

Reviewer Comments: 空港到着後に連絡し、チェックインの時間を少し早めてもらいました。当初連絡がつかなかったですが、無事連絡が取れチェックインでき非常に助かりました。部屋はきれいで景色もよく、サンセットがきれいに見えました。部屋も使い勝手がよく、駐車場もエクストラチャージが掛からずに利用できてとてもよかったです。次回も駐車場が無料なら再利用したいと思います。

The condo is what you'd expect

Reviewer Comments: キャプテンクックさんに初めてお世話になりました。#2706ですが、説明通りの施設でとてもノンビリすることができました。ワイキキマーケットまでは10分ほど。肉や魚を買って部屋で調理してのリラックスした夕食を楽しめました。また、朝ラナイでダイヤモンドヘッドやカピオラニ公園を眺めながらのコーヒータイムは最高でした。担当マネージャーのバイロンさんにも良くして頂きありがとうございました。また違うコンドも利用してみたいと思います。一点、備え付けの包丁が全く切れないので、ROSSで購入しましたが、これも楽しみですね。

Reviewer Comments: キャプテンクックさんを利用しての初めてのコンドミニアムでした。室内は写真で見ていたものと全く同じ。別々のベッド(ソファベッドも活用)で3名快適に寝ることができました。シャワーの勢いが弱めだったのが残念でした。バイロンさんにはLINEのやり取り含めて親切にしていただきました。次回もキャプテンクックさんのお世話になり、他の物件も試してみたいです。ありがとうございました。

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: クヒオ通りに近い割には静かで、警備員さんも常駐なので安心です。ただ、建物が古いですが。綺麗に使われています。お部屋に交換用のシーツが一枚もないのは、コインランドリー利用の部屋としては親切ではないかなー。

As a vacation rental is not a full-service resort hotel, we do not have on-site housekeeping staff, we are not able to offer amenities that a resort hotel would typically offer, such as daily housekeeping, linen service, or replenishment of your start-up supplies. I do apologize if that was not adequately conveyed, but please understand that this is an industry standard and one of the basic differences between a vacation rental condo vs. a full-service hotel room stay.
