Great home base when you come to play in Long Creek, SC!

Central location near the Chattooga River. This house is perfect if you're headed to to area for river excursions, hiking, waterfalls, zip-lining, mountain biking, fishing, weddings, reunions--or any time you're in town with lots of people! {Located in Oconee County, SC very close to Rabun County, GA.}

Great for families, couples with kids and groups of friends who want to stay together after playing on the river and enjoying outdoor pursuits. Popular Chattooga River put-in & take out spots are just up the road. The house has plenty of parking and room for multiple cars.

Moresun Bunkhouse is convenient for guests attending weddings and special events at Chattooga Belle Farm (1 mile away) or The Ridge at Summit Farms (12 miles away) event venues.

The 1969 brick ranch home was renovated in 2020. The house is kid friendly and has WiFi (not commonly found in the area!) The home is off the road with plenty of room to let kids run around and play. Large field out front and spacious back yard. There's a fire ring with wood to burn.

You'll be within walking distance to the Long Creek Community Park which has a basketball court, gaga ball, walking track and covered picnic shelter. (The Long Creek Community Center building is available to rent if you want a place to host a mid-size gathering.)

Our host was exceptional but several problems. No hot water and garbage disposal was not working causing the sink to back up.

Our party of 11 was comfortable in the home. The house was clean and well stocked. Excellent location to rafting, hiking and waterfalls. Would highly reccomend if looking to stay in the Long Creek area.

Perfect stay at a prime location

Our family came to Long Creek for a family member’s wedding at the Chatooga Belle Farm (one mile away). We anticipated our total family of 12 which would have included 3 grandchildren. However, due to illness we ended up with only 6 of us. The Moresun house would have perfectly accommodated the 12 of us with room to spare & plenty of outdoor space to spread out in too! The house was very clean and well furnished. There was a lot of local area info provided by the owner which was so helpful. We enjoyed the artwork and Moresun picture books of the house and appreciated the thoughtful little touches like fresh cut wildflowers in the rooms. Communication with owner was quick & easy. Although we were only there for a short time our family enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again!

Comfy & Clean Abode in Long Creek

This property is exactly as described on VRBO. Several friends and I rented this place while visiting another friend who has a home about a quarter of a mile down the road. It was very clean and nicely decorated. There is a generously sized kitchen with a large table seating six opening onto a large living room with comfy couches and chairs to allow for gathering to watch something on TV (so ... plenty of space to hang out comfortably). There is another TV watching option in one of the bedrooms at the end of the house set up as a combination lounge/TV room (right across from the bedroom set up as a 'bunkroom' with two bunkbeds -- great setup if you are traveling with children). There are a couple options for outdoor gatherings as well (which we did not make use of as we went down the road to our friend's house located on the water). This home is located close to most of the attractions Long Creek has to offer. The only thing I can think of that would make it 'more perfect' would be to have it right on the water.

Just what we needed!

Our daughter got married at the nearby venue and this rental made our lives so much easier! Everything was excellent! Communication, cleanliness, location ... it was perfect for us!

Great location

We were attending a wedding at Belle Farms and this location was great! With a right turn out of the drive and a right turn up the hill, you are there. Great local food and activities within a few min drive as well!

Great Home in Long Creek

We rented this property for the Groom's family for a wedding at nearby Chattooga Belle Farm. The location and house could not have been more perfect for what we needed. This was an ideal staging area for one side of the wedding party. Everyone in our party had a great time, the hosts were wonderful and very responsive, and we highly recommend the property to anyone staying in the Long Creek area.

A great vacation house

This place was great. The property owners were super. It's not right around the corner from main attractions, but it's a short drive to all the things that you would visit.

Perfect for everyone!

Here for a family and friends getaway. The bunkhouse was perfect. Lots of comfy beds. And space for everyone. The ownets have done a great job of taking care of every need. Well stocked and wonderfully clean and fresh. Super fast Wi-Fi. Lots of waterfalls and mini hikes close by. There is a nice convenience store less than a mile away. Loved loved our stay! We will definately be back. Thank you

Surprisingly Beautiful home and location!

We loved our weekend getaway in Long Creek! The house was perfect for our needs with tons of sleeping space and beautifully decorated. We met with the owners, Chanda and Stephen Morrison. They were very helpful and and knowledgeable about the area and even gave us some "secret" waterfall locations to go check out! What a beautiful, peaceful area to simply relax and get away from it all! We're looking forward to coming back in the Spring and do some rafting with a larger group next time! Thanks again, Morrison Family!

Lovely New Year getaway

The house was perfect for our two families New Year retreat (4 adults + 3 teens). The living room is very cozy, the kitchen is large (we did some serious cooking) and enough rooms for everyone to have some personal space. All bedrooms were super-neat with matching linens and pillows. The Internet connectivity was good - we were able to stream several motives at a time on different devices without any issues. Our host Chanda was very thoughtful - we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay.

Stephen and Chanda Morrison have lived in the area for 23 years. Stephen was a raft guide on the Chattooga River for several seasons. He owns local Long Creek business, Moresun Timber Frames, which is located on property adjacent to Moresun Bunkhouse. Chanda works for Visit Oconee SC promoting recreation and tourism. They live three miles away from Moresun Bunkhouse.

Long Creek, SC might seem like it's "in the middle of no where", but it is a sought after destination. People travel here for weekend trips on the Wild & Scenic Chattooga River and to attend weddings/events at Chattooga Belle Farm.

The beauty of Long Creek is that it is still very rural; but that also means there aren't many places offering weekend rentals. Unless you camp or bring your RV, you'll have to drive 20+ miles to the nearest town to find a place to stay the night.

When this house became available, Stephen & Chanda saw the lodging potential and decided to go for it! They installed central heat and air conditioning, added a second bathroom, opened the kitchen and living areas, painted all the dark wood paneling, tore out carpet, installed new flooring, sewed pillows and curtains, brought in WiFi internet,...and spent months getting it ready for guests.

It's not huge, fussy or fancy. But the Moresun Bunkhouse is updated, comfortable and ready to welcome friends and families!

When you come to Long Creek, you won't find the usual sprawl and commercial businesses common in other places. But you will be surrounded by natural places that are truly amazing and memorable. When you stay at the Moresun Bunkhouse, you'll be minutes from waterfall hikes, whitewater rafting, kayaking, river swimming, state and county parks, mountain biking, hunting, fishing and more!

{NOTE: There is NO UBER or drive service in the area. Door Dash and meal delivery services are not an option either.}
