We are long time VRBO renters, and I can honestly say that this property was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The view out of the back of the house was fantastic, the home was immaculate and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was also ideal as it allowed us to explore the Avalon peninsula from a cozy home base. Bonus - the hosts left us a basket of amenities and snacks upon arrival that made check in a breeze.

This home is spectacular and the view is incredible. The host had anticipated everything we would need and more; from coffee cream to a treat basket to every toiletry we could possibly think of. Communication was excellent and the host responded immediately and rectified a small leak we discovered when we entered. We would highly recommend this property and we hope to return to it ourselves in the not too distant future.

This place was unbelievably nice, and far exceeded our expectations. The hosts have provided everything you could possibly need for a carefree and enjoyable stay.

The photos in the VRBO listing do not do this home and property justice, it is BEAUTIFUL! It is professionally decorated, spotless clean, and every convenience you could ask for, all high end appliances including an espresso machine with the needed supplies! I hope to return again next year. I highly recommend this home!

We just returned from an incredible stay at Wayne and Lisa’s house in Bay Roberts. The property was gorgeous and spotless (perfect for a clean freak like me.) The house was exactly as it appears in the listing, and honestly the pictures don’t do it justice. The views were breathtaking…my Aunt spent hours watching birds and boats…and those sunrises over the ocean!! The kitchen had every kind of coffee maker (Keurig, espresso, pour over, regular drip) and aby appliance you could might need. We cooked lobster, cod cheeks, barbecued, and ate every meal at the kitchen table surrounded by windows looking out at the ocean. We didn’t even bother with restaurants because it was so perfect.Groceries were easy. I used the Instacart app and ordered our groceries from the plane…they were delivered in time for our arrival, but I didn’t even need to as the town has all of stores you would need.The house was the perfect base for day trips. We visited Carbonear, Bishop’s Cove, Greenpoint Lighthouse, Harbour Grace, Freshwater, Port de Grave…one morning we got up early, filled the travel mugs (they had them in the kitchen!) with coffee, and drove to Cape Spear for the sunrise. On the way back we explored Quidi Vidi Village, Signal Hill, Jelly Bean Row, and did some shopping in downtown St. John’s.Bottom Line: This spectacular house has all the luxuries and comforts of home in a setting that was pure Newfoundland magic.
