The Space
Step into a bright, open-plan living area that forms the heart of this classic beach house. Two cozy bedrooms branch off the main space, while a modern heat pump ensures year-round comfort. The sunroom is a delightful bonus space, seamlessly connecting to a private deck through bi-fold doors – an ideal spot for your morning coffee or evening wine while soaking in the rural vistas.

The bathroom facilities include a well-appointed shower room with basin and heating, separate laundry facilities, and a discrete toilet. For extra guests or the kids' adventure, there's a classic Kiwi sleepout (the 3rd bedroom) equipped with bunk beds.

The place was great for our little dog as it was fenced off. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything was very clean. Nice towels and linen.

Had a lovely stay at this sunny little crib. Lovely vintage decor gives it a real relaxing vibe. Awesome that dogs are welcomed and our dog had a fabulous time on the beautiful beach. Great big section overlooking the rural landscape at the rear. Super clean and comfy bed - would love to come again

Wonderful Stay

This property was perfect for our few days. It had everything we needed ...... comfy beds, plenty of kitchen utensils and crockery, fantastic views, warmth and a feeling of home.Having the sleepout was great also.

Micro break in Karitane

House was very clean and tidy.Compact 2 bedroom house with detached third bedroom. Although it was winter, house didn't take long to warm up. Enjoyed views to the hills.

Lovely house

Lovely house pitty the walter in shower wasnt working well but wow what a vew loved the big yard the beds were so comfortable and worm would be nice for my patner to be able to have a spa it was one of the eeasons i pickted it was for him to have a spa after looking after me through my illness i can not go in deap walter but very lovely quite house

A great gem and enjoyed our stay but a few things made it frustrating no dishwashing liquid no dish cloth only one tea towel with stains but only seating for three the fourth had to sit at the table. Not the greatest for us older people. TV didn’t work so had to stream from phone

Very cold, dirty , inadequate shower temperature and hopeless flow volume , bedding completely substandard. Kitchen hadn’t been cleaned with mouldy smelly rubbish from previous occupants still in kitchen rubbish tin, dead flies everywhere and surfaces covered in grime. Although we paid for 2 nights we could only endure 1.

Good spot but he spr was out of order so was a bit disappointed as that was one off the only reasons I wanted to stay there

Thanks for staying with us and for the kind words about the spot. Just to clarify though, the hot tub isn’t included in the listing at all; it’s not mentioned anywhere in the advertisement, so it was never part of what was offered for this stay. Sorry for any confusion there, and glad you otherwise enjoyed the location.

There’s so much I love about Karitane: the peace and quiet is the main attraction for me but also the bird life, beautiful scenery, and lovely walks.

My property enjoys all day sun and is set on a cul-de-sac away from main road (Coast Road) so there’s very little traffic noise. The distant rural views are very special from this property. The easy access from the house to the outdoor livjng area (deck) is great.
