Escape to this beautiful forest cabin nestled on 40 private acres, surrounded by nature and abundant wildlife—including deer, wild turkeys, and songbirds. Located just 15 minutes from the sandy shores of Turkey Point and Port Dover, this secluded getaway offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and convenience.

The main floor features a spacious king-size bed, while the loft boasts a cozy queen bed with a stunning view overlooking the fire pit area. There’s also a pull-out couch to accommodate extra guests, making it ideal for families or small groups.

Enjoy peaceful mornings with coffee on the porch, explore the surrounding forest trails, or unwind by the fire under the stars. Whether you’re looking for a romantic retreat, a nature-filled escape, or a base for beach days—this cabin has it all. There is a full shared washroom with warm shower and running water/hydro.

Treat yourself to a refreshing rinse in our beautiful outdoor nature shower, surrounded by pine trees and peaceful scenery. It uses fresh, cool groundwater — cold water only — for an invigorating experience close to nature.

Please remember to bring your environmentally friendly soap.
And just a reminder: a full shared bathroom with warm water is also available. Bring your food, your sense of adventure, and everything else you’d need for a quiet retreat in the woods.

We had an amazing time at this cabin! It was super comfortable, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. The location in the middle of the forest is excellent and offers total privacy.The host was extremely attentive, helpful, and communication was seamless from start to finish. The host was great. Friendly and very easy to engage with. The property was peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean and cozy. They offer things like a bbq and dishes and fire wood included in the rental. The whole experience was great for me and my sisters and we plan on returning next year.

A lovely stay. Was clean and private and the host saw to all our needs. Tips for the next guests, no need to bring additional dishes. There are cards and games on site. Extra chairs, pots and pans for the bbq, a few rolls of toilet paper. The lot itself is very sandy so bring shoes you dont mind getting sandy. Overall we were pleased with our stay!

The cabin had everything we needed - running water, hydro, wifi, fridge, grill, firewood, picnic bench, muskoka chairs, bathroom. The bed downstairs was a bit too soft for me but we could sleep in the bed upstairs. The stairs might be a little steep for some guests. Very private. It felt like we were the only ones around. Serdar was great - we had an issue with the bathroom which he managed to fix while we were out. Even recommended a few places when we saw him. No cellular signal so wifi was very handy. Make sure to download offline maps to get around the area and the provincial parks. Visited some nice wineries, breweries and cideries in the area. Lovely little cabin..we'll definitely come back.

The perfect tiny cabin, glamping style get away. Very simple and just like advertised. The communal bathroom and the cabin were very clean. The host was wonderful to deal with and had great communication. My only critiques is that the outdoor area could use a little clean up and organizing. The main mattress was a tad sunk in.

Description of property could use some tweaking. We did not expect to have to heat cabin with a tiny (size of a double toaster) and a heat lamp. It was difficult to keep cabin warm so would recommend better heating system. Cabin was clean but the outside was messy with items strewn around the property. Porta potty was very clean and hot shower was nice.

The cabin is equipped with a wood stove, space heater, and a diesel heater, which are typically more than sufficient to keep the space warm. Many of our guests actually enjoy the experience of using the wood stove, collecting firewood, and relaxing by the fire pit under the stars as part of the forest glamping atmosphere we aim to provide. Regarding the exterior, there was a recent windstorm that caused fallen branches and debris around the property. We were in the process of cleaning this up during your stay, and we appreciate your understanding as we continue maintaining the natural surroundings. My close friends and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin over Thanksgiving weekend. There were enough beds for our group and the facilities ensured we enjoyed home comforts while also living up to promises of quiet and solitude in nature. We had long chats by the fire by night and hiked in the surrounding Backus conservation area by day. We will definitely be back in the future!

The location of the cabin was a bit tricky to find, but once I found it, the experience was great. It's very private and close to nature, the cabin and surroundings were as clean as a nature retreat can get. Firewood for both the wooden stove inside and the fireplace outside was provided, which was amazing for someone who's not used to being in nature. As it was still cold, even freezing, when I was there, there were barely any bugs around!I'd have loved the convenience of a washroom in the cabin, but the shared one was close and we'll maintained. The warm water was nice after a cold night!The host was easy to communicate with and was very helpful with everything that came up during my stay.The only thing that was a bit scary was coming down from the loft-like upstairs bedroom, coordinating how to get down from there was complicated as the stairs are very steep.Thanks for everything, and if I want to book a cabin again, I'll definitely book this one!

This place is a gem! We needed a peaceful escape from the city and we chose this retreat due to its proximity to provincial parks. The cabin was immaculately clean, cozy and welcoming. It's even nicer in person. The king sized bed is very comfortable. We really appreciated how well stocked the property is, from extra blankets, to a spare flashlight, dishes, firewood, pans, extra chairs, and even water sandals for the shower. There is a portapoty conveniently located right outside the cabin, an outdoor cold shower, and a full 3 piece washroom with a warm shower just steps away. This cabin is very private and surrounded by trees. Our stay was in the spring and it got quite cold at night. There is a small wood furnace but it doesn't do much to heat up the cabin, so I would recommend bringing an extra duvet if you're visiting in the colder months. The host was very responsive and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay. This cabin is good value for the money and we're looking forward to visiting again.

