This spectacular Arts and Crafts style house was completed in 2007. A master bedroom and bath accompany 2 other large bedrooms with in-room vanities and 1.5 baths in addition. Amenities include newly installed air conditioning, first floor washer and dryer and front and back porches. Exquisite hardwood floors and trim throughout make this contemporary Arts and Crafts a lovely home. A hidden gem within the serenity of woods, is just a short jaunt away from the historic Chautauqua Institution. Find peace and solitude here. Lake access is enjoyed at a community dock and beach area.

What a great house! We found out its history from the welcome book. Great location in the woods, close to the Chautauqua Institution, so we could walk to the Elm Gate, but also be available to family that lives in the area. Kimberly was available for questions and took care of a problem quickly. Lots of area to sit, read, or nap, porches to gather, and a well-equipped kitchen to prepare meals.

Great location- walking distance to lake and Chautauqua Institute. Well stocked kitchen for preparing meals, great deck/patio areas. Inside was larger than appeared from pictures. Would love to return in future!

The king bed in the upstairs bedroom was very comfortable. We did not use much of the kitchen utensils, etc, but there was just about anything you might need available for use. Towels were soft and large. All spaces were clean and free of pests. For those who appreciate fine woodworking, the paneled walls were stunning and wood trim true to the craftsman style.

We had an excellent stay at this incredibly beautiful house. The pictures do not do it justice. We accidently got locked out of the house and the host was amazingly responsive, helpful, and kind. We will definitely be staying here again!

Happy Second Visit

After a great first visit last summer, we returned this year for Week 7 of the Chautauqua summer institute and had another wonderful week staying in this beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful house. Kim is an excellent host and very easy to work with. What an outstanding place for a week at Chautauqua!

Labor Day lake trip

The house was amazing! Beautiful, comfortable, super clean. We loved it! Perfect location, we went to nearby wineries (loved Johnson Estate winery) and Lake Erie. Highly recommend this house!

Wonderful house!

Great Custom Home near CHQ

We loved this spacious, well appointed, and well equipped custom home. The location is ideal, particularly for pursuing activities at CHQ. The wooded setting is lush and peaceful, with the exception of some road noise when the windows are open.

Perfect stay for a week at Chautauqua

This home is lovely, spacious, well-equipped, and confortable. It was a perfect place for us during our week at Chautauqua. It is just outside the Chautauqua grounds, which we accessed following a lovely path from the house to Chautauqua’s Elm Gate. We made frequent use of the two wonderful porches and enjoyed cooking in the well-supplied and roomy kitchen. Couldn’t have been happier!

Lovely home made us feel at home

The owners have a lovely home and take great care of it. They were excellent hosts. They addressed every detail. Well-furnished, stocked kitchen, great beds, sheets, towels and hand towels were highest quality. So many nice features. Thank you.

Two weeks in Chautauqua

The property is very nice and a pleasant place to stay. The only small issue is the road noise at night. Beautiful, well-kept, spacious, and easy to be comfortable in. Ut exceeded our expectations. Kim was very gracious and went out of her way to meet our needs.

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful time and this home is perfect for attending Chautauqua! Large, beautifully appointed home, loved the porches and kitchen, comfortable beds. Be prepared for highway noise and a lot of stairs - 2 flights to get up to the house and 2 more flights to get to all but 1 bedroom. Host attended to a lot of details to make guests comfortable- thank you!

Beautiful house!

We loved the house. So many amenities and it was quite beautiful. Both the front and the back porches were enormous and we spent a lot of time there. Unfortunately all of the bedrooms face a busy street and we heard traffic a lot. Probably a 10 minute walk to CHQ and the lake. Otherwise perfect.

Great location, nice layout, well equipped

The week was humid and the new AC worked well to get the humidity out of the house. It was well equipped. We cooked in the kitchen or used the gas grill 5 of the nights. All were clean and they had a corkscrew all the kitchen tools needed for a variety of cooking.
