Two Nights Not Enough!

I wish I could have stayed longer. Just in town for business and found this charming and comfortable seaside home. Everything I needed and just a short walk to restaurants and shopping. Lovely first floor queen bedroom with attached full bath. This is a water view, historic home with New England charm. I hope to return some day!

Amazing!!

First, what a great location to everything. But most importantly what a great house! Came here for my bestie's 40th and she absolutely loves old houses. The house alone made her birthday. Then the host is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for letting us stay, Gerard! We will definitely book this house any time we come to Mystic.

Loved this sweet cozy house in the middle of town! Couldn’t ask for a better location, just steps from the village! Beautiful well appointed house with absolutely everything you need to be comfortable. Wonderful host and communication. Would definitely come back for a longer stay!

Beautiful and so much fun!

We had a great family reunion for my sisters and I. So much to do, the cittage is beautiful and so well cared for. All kinds of amenities and Gerard couldnt have been more helpful and responsive. Already talking about making this our annual get together!!!

This is the third time we have stayed here and it continues to be the best place to stay in Mystic. Its location to all the shops as well as the attractions is perfect. The view right on the water is nice and relaxing and just what a family needs to recharge from the craziness of life!! Gerard could not have been any more perfect. Great Location

We had a great time in Mystic to celebrate my brother getting married. You can't beat the location, minutes walk from downtown. Very nice historic home, exceeded everyone's expectations.

Great Mystic Location

Fantastic location to the shops and restaurants of Mystic. Home is spacious and well appointed, not to mention charming old New England feel. Owner went out of his way to make sure we checked in and had no problems.

Great House

A group of friends rented this home to celebrate our 75th birthdays. The listing accurately portrays this property which is tastefully furnished in early American deco and has a well appointed kitchen and baths. Our two favorite things were the table and and lawn chairs facing the Mystic River and the proximity to town, restaurants and shopping. We would definitely rent this home again.

Perfect Location

Not only perfect location, but perfect in every way. Second time at this location, but once again it checks all the boxes. Gerard was always available for questions, not that we had many as the house was fully equipped to suit all our needs and instruction manual was precise. Large rooms ,pristine environment with beautiful kitchen, fully stocked . We were fortunate to have amazing weather so the beautiful outdoor seating area provided many afternoons enjoying the sunshine and views of the water. The close proximity to most shops and restaurants left us doing little driving. Looking forward to our return visit

Amazing Location!

The Captain's House was truly perfect for our recent stay in Mystic! We've been vacationing here for years and this was by far the best location! From top to bottom, the house was extremely clean, had the coziest charm and everything we needed for a relaxing week. Gerard was so thoughtful, checking in periodically to make sure everything was going well. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with coffee & other items and the dining room was lovely if you like to eat-in. The outdoor patio space had gorgeous views of the river and the proximity to Main street was really convenient for walking to restaurants and shops. We stayed a week but it felt like a month given how we felt so at home and comfortable in this house.

Mystic Charm

Perfect location for a stay in Mystic. Great water views for relaxing on the inviting outdoor patios. And with traffic and parking at a premium you can walk most everywhere. This historic home welcomes you with a pleasant surprise that steps you into another era when you arrive. Thoughtfully restored. Use caution with the restored original floorboards but they add to the charm. Periodic decor yet all the modern conveniences. Spotlessly clean. Owner is easy to reach and quick to respond to any questions. Thanks Gerard. Had a great time.

Memorable

If you are planning a family trip that includes walking to the center to visit the quaint shops, a sunrise kayak experience in the Mystic river, a glass of wine with family and friends overlooking the fabulous sunset over the Mystic river, then this place is for you. Gerard could not have been a more gracious host. He was very pleasant and very quick to respond to all of our needs. We had a group of 7 adults so planned to cook many of our meals. The kitchen had all of the essentials and was very well stocked and the Weber grill was fabulous. Must sees while in Mystic: the Mystic Aquarium ( particularly the Beluga whales), Jonathan Edwards Winery in No. Stonington, Stonington Farmers Market The Velvet Mill, all fabulous take ins. As the Matriarch of the family, I heard quite a few times during the trip "this is awesome" and this was completely due to the location and this fabulous house. We will definitely consider staying here again. Thank you for making the experience so incredibly memorable.

We had an excellent stay at the Captain’s House. It was comfortable, well-appointed and exceptionally clean. We loved sitting on the patio and enjoyed our view of the Mystic River. A wonderful repeat stay!

We love staying here and have already booked it for next year. We are a five minute walk to restaurants and ice cream … critical when the temperature was in the 90’s! Perfect Mystic location

This is my third day at this property, and as always am delighted with my stay. Gerard was in constant communication and had answers to all my questions and needs, although they were few as everything was so well explained upon check-in. This property is impeccably maintained, Beautifully decorated, and has every modern convenience you would need for your stay in beautiful Mystic.You have beautiful views of the water, and almost everything is within walking distance.I look forward to my next visit

Gem right in the heart of downtown Mystic

This house is absolutely perfect for your stay in Mystic! Steps from all the shops and restaurants and the decor fits this little seaport town perfectly. Owners were so nice and communication was top notch! Very clean and all amenities included!! Highly recommended and hope to stay again soon!
