Thanks for being great guests! Since we are new to this, we didn't realize the water would be an issue. We now plan to have someone refill it partway through for large groups that stay more than a couple days. So sorry you had to wait to get it. Your patience and understanding were very much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed the fire pit and other fun. Hope you are able to return in the future. Thanks for everything!

This is a super late reply. Sorry! I just wanted to say we're glad you stayed with us and that we had all you needed for a good time. We're always striving to take feedback and make improvements, but we can't do anything about the traffic. Sorry! We don't really notice it inside, but you can hear it more on the deck. For others reading this, we're not right off the highway (a couple acres between), but we're not super far back, so you will hear it when it's quiet.

I'm glad you got to spend some quality time with your extended family. You were wonderful guests. I hope you are able to come back again sometime!

I sincerely apologize for the mouse you saw and everything that came with that, including the bread it got into. Obviously, it's not what we want, and we try all we can to not have them there. We did know we had a previous mouse problem, but had hoped it was taken care of. Since it's a cabin on the edge of the forest, we're told it's pretty hard to guarantee they're gone and it's a constant battle, but we try! We did tell the next guests (have been there before) and they are even willing to let us leave traps out while they're there, so we're hoping that with the time between them coming and their stay, we will eliminate any mice we have, along with the other things we routinely do. Fingers crossed! As I said, the neighbors you drive by are nice to us and we get along with them. We like to keep them happy. They absolutely will stop anyone who drives by quickly or goes on their property. I want people to avoid a negative interaction with them by warning them what could/has be said. Sorry if that was creepy. That's not the intention I have. I want you to have a positive experience from start to finish. Driving slowly and staying off their property means they will not be a problem for you. As far as over 25 people ... that's the limit for our property, so if you're following the rules, there's nothing to worry about. I'm glad you found everything else clean and enjoyed your time, overall. I wish the mice weren't an issue, and I'm sorry you had to deal with it.
