The Jeff is a boutique hotel and private oasis located on Charlottesville's historic Downtown Mall. Nestled above the world famous Jefferson Theater, you'll find sleek spaces, soaring archways, and subtle luxury with a rock and roll edge. Once you're inside these soundproof walls the world recedes like a dream – until you're ready to emerge, refreshed, with the heart if the city on your doorstep.

"Suites" with king beds w/additional living area
"Studios" standard king bedroom

Jeff Suite 202: Each room is individually furnished with a distinct personality. Think effortless cool, creamy suede, and desert colors with pops of quirky humor. To ensure privacy and true getaway vibes, The Jeff was designed to be entirely self-service (no front desk or need for check-in). Upon booking, you will receive a unique code that gives you access to your room.

The Jeff Hotel Suites feature a luxurious, custom-made king bed - perfect to settle down in after a hard day's rockin', two flat screen TVs, and a seating area with an additional sofa bed (Suite 202 has a double sized-pullout) and large windows overlooking the Downtown Mall. A Marshall amp speaker is provided to kick back and enjoy your favorite tunes. Each room is equipped with a wet bar, mini-fridge, Nespresso. Our spacious en-suite bathrooms boast high ceilings, skylights, and walk-in showers.

Being on a pedestrian mall the hotel has no on-site parking, but we think that having Cville's most popular bars, restaurants and music venues mere steps away is a great trade-off!

Great for a couple

I would have rated this a 5 if it were just the two of us but our college aged son slept on the pull out couch and the mattress was truly terrible (felt every spring.) BTW, it is a single bed, not a double as described. Also to note, the sliding barn door to the bathroom leaves significant gaps through which you can see into the bathroom from certain angles (like when he was laying on the couch bed he could see right into the shower.) Definitely not recommending this room if sharing space. Otherwise it was exactly as pictured and extremely clean. Bathroom was large and nice. The king bed was very comfortable. Fun staying right on the pedestrian mall.

The room was described as a king and a queen, and the queen was simply a single. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable time and thought the accommodations were very nice.

Great Location

Stayed here while taking in a show at Ting. Very convenient. The room is very nice. The shower is immense. Will definitely stay again.

A pleasant stay

The Jeff is a very quaint space in a very central location . It’s in a great general proximity to local restaurants and unique shopping stores. The check in process was easy especially with the emails previously sent. I didn’t know how to access the keypad on the front door, but a quick call to their after hours support and the issue was resolved. The bed was comfortable and the shower was the highlight. Other than being waken up by some loud banging and hammering next door, this was a great stay.

Perfect for a Conference

My coworker and I stayed at The Jeff for a two day conference. I sent a message prior to booking to double check the number of beds and the set up of the room. We knew our employer would not reimburse us for two rooms and the setup at the Jeff was actually more private than a traditional hotel room would have been. We loved it! It is such a great location and a very comfortable room. Each morning we walked to the conference location and avoided the parking nightmare that many attendees experienced. There was a show in the theater below The Jeff the night we checked in and we never heard a thing. The steps up to the room are a bit narrow and steep so take that into consideration if you have any physical difficulties. This is a great place to stay if you are in Charlottesville for work or a weekend away.

Beautifully decorated, modern suite in the heart of the downtown mall. We loved everything about the property with the one exception of parking. If you need to take a car in and out over your stay, you will likely need to pay for parking in a nearby lot. Not a big hassle, but one slight downside in an otherwise great experience. Fantastic bakeries and restaurants close by!

Great stay on downtown mall!

We stayed in the Jeff Hotel for a wedding in Keswick. It was a perfect location on the downtown mall, easy check-in/out process, and very clean! Would definitely stay here again!

Little Gem In the Heart of the Downtown Mall

Such a cool place to stay in the heart of the Downtown Mall area of Charlottesville. Contactless arrival and departure. The room was modern, very clean and the bed was so comfortable! We walked out the front door and shopped and bar hopped! Fun visit. Would definitely stay here again!

My one complaint was you could not adjust the thermostat. It was locked at 75’ which was very warm and I didn’t sleep well. The room was super clean,nice mattress, nice decor/modern, great layout. Also the tv was quite confusing to operate.
