We had a great stay here. Though there were few supply not present during check in, host was able to provide after. Cleanliness of the place is okay. There were areas that had dirt but the beds are cleaned. Overall, i would recommend this place

Great Place to Stay for Conference in Time

Everything was great from the location to the communication. The hostess even let us check in early which was very much appreciated.

We rented the space for two nights over a weekend for a wedding. The building was being roofed, meaning there was no parking as there was a dumpster in the parking spot, the deck was unusable, there were ladders, nails and garbage everywhere, and the construction started at 7am on Sunday morning. This created significant issues for my senior parents who could not walk up and down the hill for parking. The host did not disclose this, and was not accommodating. Otherwise, it is a beautiful home, excellently kept and clean.

Hi Stephen, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the home beautiful, exceptionally clean, and well maintained. We would, however, like to clarify the parking situation. We had communicated that additional vehicles were to be parked in the designated visitor parking area, rather than directly at the property. We understand that this may have been less convenient for your senior family members. The roofing work was temporary building maintenance, and we regret the inconvenience it caused during your stay. We always aim to provide our guests with a comfortable experience and appreciate your feedback. Thanks, Karan

Our 4 year old summed it up nicely... "I love this holiday house. It's sort of beautiful". The main bedroom with on-suite was huge with television, sitting area, and king size bed. The kitchen was compact and open to the living and dining area with everything one would need including spices. The basket of snacks and Kuerig coffee pods were really appreciated! Lots of hotel like extras in the bathrooms too. (e.g. toothbrushes, q-tips). Everything was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated and homey. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Only thing a bit mis-leading about the property description was reference to an outdoor play area which we didn't find. Didn't ask about it though as we were too busy taking in all that Victoria has to offer during the day. Three nicely appointed bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms upstairs and a half bath on the main floor made this a perfect spot to come "home" to after fun days at beaches, Beacon Hill park and petting zoo, and downtown with a stop at the Bug Zoo.

HI Frances, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We absolutely loved hearing your 4-year-old’s description — “sort of beautiful” might be our favourite review yet! We’re so happy that you and your family enjoyed the home, especially the spacious primary bedroom, amenities, snacks and coffee, and that you found everything clean and comfortable. Thank you as well for mentioning the outdoor play area. We really appreciate the feedback and will review our listing description to make sure everything is clear and accurate for future guests. It was a pleasure hosting your family, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime you’re visiting Victoria again! Thanks, Karan

Excellent property in a great central location for family or small groups. Bed comfort was inconsistent for adults in non master bedroom. Host was very responsive.

Unfortunately the house wasnt very clean.and cleanliness is super important for us. Almost all the dishes we needed were dirty. Kitchen was greasy. And the drawers in each bathroom we yucky. Doesn't look like they've ever been wiped out, and we found many items left over from the last occupants. Ponies in drawers, medication in night stands. We also tried to use some of the extra blankets but they seemed to not have been washed. We were a bit disappointed that there were workers there the entire stay. So it was loud and our privacy was compromised. When we arrived there was an SUV in the drive way so it made it difficult to park our large SUV in the smaller spot. It remained on the property the entire stay. Outside garbage hadn't been emptied in a while. We struggled with taking out the garbage as requested by the host at the end of our stay. Size wise the house was just what we needed for our family of 5. Our kids loved the game room, what a lovely touch. We didnt have any little ones, but we appreciated that the host had accommodations for a baby if needed. The bedrooms were good sizes.

The ice maker was broken. Knobs on the gas stove were broken. The furniture in the living room was the most uncomfortable furniture I have ever set on. This home was not accurately represented on the site.

Road to it is up a steep hill, has lots of corners and switchbacks. House was a good size. No yard but had a little deck. Parking was a little difficult, especially if you were to have a large truck. Rooms were good size and beds were comfortable.
