Hi Rachel, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry there was some confusion regarding your dog’s stay. The property is pet friendly, with pets permitted outside only, and we have standard pet requirements that apply to all bookings. Unfortunately, your original pet request did not come through to us from the booking channel. As soon as we became aware of this, we contacted you to apologise for the oversight and clarify the arrangements. Thankfully, we were able to resolve the matter within approximately 10 minutes and your dog was able to stay with you. We also offered a complimentary late checkout as a gesture of goodwill, although we didn’t receive a response to the offer. We’re sorry this caused some concern on arrival and appreciate your understanding while we clarified the situation. With regard to the midges, these are a natural part of coastal areas, particularly around waterways and mangroves. We do provide an information sheet at the property, recommending personal insect repellent, particularly in the early morning and around dusk. We hope you were otherwise able to enjoy your time at the property and the beautiful coastal surroundings.
