End of July Weekend, 2 couples

We had a great experience staying at Jim's place, starting and ending with friendly, prompt and precise communication! Getting to the condo was super easy and it did not disappoint! It was very clean and we felt immediately comfortable. We spent quite some time on their beautiful patio during our stay, as the view of the lake and marina is stunning. We enjoyed our morning coffee (provided by Jim) on the patio and enjoyed the calmness of the lake during that time, as well as seeing all the stars in the night sky (Being there, felt like coming home.)Further, when you stay there, you have access to use 2 outdoor pools, one indoor pool and one evening we also played pickle ball. Lighted Tennis courts and a gym are there to use as well. Jim also has Kayaks available for rent. We had a fun and good dinner/evening at Bruno's Restaurant, only 1.1 miles from the condo. It came highly recommended by Jim, and I am glad we followed his advice. Btw: Bed and bath linens, beach towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels and more were provided... However, there are also some stores close by, in case you need additional items. We have already told friends and family and are planning on returning this fall!

Fourth of July Staycation

Fabulous experience. Owners check in to make sure everything is going well and personalize the experience. The condo is very clean and a beautiful view of Smith Mountain Lake. Great place to visit or have a staycation to just get away for the weekend.

Mariners Landing is a great place to play in the pool or lake. It also has a couple nice restaurants & a market.We enjoyed the Friday evening movie screen at the pool.

A wonderful getaway

The hosts were amazing! The condo was exactly as we expected, beautiful and very clean. We can’t wait to make a visit in the summer.

Great condo, location, and host

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend. Everything about the condo was very nice. The owner did a great job making the stay comfortable and convenient for us. The cabinet was stocked with coffee, creamer, etc. There was plenty of soap for the dishwasher and laundry — all the little things that let us get straight to relaxing and enjoying the incredible lake. We would definitely stay there again. I will also add that I have stayed at many short term rentals and have enjoyed many wonderful hosts. But Jim was probably the most responsive and communicative we have ever had. He really went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay.

Wonderful 2-Bedroom Unit in Mariners Landing!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful 2-bedroom unit! The space felt even bigger than the photos suggested, and being situated in the corner of the building made it incredibly quiet and peaceful. The decor had a charming Lakehouse theme, which instantly made us feel like we were on vacation. The unit was impeccably clean and well-appointed, with obvious care taken by the owners to make it welcoming and comfortable. We appreciated the thoughtful touches and amenities provided, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The owners included towels, coffee, cooking tools which we used. We stayed here with my husband and our toddler, and it was perfect for us. The unit could easily accommodate another family, thanks to the spacious layout. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway! If you aren't familiar with Mariners Landing- there are a lot of amenities that come with renting this unit as a result- including a pool just outside the unit, a 1-minute walk to the lake, a beachfront area of the lake (also walkable), and a dock for boats. Then, either a short 10 min walk or 2 minute drive is a second pool with a kids waterslide, pickleball courts, a kids playground, a small cafe, and a nice gym for working out (all included in your stay). Mariners Landing is a resort that is staying up to date- things are constantly being improved here year after year (rather than other resort communities which sometimes show their age).

Amazing Host - Spectacular & Clean - Beautiful Location

My family and I cannot stop raving about this property & the owner Jim. Jim and his wife are top notch, very respectful, very responsive and super accomodating. The property itself is 100% accurately described and the pictures do not do it justice. We brought our boat, loaded it up and enjoyed every bit of the lake and property. Jim offered, at every step of the trip, a lending hand and we were fortunate enough to meet him briefly. For the kiddos, they have so many activities to do on the property, pool, fishing, Kayaking, movie nights, fireplace, hot tub and an arcade. We will definitely be staying again and mark this as a go to for the future.

Fun 4th of July Weekend

We stayed here as a family of 4. The unit is beautiful and clean. Just the right size for four of us and a few college friends who visited our girls one day. It was a big plus to be on the lower level in a corner unit. Sitting on the back porch overlooking the lake with the full height windows slid wide open was our favorite place for breakfast and to sit in the evening. The A/C kept us cool inside on some really hot days. We hung out on the beach one day, and the water was warm and clean. Other days were spent on the lake on a paddle board, in kayaks, and with friends on their boat. The owner (Jim) was excellent to communicate with, and gave us clear instructions on how to access the building and unit, and other details on the unit. Having bed linens and bath towels provided was a nice bonus. This VRBO on Smith Mountain Lake was just the vacation we were looking for!

Relaxing

This was a fantastic property. The amenities were great to have along with the gorgeous lake and its views. Our favorite pool to end our day at was the one closest to the condo because you are still enjoying the lake view while you are there. James was very kind, texting to ask how we were and if there was anything we needed he was available to call or text. The condo was beautifully done and had everything you needed to cook pots, pans, silverware, dishes and even spices. He also has a fresh container of coffee with filters for the pot, creamer, and sugar. The welcome basket he left was very thoughtful as well. Not having to bring linens and towels made packing so much easier also. We highly recommended trying this place if you want a relaxing getaway in a very nice condo with a wonderful host. We all had a blast and plan on returning very soon!

Very nice stay

My sister and I had a great weekend. Our stay was great the condo is very clean and very organized. It had everything we needed inside we will definitely be back.
