Wake each morning to the sun rising over Lake Huron, with calm water lapping at the shore and little more than native birds and the occasional croaking frog breaking the quiet.
Welcome to Daisy Hill, a secluded Lake Huron retreat designed for families and groups who want to spend time together without feeling crowded. Spread across three separate living and sleeping areas, the property offers room for everyone to gather, unwind and make the kind of summer memories that last for years.
The centerpiece of Daisy Hill is 120 feet of beautiful sugar-sand beach along the clear, blue, sand-bottom waters of Thunder Bay. This is not the busy lake experience of constant jet skis, party pontoons and heavy boat traffic. Mornings are often still and peaceful, gentle waves roll in through the day, and the afternoon breeze arrives with remarkable regularity.
The gradual, shallow entry makes the beach especially enjoyable for families and swimmers of all ages, with shallow water extending well beyond the shoreline. Spend the day swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding or simply relaxing in a beach chair with the lake in front of you.
Daisy Hill includes three separate living and sleeping areas, giving larger groups a rare combination of togetherness and privacy:
The Main House features a primary bedroom with a private full bath, two additional bedrooms, a second full bath, a full kitchen, dining room and comfortable living room.
The Cottage includes two bedrooms, each furnished with a full bed and bunk beds, and a living room and kitchenette with a refrigerator. Please note that the cottage kitchen does not include a stove.
The Bunkhouse, located adjacent to the garage, features three bunk beds and is a fun, separate sleeping space for kids, teens or adults.
Outdoors is where Daisy Hill truly shines. Guests can enjoy the large deck and sunroom, outdoor dining and seating areas, an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach, a fire pit near the water, kayaks, paddleboards, beach chairs and inflatables.
For guests bringing their own watercraft, the property also has a nearby boat launch. Please note that a jet ski is not provided.
And while the setting feels wonderfully removed from the noise of everyday life, you are still close to plenty to do. Great local restaurants and four 18-hole golf courses are all within approximately 20 minutes.
One of our favorite times at Daisy Hill comes about an hour before sunset, when the light across the beach becomes extraordinary. It is the perfect time for family photos, quiet walks along the shoreline or simply sitting together and taking in the view.
Our family has made countless memories here over the years. That is why we decided to share Daisy Hill with others: so more families and friends can slow down, spread out, reconnect and create traditions of their own on the shores of Lake Huron.
