Harbour-View Retreat One Bedroom, Perfectly Placed
A bright, well-appointed one-bedroom apartment on iconic Princes Wharf — harbour views and a private balcony, queen bed, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, in-unit laundry, dedicated workspace, and key safe access. The Viaduct Harbour, Auckland Ferry Terminal, Britomart, and the Maritime Museum are all steps away. Perfectly scored for location by guests. A genuine waterfront address in the heart of Auckland — park once and explore everything on foot.
Location has been scored a perfect five by every guest who has stayed here — and from a Princes Wharf address, that is not a surprise. The harbour is directly outside. The Ferry Terminal is steps away for Waiheke Island and Devonport. Britomart`s award-winning dining and shopping precinct is a five-minute walk. The Viaduct Harbour`s restaurant and bar strip is right around the corner. Guests come for the location and the view, and the apartment delivers both.
The apartment itself is a well-resolved, light-filled one-bedroom with a proper queen bed and quality linen, a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower, and an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area that opens directly onto the private harbour-view balcony. The balcony is the apartment`s heart — morning coffee above the waterfront, watching the ferries set out for the islands, is the kind of simple Auckland pleasure that is genuinely difficult to replicate from an inland address. Air conditioning keeps the interior comfortable year-round.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering: oven, stovetop, microwave, fridge/freezer, and all the cooking essentials. A dedicated workspace with high-speed WiFi and a Smart TV make this equally practical for business travellers. In-unit washer and dryer add self-sufficiency for longer stays. Key safe access means arrival at any hour is straightforward.
Princes Wharf is one of Auckland`s most storied addresses. Built in 1929 and named after Admiral Earl Jellicoe, the wharf was for decades the city`s primary point of arrival and departure — the place where ships from around the world docked, and where generations of New Zealanders arrived, departed, and said their goodbyes. During the Second World War the wharf served as headquarters for United States forces in the Pacific. The shed buildings that line the wharf today are survivors of that era — long, beautiful warehouse structures that were sympathetically converted into apartments, restaurants, and bars by Leuschke Group Architects in 1998, one of Auckland`s most celebrated waterfront regeneration projects.
Today Princes Wharf is home to Somm wine bar and restaurant, Wahlburgers, and a collection of waterfront dining and drinking venues that make the wharf one of Auckland`s most enjoyable evening destinations. The New Zealand Maritime Museum is immediately at the base of the wharf. Free public viewing decks at the end of Shed 23 offer panoramic harbour views available to all.
The entire apartment is yours — bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, dedicated workspace, and private balcony with harbour views

Princes Wharf connects directly to the Viaduct Harbour precinct — one of Auckland`s most celebrated waterfront dining and entertainment areas. Baduzzi, Hello Beasty, Giraffe, and the full sweep of Viaduct waterfront restaurants and bars are a very short walk along the boardwalk. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is immediately adjacent for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and Hauraki Gulf services.
Commercial Bay`s flagship retail and dining complex is a short walk east along Quay Street, as is Britomart`s cobblestoned laneways. Wynyard Quarter`s North Wharf dining precinct and Silo Park are an easy westward stroll. Spark Arena is a short walk for events. The CBD`s Queen Street, Sky Tower, Aotea Square, and the Auckland Art Gallery are all within comfortable walking distance.

Princes Wharf occasionally hosts large cruise ships at the adjacent berth. When a vessel is in port, the wharf becomes busier than usual during the day. Arrivals and departures are publicly listed on the Port of Auckland schedule and we are happy to advise on upcoming visits if this is something you would like to plan around.
We kindly ask all guests to help us maintain the peaceful, high-standard environment of this home by following a few simple rules:
A valid photo ID, email address, and phone number are required prior to check-in.
Please respect our no-party policy and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Smoking, vaping, or drug use is not permitted inside the suite or anywhere in the apartment, building, complex or balcony.
In the rare case of a noise complaint or evidence of smoking, an additional fee of up to NZD $500 may apply.
Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
These measures ensure that every guest enjoys a serene, premium experience — thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
