Blue Mountain Cottage near Deep Creek Campground

Welcome to Blue Mountain Cottage, a family owned and treasured retreat for 70+ years. Our recently remodeled cottage (10/2019) has tongue and groove paneling inside, new flooring, and a large covered deck with vaulted ceiling, rocking chairs, ceiling fans and, of course, beautiful views! The parking area and the living areas and deck are all on one level -no steps to navigate. EVs welcome, too - level 2 charger available.

It's a short 6 minute walk to Deep Creek park and campground, part of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The property borders the Park. There are convenient hiking trails, with 3 waterfalls along the way, fishing and tubing (4 tubes available for guests) in the Park. It is less than 2 miles to downtown Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We are centrally located. For rafting and kayaking, the Nantahala Outdoor center is only 23 minutes away. It's only 20 minutes to Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway and only an hour to Asheville.

The cottage has everything you need and more! We were able to check in early. It was a beautiful view with tons of waterfalls nearby. Definitely would come stay again. Cute, small, quiet city!

The house was very clean and comfortable. Lots of usable space and we loved the views from the front porch! We would highly recommend this property and it's very close to Bryson City, Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Cherokee.

This 3 night stay was wonderful. Everything from the location relative to Bryson City, the views of the mountains, comfortable beds and living room chairs, and all necessary kitchen needs were included in this stay. The only thing I can say to those who might bring children of young age is that the bathroom shower might require some creativity if you want to bathe the kiddos. This home delivered what I was looking for, which was an escape to the mountains.

Perfect vacation spot

Fresh Clean and Quite

Location was close enough to Bryson City to easily access as well as all outdoor activities that attracted us to the mountains. Started each day with a fully charged EV to explore and have fun. The accommodations were outstanding. Bob provided a very helpful list of local dining options. Definite do over!

We appreciated the ease of check-in with helpful information provided by the property owner, His list of area restaurants is the best! Parking and entry to the house for loading and unloading was super convenient. We found the cottage extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped for people that like to cook. The location on the NE edge of Bryson City is super close to the park and away from the bustle of town. The front porch edged by the biggest hydrangea we've ever seen was a relaxing place to end the day.

Beautiful views! Beautiful Home!

Everything was immaculate. Views were beautiful. It has everything you could want in a vacation home. Walk in shower was perfect for my 84 year old mom and her friend. GPS brings you straight to it. Kitchen has anything you need to cook anything you want. Host Bob was so easy to work with and stayed in touch from booking to after stay. Highly recommend this home.

I think this is our third stay here. It never disappoints. Owner communication is great and property always clean. Easy to access and a good starting point for heading to other areas in North Carolina.

Blue Mountain Cottage is all-around wonderful! I've stayed in various places in the Bryson City area over the years (& in rental cabins elsewhere, too, but Bryson City is my favorite spot on the planet. Blue Mountain is just the best of the best! Everything was exactly as promised: the view, the closeness to the Deep Creek area of the GSM national park, the convenience to Bryson City, and all the amenities. It is well-appointed, yes, and the lack of stairs made my knees happy, but best of all was that it felt so comfy, serene, and magical. Thanks so much to the hosts for sharing their vacation home: the love they feel for it shows in every detail. P.S.Don't miss the Deep Creek trail! (throwing in a photo of Tom's Branch Falls, to encourage you)

We just spent 4 nights at this beautiful cabin in Bryson City and had one of our best VRBO experiences to date. The cabin was immaculately renovated, extremely clean, and had everything we needed—and more. The beds were very comfortable, the WiFi was excellent, and check-in and check-out were quick and easy.The setting is peaceful and quiet, with stunning views from the front porch—our favorite spot to relax. It’s also just a short drive into the charming town of Bryson City, which we really enjoyed exploring.Bob, the owner, was friendly and very responsive. You can tell he takes great pride in this property, and it truly shows in every detail. We would 100% recommend this place and hope to return again soon.

Great place to stay!

Such a nice quiet place to get away. Close to the Smokey Mountains for hiking. The deck is the perfect place to start and end the day soaking up the views. Comfortable beds and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals.

Home away from home with a view

I loved our stay and enjoyed the view. The house was clean and cozy and just a minute or two from downtown Bryson City. We also enjoyed our hike at the Nat’l Park. Definitely a 5 🌟 place to stay

Blue mountain cottage

Absolutely the the best cottage in Bryson City. We loved everything about it from the sunrises to the sunsets. Really encourage you to check this place out you won't be disappointed.

We live in central Florida, but love to escape the heat. My wife and I finally retired in 2024 so we are using the cottage more frequently, but when we are not, we welcome you to enjoy our slice of paradise!

Location is hard to beat. Our property adjoins the Great Smoky Mountains National park and you literally are a very short walking distance to the Deep Creek recreation area. Easy access - no brutal steep mountain driveways to traverse. And downtown Bryson City is less than 2 miles away.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Mixture of modern and rustic, but very comfortable with nice views from our front deck. Lots of birds, and usually wild turkeys, rabbits, groundhogs, and deer can be seen. Occasional bear sighted.
