My family and i enjoyed this place. As soon as we walked in the ac felt so good. The living room is spacious. The beds were comfortable. Walking distance to the beach.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry these concerns impacted your stay. When the A/C wasn't cooling as expected, it was checked first thing the following morning. The property had been professionally treated for pests two weeks before your stay, and although our cleaning team had not encountered roaches, we had the home treated again with additional exterior prevention. We also found a stain on the top bunk bedding after checkout and, while we couldn't confirm its cause, replaced all sheets with new ones. We take these concerns seriously and have taken steps to address each one for future guests.

This is a nice well kept property in a great location close to the beach. Comfy beds, cold AC and a decent kitchen and living room.

Beautiful Views

The house was amazing, it had everything you could ever need. The description for the house does not begin to tell you how beautiful the views are from the deck. Very short walk to the beach. The owners are precious. We have stayed in a couple of different homes in this neighborhood and we just love it. This house will be a house we will for sure stay at again.

We have visited Surfside/Galveston area several times. The location of this home is by far our favorite! It is in a lovely, quiet community. Beach access was literally steps away. No late night parties or loud music as we have experienced in other locations. Great location!The home was adequate for what we needed for us and our two teenagers. Listing says it can sleep 10, but I believe that includes two people on a small futon in the loft area. My 13 year old was excited to sleep in the loft, but in his words (I just had knee replacement and could not climb the ladder), the loft was not clean, with 'crumbs' from the ceiling all around. He still hoped to read and hang out up there, but it was very warm and the only fan provided did not work. We arrived around 9:00 pm and when we went to go to bed, we found clumps of hair in the bedding of two of the beds, as well as a sticker/burr presumably from the yard. There were multiple burrs found in the carpet by our bare feet (we never wore shoes inside, so the stickers were already in the rugs). We also found hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor at check in. We notified the host and were told that there had been a power outage before we arrived and the cleaners had had to work in the dark. Both teens were bit up by fire ants in the outdoor shower. As we stripped the beds per instruction, we found disgusting stains on several of the pillows that we had used, including one very large one that was obviously blood.

The loft wasn't available

1.- They gave us the option to check in starting at 10am, and when we arrived, the place was super dirty, including bathrooms, and the beds weren't made. We called the guy and he solved it quickly. 2.- The main reason we chose this property was for its LOFT, since we needed 4 separate spaces when it was time to sleep, which wasn’t possible :( because our son had to sleep uncomfortably on the tiny tiny sofa in the living room. The lady who cleans the place told us that she wouldn’t go up to make the bed that was up there because the ladder isn’t fixed to the wall, which of course is extremely dangerous for anybody when going up or down. According to the owner, it was nothing to worry about, so we decided not to use it for safety reasons and to prevent an accident, especially in the middle of the night if he wanted to go to the bathroom with the lights off, and exposing our son was NEVER an option. We paid to be all comfortable and each with privacy, and it wasn't met.Clearly for the owner, his business is more important than the customer's safety and satisfaction.3.- The beds, mattresses, and kitchen utensils in bad condition4.- It has access to the beach only walking, so we had to move to another spot to get in with our vehicles, since we brought tents, tables, etc.5.- Who designs a house putting the bathroom entrance right in the kitchen?

Most of things are good except the poor communication with the property owner

Most things are ok, except the POOR communication with the property owner.1. Very slow or NO response to messages/calls2. For a four-night stay, there is no reason to leave only two trash bags, two pods for dishwasher and washing machine.

This was our second time staying in this home and we had an amazing time. The house has everything you need. We cook at the home and the kitchen has it all. The beds are comfortable, the views are amazing, short walk to the beach and a quiet neighborhood.

Perfect for what I was looking for. Clean and the temperature of the house was cool when I arrived. The beach was indeed a short walk, just a few houses to the end of the street. I would recommend this beach house.
