Pine Island Retreat is a family-focused 4 season lake home in Holcombe, WI. We have multi generational families that return year after year.

NEW IN 2025 - We are adding a TV/bar/lounge room area which will be closed off from the house. Great for entertaining after the kiddos go to bed.

This home has been fully updated. It has a beautiful wrap around screened in porch and gorgeous lake views from every room. Guests enjoy waking up to the sunrise and beautiful views right from their bed. The house is situation on 1 full acre with plenty of room to play yard games or build a fire.

The swimming is great with the sandy bottom and no weeds. We also have a floating platform with slide which the kids & adults love!

Everything is included in the house right down to the smore fixings. You just bring yourselves. We have a water mat, kayaks, bean bag toss, crochet, noodles, trucks for the kiddos, etc. Looking for something special? Just ask!

You are literally steps to the water, ATV/UTV trails or snowmobile trails. Biking is close by at Brunet Island State Park. This location is perfect for a 4 season getaway.

Our dock can fit 2 boats. The boat launch is just down the road.

Wonderful Vacation

The property fit our needs perfectly for an extended family vacation. Plenty of room and an ample amount of amenities both inside and out. We would definitely return for another vacation!

Wedding Hub

Booked for multiple family members including parents of bride location was w/in 20 min of venue location plenty of space for all & bonus there was an additional fridge available in garage area which came in handy to store leftover wedding food!

Ir was perfect for our family

The location on lake was so nice. Size and layout of house worked perfect for us, kids and grandkids. Having second shower was definite bonus. Kitchen had everything we could need to cook. Owner kept me well informed, as needed. Would stay here again if we were in area.

Beautiful Property!

The house was perfect for our large family. Lots of room indoors and outdoors. The beds were comfortable, and the hosts provided many extras in the home. The location was great for the littles to play all day in the water with the water slide and the kayaks were a huge hit for all. Great communication with the host. Loved our experience all around!!

Fun Family Weekend!

We spent the weekend here with extended family and had a great time! We enjoyed ice fishing, skating and family time together inside. This place is quite spacious, giving us plenty room for meals and games. This house had everything we needed and more! We would definitely recommend it.

Nice lake views!

Beautiful and comfortable great room and sunroom, and the porch was excellent. The kitchen had some cleanliness issues but overall it was nice and functional. Would have been nice to have more than one shower for a place that sleeps 14 but the half baths were very nice!

Lots to love

There were many things to love about this place! All the water and lawn toys available and floating dock and flat large grassy area down to sandy river lake. The screened in porch and patio area with grill were also appreciated. Three bathrooms were great to have and everything one would need in the kitchen was there. The one complaint was about the noisy, uncomfortable upstairs beds. But communication with host and ease of finding home and getting in were all very good.

Making Memories

This cabin in amazing! We have a family of 13, 6 adults and 7 kids, 8 years and under. Was perfect for our needs. Spacious, kitchen so well stocked, and clean. Decor is perfect. So many outdoor things to do. The older kids loved the Kayak’s, and Lilly pad. We rented a pontoon and parked it at a great sandy beach. Would highly recommend!

Son's Wedding

This property was the PERFECT property for us during the days preceeding our son's wedding, for the day of, and along with the day after. I was able to prepare food for the rehersal dinner which included 60 people. All 14 people staying here were all able to get ready the day of the wedding. And the day after we were able to make a farewell breakfast for some of our out of state guests. Karen and Steve were simply the best to work with. The home and location were perfect for us.

Great amenities and great property.

We have stayed at several Vrbo properties over the last several years, and this was our best experience to date. The property was clean, and provided enough space for our family. The pantry was stocked with common items that could easily be forgotten, which was a nice touch. We appreciated the number of kayaks, paddleboards, water mat, and yard games that were provided. It made for great entertainment for both kids young and old. While there were three bathrooms, only one of the bathrooms had a shower, which was my only dislike. However, we made it work. Would recommend this property to others.

Week in Holcombe

Beautiful location, great outdoor amenities, easy to rent a pontoon and dock. The screened in patio was a fan favorite. Our group of 5-7 adults, 2 teens, and some infants were able to fit comfortably. The door to the room with 3 beds does not close, and the upstairs bathroom door is a bifold closet door with a hook latch. This did not allow for privacy for all. Upstairs also only has one air vent which is located in the bathroom. The room with 2 beds has no air conditioning at all, though fans are provided and the room can be cooled if you’re comfortable sleeping with the window open. First floor has a nice open concept and the tv was great for rainy days. Plenty of kitchen supplies, no need to bring your own plates/utensils. Plenty of beach towels and bathroom towels available for use.

Pine island retreat

Great place to stay. Beautiful home that is very clean and well stocked with supplies. Gorgeous views of the sunrise and sunset over the lake. Definitely recommend!

Great place to rent

You can tell that Karen has put a lot of thought into what makes a great rental. The place was well stocked with everything we could need including yard games. There was plenty of space for our group of 11 (6 adults and 5 kids).

Cabin review

It was a beautiful cabin to rent and she was very accommodating . Supplies were stocked very well ! The property was very nice for the grandkids , we could play bean bags and other lawn games and even a few games of tag ! The dock space was nice and the kids could swim right by the cabin . Definitely would rent it again !!

When I saw this property come up for sale I knew immediately that I had found our forever lake home. I love the large yard and level entry into the lake. And I absolutely love the wrap around porch.
