A PERFECT place for a ROMANTIC escape in the heart of southwest Michigan. A modern cottage in a country setting. The bird feeder is kept full, the deer roam free, the creek runs year round, and the stars shine bright. Hygge atmosphere, like Winnie the Pooh says, “You don’t say it, you feel it.” You may even hear the coyotes howl.
Private but safe for the solo traveler as hosts are close.

Her wooded canopy will provide wildlife up close. The field across from the cottage may grace you with a new baby calf or you may see the Blue Heron walking down the creek. The sweep of deck or gazebo will allow for hours of outside lounging, games, and grilling.

Stop by our family owned store in 3-Rivers, and grab all you need to fix yourself a gourmet meal in our fully equipped kitchen. From steaks, to fresh brats, to smoked meat you should be able to find a favorite. Use the gas grill or for the true campers enjoy the camp fire.

1 hour from some really nice beaches on Lake Michigan.

We are in the country so the farm lane can be muddy at times. Also there are bugs and mosquitoes in seasons.

We had the best time. The property is absolutely beautiful. The cottage was perfectly decorated, and so clean! We loved the treats/snacks, and cinnamon buns. Loved the hot tub, gazebo and trail! Can’t wait to book another trip back to this property.

Restorative Joyful

We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Creekside Cabin. The land is beautiful, the property is well-maintained, and it has all you need. We saw over 30 bird species, had a close encounter with a Blue Heron near the hot tub, and enjoyed the little frogs playing in the creek. We also enjoyed a hike at Dr. TK Lawless Park, a short drive away. We hope to come back again soon.

Love this property!!! We had a tranquil, peaceful time during our stay. The Gazebo was relaxing and nature kept you entertained the entire time. This is our 2nd time visiting the Creekside Cabin and Bungalow while visiting family nearby. Dawn has created an atmosphere of welcome and comfort.Set in a location of outdoor beauty with a running stream, here is a place we woke to birdsong and homemade cinnamon rolls. Beautifully decorated, it has everything needed for a relaxing stay. We will be back.

Heavenly

This quaint cottage was the perfect place for my solo retreat. I spent hours enjoying the birds (at least 21 species!) and reading in the screened gazebo. The trail on the property was lovely and I took a beautiful hike at Lawless County Park--just 5 minutes from the cottage. The owners were so accommodating and friendly. This is one of the best places I have rented! I plan to return.

April Getaway

Totally Awesome! Place was impressive, secluded and private. Exceeded expectations by a bunch. If I could give 6 stars, I would. This hideaway had everything to make our stay perfect. Dawn had us setup with fresh cinnamon rolls to enjoy from the get go. There is a fire pit , a gazebo with table , grill and trails to follow. The bird feeder was so entertaining from many different birds and the cutest chipmunks. We are hoping to return soon. A great getaway!

We have stayed in the Bungalow on two previous occasions

This was our 2yr anniversary of dating. On our 6M anniversary we stayed there for the first time. The hosts are so Friendly and have thought of everything when they furnished all three of there cottages. Class A Couple. I'm sure we will make time to come back again in the summer when we can spend more time exploring the property.

Perfect Little Getaway

This was possibly the nicest VRBO we have stayed in. The owner's attention to detail was top notch, the perfect home away from home. If you're wanting a quiet retreat, this is the perfect place. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for location is that it is a bit remote, so if you're looking for a lot of activities, it is definitely small town. For us, it was perfection. Loved the local restaurants and the location of Swiss Valley skiing. Be sure to check out The Friendly Bar & Grill and Wakey Jakes! We will definitely be coming back.

Special Place

The cottage is lovely, immaculately clean, with so many thoughtful touches. The hosts have thought of everything their guests could possibly need, even leaving us delicious cinnamon rolls. We really enjoyed the location, nestled in a wooded area with a picturesque stream running beside the cottage. The only regret was the listing stated having a hot tub, which was incorrect. We stayed for my husband's 50th birthday, and a hot tub was his one request he asked me for when finding us a place to stay, so that was disappointing. However, the overall stay was wonderful and I would definitely recommend.

We are originally from the heart of a Amish/Mennonite community in Indiana.
Moved to this beautiful state of Michigan some 20 years ago.

We love entertaining, taking long walks, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with our family.

We have years of experience running a Bed and Breakfast, a dairy, and owning and operating our own bakery and restaurant.

Last and definitely not least we have raised eleven very amazing children, all of whom are married and have amazing spouses. They have blessed us with 45 grandchildren and 3great grandchildren.

Our lives are rich and we thank God for all the blessings we enjoy.

We would love to share our lives with you through this little slice of tranquility here at Creek Side Cottage.

If you really need a quiet place to get away from it all.
You will enjoy this cottage. You don't have to see anyone if you don't want to. Such a good place to connect with nature and each other.
It's beautiful, but depending on the season you may experience mosquitoes, bugs, other creeping critters. You also may hear farm noises as this is a working farm.
All in all we try to keep it peaceful and quiet.
