- Adult supervision is required on the dock due to the lack of a railing
- Please keep noise to a minimum while using outdoor areas, including the dock and firepit. Loud voices, profanity, and disruptive behavior disturb nearby neighbors and families
- There is a shared driveway upon entering the road leading to the property. It is a narrow road. Please do not park or block the shared driveway. Your vehicle may be subject to being towed if the vehicle is not parked in the designated driveway
- Please observe any burn ban restrictions in place that may occur during your stay

We enjoyed our stay! It is a peaceful spot (especially outside by the water) and we really enjoyed the sunset and bird watching. I was frustrated with the communication (or lack of) from the rental company. They were non-responsive until right before our trip. Another reviewer mentioned the smell of moth balls. It was noticeable for us, and we had to air out the kitchen/living room. That helped, but I wish it was something we didn’t have to deal with.

Lots of potential

Overall the place is quite quaint. The proximity to the water, and screened porch made hanging out at the house one of the best parts of the stay. However, the overwhelming smell of moth balls as we entered the house caused us to almost turn around and leave. As we started the scavenger hunt to locate the source of the odor we found them in several rooms as well as in several cabinets in the kitchen. As a result, we relocated them outside so as not to have to endure them anymore than was already embedded in the rooms and cabinets and everything in them. As the weekend bore on, the smell was still breathtaking every time we left the house closed up for longer than an hour, and any time we cooked anything, we had to thoroughly wash whatever dishes we planned to use. Even after returning home, we had to wash everything we took since the smell had latched on to all the clothes we had taken.On top of that, the beds were quite firm (which is fine if you are into that, but we are all not, so it became quite the joke over the weekend), and the pillows were flat. One bedroom had a large window in the door, which made looking at the river quite nice, however offered no privacy from any onlooking boaters. The home has quite the potential, however the odor and small details will cause us to look elsewhere in the future.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The use of mothballs was intended to deter pests, but they've now been fully removed to ensure future guests won't experience the same strong odor.- The homeowner is reviewing kitchen storage areas to make sure no lingering smell remains and will deep-clean affected spaces.- They’re evaluating updates to the bedding, including pillows, to improve guest comfort.- The bedroom with the glass door is designed to showcase the beautiful river view, but the homeowner is considering adding a curtain or privacy film for guests who prefer more seclusion.We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve for future guests. We hope to host you again so you can enjoy this home at its best!
