The Space:

The Pesky Pelican is a lovely beachfront home located in the quiet area of the Bolivar Peninsula. You will be amazed by the panoramic views up and down the beach from this 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. The comfortable furnished deck is a great place to watch the sunrise or just read a book in the calm gulf breezes.



The living area has seating for everyone and a large television. High speed internet will allow you to access your Netflix and other favorite streaming accounts. This is open to a large island with seating, and plenty of counter space. The well-appointed kitchen (including a regular drip coffee maker) will make entertaining your guests a breeze. You'll also enjoy having a washer and dryer on the premises.



With over 1600 square feet, the home sleeps 14 comfortably. The primary suite has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and separate tub. Bedroom two has a queen bed with a tub/shower bath. Bedroom three offers two sets of built-in full over queen bunk beds, and bedroom 4 has a full bed. Additional sleeping is available on the queen sized sleeper sofa. All bedrooms feature flat screen TVs (digital antenna).



The ground level patio area features an outdoor shower and a charcoal grill. We know that once you visit The Pesky Pelican, you are going to want to come back!



Two small dogs (under 35 pounds) are allowed with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

Well maintained property. Love that it is front row to the beach with an amazing view and right where beach access is. We had such an amazing time! Room with double bed actually has a bunk bed in it now. I called the propery manage once brcause of the bbq pit not being able to use and within 30 minutes they had another one out to us to use. Loved this property. Would absolutely stay again!

We were so thankful for this because we had the best time here. The beach house was clean, huge, welcoming, and the best location. Swedes was amazing on the transition and I can’t be more thankful. My family has booked on Labor Day weekend for 20 plus years and this was a hard year after losing one of our family members. Swedes blessed us with an amazing weekend. Thank you owners for sharing your beach house with us for a much needed family trip. Will book again.

Perfect for families!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was right on the beach and had direct access to walk down easily. Our golf cart fit down the walkway easily as well. The golf cart wasn't necessary but was fun for the kids and helped with carrying down large canopies to the beach. I highly suggest the linen package. It would have been more work for us to bring everything and wash everything before we left. My only suggestion is if you have a toddler or child you want to keep from going down the stairs, bring large zip ties for the baby gate. There is a baby gate provided but it was not large enough to fit the outside stairs. The kitchen was fully stocked and had basic spices and coffee items. Plenty of cookware and a crockpot.

Absolutely the best experience for us! Private location & great beach access! Will be staying again!

Very easy to get checked in & house was nice and well stocked. We got the linen package simply because we wanted to hv everything readily available. Plenty of room for everyone and the best location!

Far exceeded my expectations

We loved staying at the Pesky Pelican. The location was perfect almost private beach access a very short 2 min walk from the porch to the beach. Very quiet area on the beach. It rained almost the whole time we were there which was unfortunate but the house had games and plenty of covered porch downstairs for the kids to play with the shells they had collected and other games. Great outdoor shower, had two charcoal grills downstairs, had several picnic tables downstairs, well equipped kitchen, great bedroom layouts to accommodate everyone, easy check-in and out process. The only thing I would recommend is going directly through SWEDES Management to rent as it is a little cheaper and can save you some additional fees.
