Peaceful family cabin in the woods with miles of trails and stocked lakes nearby

Cozy chalet cabin featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a loft, spacious deck and yard with a fire pit all nestled on a ¾ acre lot surrounded by tall pine trees.
Enjoy the charm this family cabin has to offer from the classic chalet frame design to the modern home feel throughout, we are sure you will appreciate every square inch. It has brand new carpet, brand new paint and deck!

Our cabin will comfortably accommodate 8 people. The master bedroom is located upstairs and has a king size bed and television. The two additional bedrooms are located on the main floor and both have queen beds. There is a double sized futon in the loft, and we also have a queen-sized air mattress that can be set up in the living room and a sofa sleeper. All beds include new quality pillows and linens. We have two full bathrooms; one is located on the main floor and one upstairs. Both are equipped with handicap bars to allow easy access in and out of the tub/shower and include plush towels.

We have an abundant number of amenities for you as well, including, Wi-Fi, DVD player, fireplace, TV in master, second bedroom and living room, washer/dryer, over 150 DVD's, board games, ceiling fans in all rooms, fully stocked kitchen including waffle iron, coffee maker, blender, instapot, rice cooker and crock pot, gas BBQ grill and much more!

Our cabin is in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and is minutes from hiking, ATV and SXS trails, several fully stocked lakes, restaurants and shopping, but still set-back enough to give you that authentic cabin in the woods feel. Relax on our over sized deck after a long day of adventures or while enjoying your morning coffee. We also have plenty of parking for your toys! Heber-Overgaard is perfect for every season and offers activities for all four seasons.

We do require a minimum of two nights and we apologize in advance that we do not accept pets.

We look forward to hosting you and sharing our home to help you and your family create amazing memories to last a lifetime.

Window air conditioners

When we arrived at the cabin it was very warm inside. It stated online that it had air conditioning, but we could not find where to turn it on. I called the Property Manager and she told me the cabin had 2 window units, one in the master bedroom upstairs another downstairs in the living room. We could not find them, they were stolen by the previous renters. She issued a $60 refund. It was warm the whole weekend.

Girls trip

There were 4 of us total & we went to get out of heat. The mornings & eves were great, but was xtra warm during day because temps were so high & thrre were only 2 portable window units that couldn't cool place down well enough. I did get a little refund because was so hot & I do appreciate that. There was plenty of space 4 the 4 of us & we had a nice time

A great family get away

Exceeded expectations. Jennifer was a great host who delivered on everything and thought of everything for a relaxing stay in the woods. Fit our family of five with room to spare. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and of high quality. Will definitely consider a return trip - and will bring kayaks to enjoy nearby Black Canyon Lake even more.

Heber Summer Fun

The home was wonderful, everything we expected. The house was full of extras like games, snacks and videos. My three grandchildren loved the games, outside swing and horseshoes. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive to our questions. Check in and check out instructions were excellent. We would definitely come again.

Beautiful cabin in a quiet forest neighborhood. A great location for rim hiking and visiting the rim lakes. Close enough, and well worth, a day trip to Petrified Forest National Park! This cabin had everything we needed, plus much more, to keep us entertained after hikes! We felt very welcomed and recommended this cabin for your tim stay!

Perfect getaway for my sister’s wedding

Great house with plenty of room. Had everything we needed. Everyone slept good. My wife and I in master bedroom. Daughter/husband and my father in the two other bedrooms. My son/girlfriend in loft futon and my youngest son on the couch. House was well stocked and no issues at all. Jennifer communicated well and we would definitely come back again. My wife wants to come for Christmas🤔

Our 2nd stay was just as great as the 1st! We had the added bonus of a beautiful snowfall this time. Every detail is thought of at this cabin.

Like walking into our own home.

We had a great time. The cabin was awesome. Perfect for 3 couples. Our 4 year old grandson had a blast playing in the loft. As far as providing supplies we were amazed ... we've walked into some VRBOs that have virtually nothing for supplies. This cabin was like walking into our own home ... the freezer had stuff, the fridge had stuff, cabinets had stuff. I think we used the eggs, but in balance, I believe we probably left cheeses and other things. I (almost always) demand that we get a VRBO with a dishwasher, this one doesn't. But paper plates were provided. Didn't take much to clean-up the cookware, which was about all that was left. There are little kid toys, there are games, there are puzzles (with ALL of the pieces), there are books. There was a fire pit outside ... just a bit too cold for us desert dwellers ... so we had a fire (every night) in the fireplace inside. Somehow Jen/Bob were able to order up a light snow flurry while we were there ... because I wanted snow. Amazing job ... Well done! For sledding purposes (since there wasn't any snow in Heber) Jen directed us back to the area of the ponds in Forest Lakes ... and that worked out great! We pulled off the side of the gravel road next to a (winter) closed road and created our own sledding area on that closed (down hill) road. Some of the locals joined us. We all had a blast. The cabin was like we walked into our own fully stocked home. Very thankful for the rental, we hope to be back again.

What awesome place to stay

We couldn’t have asked to stay at a nicer cabin. It was well stock and beautifully decorated. The Christmas tree and decorations where just like being at home.

Great place

This cabin is perfect! Great if you do or don’t have kids. Owners are very friendly. The cabin is stocked with literally anything you could possibly need for a trip away from home!

We loved our stay! Beautiful cabin with absolutely everything you would need to have a great time. My children loved the swing, corn hole and horseshoes. So many games and things to do. We loved sitting on the wrap around deck and enjoying the weather. Perfect stay from start to finish!

Heber-Overgaard cabin

Cabin is smaller than we expected but well laid out for a family. Kitchen (well equipped including pantry items) and bathrooms are also small but functional. Three Bedrooms have very comfortable beds sleeping 6 privately. Slow Wifi (under 10mps) makes remote working impossible, also poor TV reception over internet. Host is very helpful and accommodating.

Snowy get away

Beautiful home and surrounding is amazing. Snowed while we were there, enjoyed that alot. Very cozy home. Enjoyed playing games the owner provided. Enjoyed the fireplace. Recommend the cabin to all family and friends. We plan on coming back.

Beautiful Cabin

Beautiful property and well stocked cabin! From the pantry to board games and toys for the kiddos. Great outdoor space with lots of activities that kept us busy. Jennifer was always in contact when I had questions. My only regret is that I didn't book a longer stay.. oh well guess we're coming back for another stay!

Great getaway!

We stayed here for our family Thanksgiving celebration and it totally delivered, very well stocked kitchen. Walking in the morning was wonderful and we had some snow which made the fire very nice. I would recommend this one. Might have to make a second trip. Jennifer was great to work with.

Growing up in Arizona and spending lots of summers up north to get out of the heat of the Valley, it was always our dream to one day be able to own a cabin up North. Our dream became a reality and we hope by sharing our home with others that they will create memories that will last a lifetime.

We love Heber-Overgaard because it's has what you need and is still small enough to maintain that local small town feel. It's quiet and close enough to lakes and trails. It's the perfect place to be able to experience all four seasons.

Overgaard is unique and perfect for all four seasons. Summertime it's a wonderful escape to the valley heat and the summer storms are awesome. Winter it's nice to have some snow and not have to be stuck in it for months on end.
