Glacier Suites Hatcher Pass is a decadent 2,409 square foot private abode where families, friends or retreats can gather. Enjoy extremely private, wooded grounds, including private gate access, loads of upgraded amenities, ample outdoor spaces, as well as close proximity to adventures at Hatcher Pass. Off the beaten path but close enough to everything, our guests say they never want to leave our Hatcher Pass home.
Located just minutes from the beautiful Hatcher Pass and only 15 minutes from downtown Palmer, Alaska, our fully-furnished home offers a large (and fully-stocked) professional kitchen, a charming living area and in-floor radiant heat throughout. Keep up with business using the included wifi in the beautiful library/office. Take a soak in the jacuzzi tub after an adventure on Hatcher Pass. Grill out & enjoy wooded views from the large outdoor deck or Netflix and chill on our smart TV.
Palmer is just 45-60 minutes northeast of Anchorage, and is a an ideal basecamp for all kinds of attractions throughout south central Alaska. While adventure & activities (like Hatcher Pass, the Reindeer Farm, Musk Ox Farm, Glacier Tours, and more!) are practically right in our backyard, we are also a great go-between for stays ranging north to Talkeetna & Denali National Park, northeast to the Matanuska Glacier & out to the Al-Can Highway, and, of course, south to the fishing & outdoor mecca that is Alaska's Kenai Peninsula.
We make your Alaskan getaway comfortable, clean and convenient. Private accommodations for up to 8 guests at this residence include:

Please note that the area surrounding our Glacier Suites Hatcher Pass home is currently under development and is visible when driving into the property. Forest seclusion in style

Property located in the forest via easy- to-drive dirt road off of the main roadway. Our GPS (Waze) found it perfectly. Zero routing issues. Super clean home, beautiful kitchen. A few of the cooking pans may need to be replaced soon but that is a minor nit-pick. Our stay was amazing, had a Moose show up our last day, grubbing on some vegetation right outside the main sitting area's window. All slept comfortably, perfect temperature in the home. The nearby scenic drives were stunning. Property Manager was super easy to contact and was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here. We sure will again without hesitation.

Beautiful!

This was a wonderful property, and the landlady was really on top of it; answering our calls and/or emails immediately. My only "complaint." The photos show active fireplaces (one in the living room and one in the master bedroom), however, we were NOT allowed to use them. I would have been more than willing to leave an extra deposit for the privilege of using them. Also, there is no dishwasher in this beautiful home. Both bathrooms have jacuzzi tubs that fill and empty very efficiently. Ample parking, a great pantry with basics that we could use. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in the Palmer area.

Großes Haus in einer besonderen Lage

Das Haus liegt außerhalb von Palmer auf dem Weg zum Hatchers Pass mitten im Wald. Der Blick durch die Rundumverglasung auf das Grün ringsum und die Berge ist dadurch ganz speziell. Alle Wohnbereiche strahlen durch die großzügige Holzverwendung eine wohnliche Wärme aus. Wir waren begeistert.

I love this house and property

We've always had a great stay here. I actually book my trip around the availability of this property. I'm sad to see that the neighborhood is being developed, but it doesn't detract from the stay in any way (and I understand the draw.) The renovations are a huge improvement! Beautiful workmanship.

This home is absolutely beautiful! Clean, large and private .. we would stay here again if we should return to the area. (The road construction is a bit of a distraction, but we decided to let it add to our adventure).

Nice House

We stayed here for 4 night and although the house is nice it has a couple draw back’s right now. The construction going on by the house on the dirt road is massive. A long drive on dirt and uneven gravel caused the undercarriage to scrape and the car to have a layer of dust both inside and out. The only house complaints we had was the struggle to sleep with 24 Hour Summer Daylight and no covering on the large window in the bedroom upstairs. Also, with no AC in the house it got very hot during the day to a point the small ceiling fans couldn’t cool it down. I was hoping to find portable fans but there were none, until now, I had to buy one to sleep and left it there for others. The house was comfortable other than that, cleaning could have been better, we arrived to food in the fridge, and dishes in the sink. We strongly suggest you bring drinking water as the water smell might turn you off of drinking it. I think this house is best during Winter months.

We loved the property setting and the house couldn't have been more perfect for our stay. Our host was excellent with clear communcation. It was the cherry on top of our Alaskan vacation.

Amazing property!

Super clean,very quiet and relaxing! The views were amazing! Lots of birds,squirrels and we even had a visit from Becky The moose!!!!! We had a little trouble finding but we're greeted by a nearby neighbor who says "happens all the time!" then gave us correct location. Google maps,not very good,lol. Very tiny sign for entrance. Other than that little thing,we had an amazing stay.

Fantastic Wilderness Getaway

This property exceeded expectations in many ways. The wooded serenity is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Recommend bringing bottled water for drinking and brushing teeth, otherwise get ready to relax!!

Hidden Gem

Tucked back a ways in the woods, this place worked perfectly for our our stay. We were in the area to attend a wedding at the government peak chalet. We couldn't have stayed anywhere more fitting.

Wonderful property! Beautiful setting. Very quiet & secluded. Awesome place for a family vacation.

Great experience. Was easy to book. Description of property was spot on. Would book again if it’s still available on VRBO in a year or two. Have family in Palmer so make annual trips.

Family friendly with lots of space and outdoor activities

Great layout for us and our 6 grandkids. Plenty of space for everyone. Easy access to Hatcher Pass. Loved the decks and the outdoor fire pit. Great yard for playing outdoors. Had everything we needed to be comfortable. We did miss a dishwasher but we adapted and used paperplates and plastic silverware for everyday use. The sulpher smell in the water took a day or two to get use to but we adjusted. I suggest bottled water and bagged ice for drinks. We brought board games and bikes to keep everyone entertained. Nice long driveway for bike rides and walks. Little grocery store down the road made it easy for last minute items.

A haven in the forest

I wasn't sure what to expect with regard to where the house is located, but, I was blown away when I reached the end of the half mile driveway and came to a gate. The house is in the middle of a forest!! It's gorgeous and so peaceful!! The house is beautiful, and has nice finishes. Very comfortable!

Private and Peaceful

The house is as beautiful as pictured and well maintained. We were pleased to find shampoo, conditioner and body soap available. The gas grill and kitchen were great for fixing meals. If there was a way to start the inside gas fireplaces, we couldn't find it but that didn't deter us from having a good stay. If you have a chance, check out the nearby old gold mine, it's worth the drive.
