The cabin itself was cozy, quiet and clean and the surroundings were peaceful and tranquil, as advertised. However, beyond that, there were several things that had a negative impact on our stay. It was clearly stated under amenities that breakfast was included. My elderly parents arrived first and were told there was no breakfast in the "off-season". So, they were left, well out of town, with no food.It was also stated that there would be a washer and dryer. Nope. Neither one.It would have been helpful to know that the bathroom doors were extremely narrow, as we discovered my mom's walker would not fit into the bathrooms. The evening we arrived (Wednesday) there was a strong smell of sewer. It took until Friday midday to get the pipes flushed.out and alleviate the odor.On our first night, we went to lock up, and the door handle broke off so we could not secure our cabin. They came to fix it the next day, but the first time we used it, it broke again. We notified our host but no effort was made to fix it during the next 3 days. Since we had to make our own breakfast, we made toast. because we didn't want to cook or do dishes on our getaway. Unfortunately, every time the toast popped up, the smoke alarm went off, disturbing those who were still sleeping. The toast was NOT burned The rocking chair in the cabin was broken and could not be used, but they did bring us another chair.
