Another great stay in Carolina Beach! This is our second time booking this property. Great value for the location with easy access to all that Carolina Beach has to offer. We’ve never had an issue with this condo, always a great time!

This is a lovely condo sandwiched between the ocean and the canal. It's conveniently located for easy access to the beach, water activities, restaurants, and entertainment. The condo itself is clean, very cozy, and inviting. It's roomy, but not enormous. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which gives each guest occupying a bedroom his/her own private space. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials you need to cook and eat in if you choose. The living room is very comfortable and makes you feel at home. I would definitely come back again and would recommend this little condo to friends and family who wanted to vacation in Carolina Beach.

This was our second time staying at Sunshine Daydream and we loved it just as much this time around! The condo is very clean, nicely stocked, conveniently located and has beautiful views of the marina. You can walk to so many different restaurants. We can’t wait to come back for our next trip!

This was the most well equipped VRBO in which we have stayed. Tons of cookware, appliances, play settings, and glassware. The furnishings were great quality, and the place was very clean. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood near the beach. We highly recommend!

Adorable cozy beach cottage! Well appointed, very comfortable and so clean. We loved hanging out on the porch. Great people watching and everyone was so friendly walking by. Fabulous location with direct access to the beach and pier. We can’t wait to visit again. Hosts were lovely and very responsive to questions.

The condo was exactly as advertised. Very Comfortable and the location was perfect- close to everything you need or might want to do. The hosts, Greg and Carole, were terrific and very responsive when we had questions.

This was a great two bedroom condo perfect for us. Everything was clean as can be. We sat on the deck every moment we were there. There’s a heavenly breeze with very comfortable chairs. The town of Carolina Beach was within walking distance for us. We are in our mid 70s and had no problem walking around the town. and we really enjoyed getting our exercise each day and trying out new restaurants and coffee places. The small harbor across the street was so much fun to watch the boats come and go. We saw a lot of pelicans diving for their food. The highlight was seeing the old sea turtle. He was absolutely huge and one of the boats was feeding him fish. That was a thrill. The sunsets were amazing too!

Unfortunately, this property did not meet our expectations based on the listing. The photos primarily showed the interior, so we were very surprised by the awful condition of the exterior when we arrived. In our opinion, the outside of the property appeared very run-down and in need of significant maintenance. We were also surprised by how small the pool was; when we arrived, approximately 4–6 people were sitting around the edge and it already felt at capacity.We expressed our concerns to the property manager, who was there when we arrived. She encouraged us to go inside and see the unit, but we were uncomfortable with the condition and appearance of the interior check in, exterior and exterior stairs and chose not to go up or enter the property.We ultimately decided not to stay. I don't enjoy leaving a negative review or hurting someone's business, but VRBO has repeatedly asked for an honest review, and I think future guests should have a complete picture when deciding whether this property is right for them. I would strongly suggest that the listing include current photos of the building's exterior, stairs, pool, and surrounding areas so guests know what to expect before booking.

Hello Sue, We are genuinely sorry that Sunshine Daydreams did not meet your expectations upon arrival, but we would like to clarify a few important details for future guests. We feel it's entirely unfair to judge a rental experience on the parking area. Our building recently underwent an extensive exterior renovation, including all-new HardiPlank siding and fresh paint, representing a significant investment by the owners. While coastal properties are constantly exposed to the elements, we take great pride in maintaining both our property and the guest experience. It is one of the nicer buildings on the Island and in a prime location. Our listing clearly discloses that this is a non-elevator building with stairs. Additionally, we spoke with you at length on the phone prior to your arrival to discuss the stairs, accessibility, and layout of the property, after which you chose to proceed with your reservation. Upon arrival, we encouraged you to view the condo itself before making a decision, but you declined to even enter the property. Unfortunately, your review does not reflect the accommodations or experience inside Sunshine Daydreams, which has consistently earned five-star reviews from our guests. I do not feel a person can accurately assess accomodations from a parking area, which by the way is cleaned and swept regularly by maintenance. Our pool is a shared amenity, and its size and occupancy can naturally vary throughout the day. We understand that every traveler has different preferences and expectations, and we respect your decision not to stay. We remain proud of Sunshine Daydreams and the wonderful experiences our guests continue to enjoy.
