The minute my brother and I arrived, we felt over all tranquility. The cottage was immaculate, comfortable and very cosy. I am from interstate so we catch up annually. This is by far the nicest holiday cottage we have stayed in. Thank you to our hosts

I think it would have been great to have a welcome book/letter explaining where everything was and local information ( where Woolies was, restaurants etc) Updated cutlery and serving utensils and bowls/platters would have been good too. It was clean, great location, air con, everything we needed.

We stayed at Kenso Cottage 28 for 4 nights and it was wonderful! The cottage was spotlessly clean, very spacious and very well equipped. Location was perfect, and we were able to walk to everything in town. Jason and Wendy were wonderful hosts with great communication and helpful assistance. We loved Mudgee with all the great produce, cafes, pubs, shops, wineries and walks, and will definitely return to stay at Kenso Cottage.

Kenso Cottage is in a great location, handy to everything you need. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating with all the essentials. The cottage's rear dog-safe yard is fantastic for relaxing with a cuppa or a glass of wine and plenty of room for kids to run around and play ball games. Love it.

We had two nights in Kenso Cottage. It is a clean, well appointed residence just steps from the centre of town. Check-in instructions were clear, and it had great under-cover off-street parking. The cottage was spotlessly clean and everything we needed for our trip. The backyard had a gorgeous shady tree that was terrific for a late afternoon drink on the two hot days we visited. Inside was air conditioned - if you needed it. We could walk everywhere and only needed our car to visit the vineyards out of town. Highly recommend.

Thank you for such a detailed and generous review! We’re so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Kenso Cottage and found it clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It’s great to hear the check-in process and undercover parking worked well for you, and that you were able to make the most of the central location.
The shady backyard tree really is a favourite spot, especially on warm afternoons, so we’re glad you got to enjoy it. Knowing you could walk everywhere and easily head out to the vineyards makes us happy too.
Thank you for the recommendation—we’d love to welcome you back to Kenso Cottage anytime.

Lovely cottage
Kenso Cottage is in a great location within walking distance to all the conveniences Mudgee has to offer. We had everything we needed towels, linen, toiletries and a well equipped kitchen. The beds were warm and comfortable with good heating available with the aircon and extra heaters. The backyard is huge however the fence was not secured in places so I couldn’t leave my pug outside on her own.In saying that I would definitely come back we had a lovely stay!

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The condition, and character, of the property was outstanding. The beds were exceptionally comfortable along with other the furnishings in the living areas. The open fireplace was awesome. We'd never used one before and it was good to realise I hadn't lost my old boy scouts skills in getting a cosy fire going! If open fires aren't your thing, there is air-conditioning as well as heaters. The backyard was great for our Cavelier King Charles Spaniel who enjoyed sniffing around and checking things out.The location was perfect for us with Woolworths being just around the corner, a pet friendly hotel a few doors up, and the main shopping strip all within walking distance. The Mudgee area overall is well worth a visit with many wineries and historic towns to explore. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We did have a couple of requests and they were no problem at all to them. The weather was not always the best during our 3 night stay but I reckon if we asked if they could do something about it, they may well have been straight down to one of the local churches to pray to the good Lord for the skies to clear! Such lovely people. Having said that, even with the weather, my wife and I and fur kid definately still had a very enjoyable time in Mudgee.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful and thoughtful review! ❤️ We’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay and that the cottage was comfortable, welcoming and had everything you needed.
We loved hearing about your first open-fire experience — sounds like those old Boy Scout skills came back in no time! 🔥 We’re also so pleased your beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel enjoyed exploring the backyard. 🐾
It’s wonderful that the location worked so well for you too, with Woolworths, the local pub and Mudgee’s shops all within easy walking distance. And we’re glad that even the less-than-perfect weather didn’t stop you, your wife and your fur kid from enjoying your time in Mudgee.
Your kind words about us as hosts really mean a lot. We’re always happy to help wherever we can and love making our guests feel at home.
It was an absolute pleasure having you stay, and we’d love to welcome you all back to Mudgee again — hopefully next time with a little more sunshine! ☀️😊
Warmest wishes,
Wendy & the team