We stayed at this cabin for one night to celebrate our 18-year anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! It’s a beautiful, private, and secluded spot that gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for. With no cell service, we were able to completely disconnect from our phones and really reconnect with each other, such a blessing.The king-sized bed on the main floor was super comfy, and at night the view of the stars was breathtaking. The location is also fantastic, just a quick 15-minute drive to the beach, and the nearby Eco Adventure Park was exactly what we needed to add a little fun and activity to our getaway.The owner was wonderful to communicate with and made everything easy from start to finish. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy, peaceful escape

On arrival, there was an old pair of sandals outside the front door of the cabin, two dirty towels/rags hanging on the line, and the fire pit area was untidy. It gave us the impression that someone may be inside the cabin. There were no top sheets on the beds and the fitted sheets weren't clean (sand felt all along one and hair found on the other). The floor needed to be swept. The faucet in the cabin was not hooked up correctly and when the water temperature was changed, water poured on the ground. There is a large gap after the last step to go up to the loft, we did not feel comfortable with our younger kids sleeping up top, so we did. On a more positive note, the host was very polite and incredibly responsive. He sent a cleaner over promptly to sweep and put clean sheets on the bed including a top sheet as requested. The property has lots of potential but needs more attention to detail overall.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry that your arrival did not feel as welcoming as it should have. Since the cabin is in the forest, we provide outdoor sandals for guests who wish to use the outdoor shower, and towels on the line are sometimes left to dry — but I understand how this could have been misinterpreted and will make sure it’s handled differently going forward. As for the fire pit, we often prepare wood for guests, and because there is so much wood in the area, we try to keep it stocked and ready — though I see how it may have appeared untidy on arrival, and I’ll ensure it’s neater moving forward. We have also followed up with our cleaner and reviewed our sanitation program with proper documentation to make sure bedding, floors, and all details meet the highest standards for every stay. The faucet and loft steps are being addressed as well to improve safety and comfort for families. I’m glad we could resolve some of your concerns quickly during your stay, and I truly appreciate your recognition of my responsiveness. Overall our trip was just ok and was disappointing I a few different areas. There were so some things the owner couple definitely improve on like making sure there was firewood, not just leftover scraps he didn’t use around the buildings, we had to email him and someone brought us wood. Plugging in the fridge knowing you had the bunkie rented( we drove 3 hours to a very small warm fridge), having the port-o-john beside us that looked like it was never cleaned out(not usable) , having a supply of toilet paper in the main washroom and shower area. The mattress should definitely be updated to something you don’t sink into would also be a bonus. Signage was also an issue to let you know where to go in the bush. They were to small and in bushes to see properly. I have camped my whole life and must say yes I was disappointed. Add indicated 15 minutes from town but more like 30. Just a bit more inconvenient when going to a festival.

The cabin was supplied with two full rolls of toilet paper, and additional supplies can always be requested if needed. Regarding firewood, we communicated with you about bringing additional wood, and wood was subsequently brought to the cabin when requested. We also want to clarify the bathroom situation. The property has a full washroom facility with a shower, toilet, and running hot water available to guests. The portable washroom is an additional facility and is not intended to replace the main washroom. It is regularly serviced and cleaned, but guests are certainly welcome to use the full indoor washroom instead. The mattress is a California King, and we have received positive feedback from many guests regarding its comfort. We understand that mattress preferences are personal, and what is comfortable for one person may not be comfortable for another. Our property is intentionally secluded and surrounded by nature, which is a major part of the experience. We understand that this type of setting may not be for everyone. We always welcome constructive feedback and are happy to address legitimate concerns when they are brought to our attention during a stay. However, we feel it is important to clarify these points because several statements in this review do not accurately reflect what was provided. Our many other reviews better reflect the experience and amenities we strive to provide to our guests.

The property was amazing and the bed was very comfy. We really enjoyed the seclusion with the comfort of the cabin.We did struggle to find the cabin on the property as we did not realize there would be multiple cabins and the signs are small and fading so easy to miss. We also could not find much fire wood available. There were a few logs but not enough to last the night so we bought more.

We reached out several times before your arrival with directions and were happy to help, but unfortunately we didn’t receive a response. Our cabins are intentionally private and spread throughout the forest to provide guests with a quiet, secluded experience, and many guests enjoy the sense of exploration that comes with discovering their cabin. Regarding the firewood, we appreciate your feedback. We provide a starter supply for guests to enjoy a fire upon arrival, and additional firewood is available if more is needed during the stay.
