Charming house with great views looking over a vineyard - but not worth the price.

House was fine - very charming - except for the cat pee smell and a bathtub that did not work. Also, we were not made award of the lockbox for house key until we had to ask.

Farmhouse FUN!

If you are looking...look no further! This precious place has it all! Our family of 4 (boys ages 8 & 11) LOVED our stay here. The property is just beautiful; the farmhouse is so cozy & quaint; the location between Dillard/Clayton, GA & Highlands, NC was so ideal for going to restaurants & shopping! We took advantage of hiking the property; fishing in the pond; building a fire in the fire pit and then had some fun at the Highland Outpost for some snow-tubing! Rachel (property manager) was so prompt in communicating via the app and was kind enough to allow us a few extra hours on our check out day to allow us to come back and change after snow-tubing! We area already planning a trip back this summer to take advantage of all the fun summer activities!

Positively perfect in every way!!!

I can't say enough about this pristine farmhouse! We were looking for some downtime in the mountains and this lovely farmhouse exceeded every expectation! When we pulled around the drive revealing a stunning vista of grape vines with a mountain backdrop, I was hooked! Upon entry to the home I kept gasping "YES...YES....YES!!! Perfect!! So beautiful!! I'm never leaving!!" I almost don't want to share its existence, lest I try to book and it's occupied, because we will ABSOLUTELY be returning! Rachel is wonderful and attentive to work with, and the vineyard property where this home is nestled, is snap out of a romance novel. The beds were very comfortable, and the decor charmed throughout! I could tell great thought was in every detail. I just read my review to my husband who echoed my sentiments saying, "that is spot on", so there ya go... top reviews from both genders! Look no further!

Weekend in the Mountains

Scaly Mountain Vineyard Getaway

We had a lovely stay at the Farmhouse! The communication with Rachel (the property manager) was very easy and she responded very quickly to my questions. The welcome packet I received via email was great and gave a lot of suggestions for local tips and things to do in the area. The directions to the property were thorough and helpful. The Farmhouse was clean and decorated beautifully. We enjoyed sitting on the two porches, listening to the birds, looking at the vineyard, and eating some of our meals. out there. We walked around the vineyard and went to a wine tasting that happened to be scheduled during our stay there. The stars are beautiful at night and we enjoyed stargazing in the evenings. The location is great and near Highlands (which has many great restaurants) and also adjacent to a lot of hiking and waterfalls We had a fabulous time and would love to stay here again in the future!

Relaxing Mountain Vineyard Getaway

For a quiet weekend or weeklong retreat, this is a near perfect place. Our stay in the Farm House cottage overlooking the vineyard and events pavilion was both relaxing and engaging. Enjoy early morning or evening walks around the perimeter of the property where you can take in the beauty of the vineyard, say hello to the neighbor’s cows (and during our spring time stay, baby calves!) and just listen to the birdsongs. This may just turn into an annual return for us!

Wonderful!

This was a perfect getaway to the Mountains! The Farmhouse was adorable and the entire property on the Vineyard was just beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the tub was my favorite part! We feel rejuvenated after our trip!

Great long weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at the farm house. It is situated on a beautiful NC vineyard which makes for a beautiful view at all times. It is well situated within the NC mountains with easy access to great hiking and great eating/shopping (Clayton and Highlands), but even in our downtime, the property was a fun to explore. The house was comfortable and a great stay for my family (2 adults, 3 and 5 year old). The kitchen could have been better supplied, but we can easily look past that because of how positive the experience in all other elements of the house. We found the cardinal!

Cozy cottage in a vineyard

We loved our stay at Scaly Mountain. The cottage was perfect for enjoying a quiet Christmas Eve and Christmas day. We even had a white Christmas! Beautiful location in a vineyard with lovely view of the area. Much thought has been put into the cottage decor, and it is very lovely. Would stay there again.

Vineyard Scaly Mountain

Picture Perfect!

We had a 16th Wedding Anniversary get away to this picture perfect farm house. The views, walks, atmosphere and the vineyard will be something we always treasure. We have plans to return.

Best Airbnb I've stayed in

You know how you typically rent a vacation property and when you walk in the door you are a little disappointed because the pictures make the place look so much better??? Well that didn't happen with this place! This little farmhouse and surrounding vineyard far exceeded our expectations. The house is DARLING and very comfortable. The surrounding vineyard is lovely and peaceful. The location is great- close to Highlands, great hiking and shopping. I can't recommend this place enough- you won't be disappointed!

Perfect quiet family weekend away (with young kids)

Just what we needed to getaway and enjoy a relaxing family weekend. The Farmhouse cottage was very clean, charming, and provides a beautiful view overlooking the vineyard. We brought a camping stove and with the available fridge, toaster, microwave and hot plate, managed to make a few meals with no issues, . We enjoyed jogging around the property and hiking nearby trails. The porches were wonderful in the evenings watching the sun set over the vineyard or in the mornings for sitting with a cup of coffee while the kids played. The 15 min drive to highlands is convenient for shopping and dining. There was nothing we would’ve changed! Thank you again for opening up your beautiful cabin.

Heavenly Spot

During this crazy covid time, we needed a quick getaway and were fortunate to have been able to stay in the lovely farmhouse on this vineyard property. It was just what we were looking for and we were even able to bring our sweet pup Chloe with us! Between the pond and the grazing cows, she had quite the adventure! We would highly recommend this lovely spot!!

Weekend in the mountains

Wonderful setting, loved the idylic vineyard. The property has amazing views. Cottage small but pretty, light and airy. We really enjoyed reading a book drinking a glass of wine on the porch overlooking the vines. Great host. Would go back in a heart beat!

Wonderful Place

We had a great time at Scaly Mountain. The place was clean, cozy, and relaxing. We were surprised to discover that there wasn't a kitchen, but that was my fault; I simply did not read the description fully. Rachel was really helpful and got us a toaster oven. This place would be absolutely perfect if it had a full kitchen. As it is, it is an excellent place for getaway!! I highly recommend it.

Vineyard Retreat

What a hidden gem! We spent 4th of July weekend here with our 2 girls. Comfortable and cute cottage, gorgeous property with vineyards and gardens. Close to hiking and shopping in Highlands or Clayton.
