Enjoy kayaking or paddle boarding all day on the quiet "No Wake" section on Jimmies Creek. Free High Speed internet, wifi and cable TV. Recently updated furnishings include; new furniture in all bedrooms, new family room furniture and new vinyl plank flooring throughout! Kitchen is fully equipped with new dishes and plenty of cookware and utensils to prepare any meal! Furnished screened porch with dining table, couch and chair with foot stool, soft lighting and views of Jimmies Creek provide a perfect evening at the Summer Fun. Gas grill available for tenants use. Book with confidence knowing that the house will be professionally cleaned and thoroughly sanitized prior to your occupancy. Convenient tie-off at dock and use of jet ski platforms. Pets are allowed with a $15 per day, per pet fee. For safety and security purposes there are surveillance cameras around the dock and common areas of the property.

The lake house was super relaxing and perfect for our summer family getaway. We definitely took advantage of the sun room and kayaks. Bernie was very communicative and answered all our questions. We'd love to stay again next time we're at Lake Gaston!

We had a wonderful time the lake house and would definitely book again, but wanted to share a few details that might help other travelers plan.The kitchen was a huge win — really well stocked with plates, glasses, cookware, and even spices, so just bring grocery! The covered porch was a favorite spot for us, and having kayaks available were a nice bonus.A few things to be aware of: the driveway, firepit, and dock/boat house area are all shared among the 3 neighboring houses, so have to be mindful/considerate in those spaces. The cove itself is a narrow shape, and the boat house blocks a good portion of the water view.None of these were dealbreakers, and the host was fantastic — responsive, flexible, and easy to work with throughout our stay. Overall a solid choice and highly recommended.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay celebrating my dad’s 75th birthday. The lake house was peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a special family getaway. The owners truly went above and beyond—the handwritten card they left for us was such a thoughtful touch and meant so much. The neighbors were also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only downside was the low water level due to the drought, but that was completely out of anyone’s control. Overall, we were blown away by the care and hospitality and would absolutely stay here again!

Title: Exceptional Hospitality! Accommodating and Spacious, with a Few Details to NoteWe had a wonderful stay and Bernie was incredibly pleasant to deal with, highly responsive, and made the communication process seamless. The house itself was exceptionally clean and offered plenty of spacious room for our group to gather and relax.We rented a 20’ pontoon boat from a local company and had it overnight, conveniently tied to the boat dock without issues. Renting a boat made this property more enjoyable.We want to share a few quick notes for future guests to help manage expectations, as a couple of the listing photos are slightly misleading. The view of the lake is about 80% obstructed by the dock and boathouse. Also, while there are two photos captioned “beach,” there is actually no beach area on the property. Lastly, remember to pack your own linens and bath, hand and beach towels, as they are not included.Despite these photo discrepancies, the excellent hospitality and pristine house made for a great trip. We highly recommend this host!

I reviewed the concerns you stated about the "Beach" comments. VRBO has been testing Ai to enhance listings and apparently depicted my water access remarks and water views as a beach and added those comments to two pictures. There is NO beach and I (me) did not represent the property as having a beach.This will be the second time I had to request that VRBO remove insertions like that. I chose to respond to your comment because I didn't know they were there and I value accuracy in my representations. I have 30 pictures posted on my listing and 10 are of the property grounds. Anyone can see that there is no beach. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, we would love to host you again and others who are seeking a pelasant vacation with a host who provides exceptional hospitality.

We had a fantastic stay at this Vrbo rental and would absolutely come back again. The host was wonderful—very responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our trip.The house itself was exactly what we were looking for—comfortable, well-kept, and perfectly suited to our needs. Being right on the water was a huge plus and made it easy to relax and enjoy our time at Lake Gaston, especially with the convenient access from the cove.We especially loved having access to the dock. Even though it’s shared, it felt like our own private space since the neighbors didn’t use it during our stay. The boat lift was a big bonus and made things really convenient. We also had a great time using the kayaks and paddle board that were available—it added a lot to the overall experience.Overall, this was a great stay, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient lake getaway.

Peaceful Family Week

The house is in a great location with everything you need to relax and unwind. We had three generations and all of us had the best time. There was plenty of room and the house was very well kept. There are puzzles and board games and a huge yard with a dock. The owners were so kind through the entire process.

Lake house stay

We loved the screened in porch and use of the kayaks. It was easy to walk the dogs in the neighborhood. The neighbors were also very hospitable. Thanks so much We would love to come back again

Fun times with friends at the lake

We stayed at Bernie’s house with some of our old college friends and had an awesome time. House was perfect for three couples - and we really enjoyed the easy dock access for the boat we rented.

We’re a group of friends that always spend some time on LKG every summer. The house was just what we needed. Adequate room, nice place to moor our boat, I got to bring my pup with me, & we loved the screened in porch! Would definitely stay here again!

Summer Relaxation

We had a wonderful week at this property. The house was very clean and comfortable! The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook. Bernie made check in easy and responded promptly with any questions I had about procedures and the house. We would definitely stay here again!

When we purchased our pleasure boat in 2017, it didn't come with a dock. So, in between the mooring's in the garage, we would book getaways to various waterways near Richmond and found Lake Gaston to be our favorite destination. We fell in love with the area and all the little coves we could explore by boat. We purchased our little piece of heaven as a personal vacation getaway with the possibility of sharing our love of the water with other vacationers like us. We hope you feel like you are at home when you plan your stay at the Summer Fun because we had you in mind when we decided to offer it to you on VRBO.

In addition to all the boating opportunities Lake Gaston offered, the general lay back lifestyle of the residents and visitors in the area resonated with us. Our son loves to fish, so when we started looking for a place of our own it was important to have a convenient fishing hole near the dock. Having convenient access to safe water for kayaking was also important. When we found Heritage Pointe this was an easy check on that box. There is a no-wake zone just north of our cove. Finding something tucked away from all the wave action from the main lake, but close enough to access was high on my list, and Heritage Pointe checked all those boxes too. Being a VRBO customer like you before we purchased, gave me insight on what you should expect at your temporary home. Top of the list, was having a dock to tie my boat to. It had to be in good repair and safe, with lighting. Next on my list was convenient access to the main lake by boat. I didn't want to navigate under tunnels or bridges to get to there. Next, a house in good repair without bugs or safety code violations. High on the comfort list, started with comfortable beds, furniture that wasn't falling apart and a fully equipped kitchen. You shouldn't have to pack skillets and measuring cups when you go on vacation, but...I used to. Because some of the rentals were so poorly equipped I started packing half my kitchen in the car. At The Summer Fun, you will have plenty of cookware, utensils, dishes and bowls to make almost anything. So leave all that stuff at home, including saran wrap! There is an electric griddle, vegetable steamer, drip coffee maker, espresso coffee maker, mini chopper, ninja blender, mixing bowls, casserole dishes, wine glasses, measuring cups and spoons, dishwasher tabs, dish towels, grilling tools and propane tank for your use.

If you are looking for peace and quiet on your vacation, this is the place for you. Our nearby neighbors are year round residents and not the partying types. They are cordial and will introduce themselves and help you launch a kayak or tie your boat off, but please respect their privacy as they will respect yours. If you are nice, they might introduce you to the best fishing hole on Jimmies Creek and invite you to a fishing challenge.
