If you're looking to enjoy the lake life, Huckleberry House is for you. Situated on popular Dewey Lake in SW Michigan in Sister Lakes. The lake home was designed for you and your family to have a great time. The 145' lakefront property is on the channel of Dewey Lake - go kayaking or fish right off the pier and enjoy the privacy of large trees and few neighbors. Visit the private beach just a quick walk down the street.

Dewey Lake has a sandbar where many anchor up together to have fun in the sun with family and friends.

Message me for our Pontoon Package. Yes, you can have access to a pontoon boat the entire time you're at the Huckleberry House.

Dogs allowed. Noon check out time!

Very nice vacation house. loved relaxing and playing games in the sunroom. Great location for wine tastings in the area and a short drive to Lake MI.

Amazing stay! Beds are extremely comfortable, overall place is cute, homey, and clean. Love that it is dog friendly! We had such a wonderful time. Only hang up was Dowagiac does not have many dog-friendly restaurants and places. So we had to travel 20-30min to go to dog friendly restaurants. Besides that, our stay here was wonderful!

This has been an easy and very successful vacation process. Lori was friendly and responded immediately on every occasion. The cottage is my vision of what a lakeside cottage should be: comfortable and homey in every sense and well stocked. I wondered how it would be to be situated on a canal instead of on the main lake. But it was great. A small public beach was very near and the canal offered privacy and a nice view.I’d happily return.

The property was great. Right on the water. The Potoon boat was enjoyed by all of us. The house was clean and well equipped. We had 7 adults and had plenty of room.

Great property, great time!

The property was as described and pictured. It was everything we needed for a great, relaxing stay. We really appreciated finding a dog friendly property so we could bring our 7 month old golden retriever. We also rented the pontoon boat which was the highlight of the trip. Lori was great with communication and provided a nice list of things to do in the area. Overall, we had a lot of fun and would return.

Weekend at May's end.

We once again enjoyed our time at Huckleberry House. We spent a great deal of time fishing as a family. The pontoon was perfect for 6 of us fishing or cruising around Dewey Lake. We actually caught 107 bluegill, perch, and large mouth bass. We released all, but had a blast!!! I personally enjoyed a kayak ride to the sandbar. We ate at Timberline Inn one night and cooked steaks and lasagna the other two. The kitchen was stocked well, but we always being our own spices, groceries, etc. The living area has comfy couches as well. We also enjoyed two bonfires in the side yard. Lori answered any question within minutes and was very helpful.We love this rental and will be back again!

Super chill spot

Lovely stay at the Huckleberry House!

My family rented the Huckleberry house for 4 nights and we had an amazing time! Lori is a wonderful host, the area is cute with plenty of restaurants and the house was perfect for our family! We drove to Silver Beach on Lake Michigan which wasn’t too far and enjoyed Dewey lake. Thank you for a great stay!

First Class Lake Living and the Pontoon is awesome!

My family absolutely loved the Huckleberry House experience. More than just a "stay" as we also rented the pontoon boat and it was a blast - daytime jaunts to the sand bar and evening sunset cruises. I loved the place and location- the sister Lakes are great with great restaurants. Only a half hour to visit St Joseph and Lake Michigan. Lori, the host is super communicative and professional. We could not ask for a better host. Thank you so much! It is a quick- 2 minute - walk to the private beach and the kayaks were fun for exploring. The layout of the house is awesome, and decorated with a modern yet comfy style with the main living room and kitchen in the center and bedrooms and baths on either side. The beds were comfortable and all the linens were quality and beautiful- even the beach towels. The bunks were perfect for the kids. We like to cook and we did not want for any utensils or containers. Well stocked with plates and bowls. Everything about the house is kept up - the grounds and the interior. I could go on and on..... A guaranteed hit for a Lake house rental.

Amazing lake house

One of my favorite vacation stays so far. Not only was the house fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The host was extremely nice and answered all my questions. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet vacation.

Great escape from reality

We enjoyed the quiet time for rest and relaxation. We rented the pontoon boat and loved swimming at the sandbar, putting around the lake and watching the sunsets on the water. Highly recommend!

Layout of the house was very nice. Everything we needed for meals was in the kitchen(pot, pans, etc) House was clean and ready to go when we arrived. Boat ran great all week.

Cute little lake house and town

Lori was a fantastic host! Super responsive, provided a lot of great info including some really good restaurant recommendations (check out Woodfire Trattoria if you’re in the area!), and made sure the house had everything we needed. The town is small so we spent most of our time using the kayaks and pontoon boat, but St. Joseph isn’t a far drive and has more to check out. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay and enjoy some water activities, as well as a cute house and wonderful host, I recommend Huckleberry House!

Memorial weekend fun!

Wonderful home and location! We enjoyed our time at this lovely home over Memorial weekend! There are wonderful conversation areas around the property, inside, in screened/glass room, patio, and fire pit! We enjoyed the people boating down the channel, as everyone on the lake was friendly. The kitchen was well stocked with cook ware and spices. We used the grill to make a steak dinner and enjoyed it on the patio. We especially enjoyed their pontoon boat on Dewey Lake. We caught around 50 fish! So much fun!!! I also took the kayak provided down the channel. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Everything was wonderful!!! We hope to be back again! Thank you, Lori!

An amazing Labor Day weekend!

If you are looking for a rental that literally has everything except your clothes, then this is it! There was nothing we needed that this property didn’t have—and there were 10 of us (some needier than others…) The house was cute, the location was serene, and the lake was perfect. Such a fun getaway for our group of 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 8-14). Everyone was kept busy with fishing, swimming, boating and relaxing by the firepit. It was the best way to close out our summer, and Lori was a great host! Would highly recommend!

Family + Fun = Memories

Our stay at The Huckleberry House was Pure Michigan. Loving everything that Dewey Lake had to offer, we even took time to visit the beaches of Lake Michigan. Huckleberry House had all the comforts of home. Lori, my family had an amazing time.

12th Anniversary Getaway

My husband & I, along with our dog, celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary with a trip to Huckleberry Lane & it was perfect! Early morning coffee on the deck, walks around the lake & fishing off the pier while enjoying all that nature had to offer on the channel. We also rented the pontoon which was definitely a nice add. We floated, made trips to the sand bar to cool off & watched the sunsets. The house was cute, comfortable & had all the accommodations needed. Lori was great at communicating with us. And we really enjoyed our stay.

So Impressed!

From start to finish, Lori and Huckleberry House impressed us! We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. The cottage is extremely clean and furnished like a dream. Whatever we needed, Lori had on hand — from plenty of towels to the smallest safety pin for our daughter’s blouse. We will most definitely be back for a return visit!

Great Lake House with a wonderful host

Lori answered any questions we had along the way. The house was comfortable and felt like home away from home. We loved the screened porch in the mornings. We paid extra for the boat and the family loved it! It was well worth the extra cost. Thank you for letting us stay at your cute lake house!
