BEAUTIFUL home as exquisite as shown. The whole property was beautiful, the artistry of the home inside and out provided a relaxing and enchanted aura for the end of the day. The host and hostess communicated very well. All the information for amenities was easily found and accurate. Thank you!

This is a beautiful, well appointed home. Whimsical, fun, and comfy, which reminded us of artistic homes in Spain. Getting to and from the Plaza, is quite easy, and we were always able to park, in the municipal lot. The back patio is so relaxing and a wonderful spot to start your day. I highly recommend this home for your Santa Fe getaway.

Beautiful house, continently located, comfortable, and within walking distance of the plaza and rail yard. We had a great time and very much enjoyed coffee on the back porch listening to the water feature and watching birds and humming birds come and go. Perfect for a home base to see the area. Great kitchen and a short distance from Trader Joe’s, making a meal or snack restock a snap. Thank you again to our hosts, the house was very clean, towels luxurious ,and comfortable linens.

Santa Fe Vacation

One word can describe this whole property. WOW! From the first time pulling into the driveway with landscaping that would rival any HGTV program to opening the front door and marveling at the unbelievable Southwest themed interior that was so clean, it really was unbelievable. The rooms had their own AC with remote controls that made comfort so enjoyable. The layout of the interior was well designed and there was convenience at every corner. This place also had extra bedding, sheets, and towels/wash rags that were not locked up as in other places that we have stayed at and even though they were not needed, we had access to these items. The bathrooms were an amazing sight to see. Amazing design and craftsmanship. But the surprise was outside the back door. A waterfall that was of magazine quality. The tranquil sound of running water filled the air and the well designed landscaping gave a view that was top of the charts. Our overall experience was definitely a 10 PLUS. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life and get away, this place is for you. We know who we will contact when we make a return trip to Santa Fe NM.

This house is an artful masterpiece. From the moment you walk in, you can feel a peacefulness in your heart and soul. We have made several visits to the Hobbitt House and all have been memorable. There is so much to do in Santa Fe and a good way to start your day is take a walk to the Rose Garden and smell the flowers, then continue your walk to Clafoutis bakery for beignets to-go that you can eat on your back patio with your coffee while you watch the hummingbirds enjoying the trumpet vine.

We really enjoyed the house

We particularly enjoyed the patio and the backyard. The kitchen is well designed, and we cooked several dinners that we enjoyed on the patio. The bedrooms and other facilities accommodated my family perfectly.

If a place could get 6 stars, this would be it. The home is a complete work of art, everything custom made and charming, but so totally comfortable. And the backyard is a refuge in the city — we spent as much time in it as we could. Kitchen is extremely well-stocked and ready for use. Location was very convenient to all parts of Santa Fe, with good shopping and restaurants within a short walk. We would rank this among the top places we’ve ever stayed.

WONDERFUL PLACE!!!!!

The Hobbit House is a great place to stay. The house is BEAUTIFUL and the gardens in the front and back yards are gorgeous. Attracts lots of birds and bunnies. This was our 4th stay at the hobbit house and we will definitely be back....

Mother's Day Weekend

This was the perfect place for Mother's Day with my mom and my adult daughter. We each had our own space and my mom in particular was spoiled rotten in the primary suite. She said it was the nicest place she has ever stayed and she has traveled the world!

Masterpiece Home

Among the best Vrbos we've ever stayed at. Comfortable ,clean, well stocked and central enough to downtown ( 5 min. by car) . The detail in construction and design is phenomenal . The cozy and quiet back yard patio is great for relaxing after a day of exploring. We made use of the grill and had a nice dinner outside. The hosts were easy to communicate with and we would return on any future trip to Santa fe.

Great House!

Had a group of 6 celebrating a 50th birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better house to stay in. Plenty of room, comfortable, lots of natural light and the outdoor setting for morning coffee or afternoon drinks beautiful! Close walk to restaurants and shopping. Loved it!

Best house ever!

This home is a work of art! Around every rounded corner there is something else magical. The stone work, mosaics, collections of pots and pottery, just everything speaks to you! This is the best equipped VRBO rental we have ever used. And so clean! Thank you to our hosts who were always available if we needed them or had a question. I want to do a girlfriends trip here next year and have more spa time at Ten Thousand Waves!

Gorgeous place!

I've stayed in many vacation homes all over the world and this one is at the top in terms of beauty, comfort and amenities. The place is just drop-dead gorgeous, with artisan touches everywhere, a beautiful interior design and just about everything (even little cold packs in the freezer) one might need. A true delight to live in for a few days.

A Stunner

The Hobbit House really is a masterpiece and one of the best--if not the best--home I've rented from VRBO. Every inch of this property--the floors, ceiling, walls, showers, kitchen, and even the furnishings--is custom and designed by some amazing craftsmen with true talent. I mean literally no surface inside the home is undecorated, and the photos do not do it justice. As an added bonus, the home is immaculately clean, very thoughtfully provisioned, perfectly organized, and extremely comfortable. Our hosts were responsive, and you can tell someone really takes pride in this property. Although it is not a large space, the whole home is utilized to its fullest and the property feels spacious. A beautiful half-moon covered patio on the back (with a gas grill) is a bonus, and the hosts even provided firewood and kindling for the interior fireplace (a thoughtful detail). This house makes for a truly unique and impressive stay in Santa Fe. Highly recommend!

The Hobbit House Puts Other Rentals to Shame

I've rented several vacation homes before, and this was by far the best experience I've had where it felt like I was house-sitting someone's very nice home. The acclaimed design and architecture aside, the owner sprung for high-quality features like furniture, cookware, silverware, dishware, appliances, etc., instead of the typically inexpensive, low-quality stuff. There were many thoughtful inclusions like cooking spices/oils, condiments, coffee, tea, creamer, a sewing kit, first aid supplies, a picnic basket, ice packs, firewood, board games, a small library of books, and even distilled water for the clothing iron (and so much more)! Other rentals offer a starter kit for the most basic things, but the only thing you're responsible for is your own groceries -- which Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are within walking distance. Most importantly, the home was meticulously clean, and I appreciated that there was no carpet in the house at all. I would definitely stay at the Hobbit House again!

Fantastic!!!

I can't even begin to say how beautiful and exquisite the Hobbit House is! It's an 11 on a 10 scale. Besides the beauty of it's unique design, the house has everything you could possible need, including plush robes for everyone. It's located to all sorts of attractions and particularly close to Clafoutis, a French bakery/restaurant with delicious food. The downtown square is just a short drive or walk, if you want to take in the area on your way.Our family will absolutely begin staying here when we come back each year.

Incredible home

We loved our stay in the Hobbit Home. The mosaics, woodworking, and artwork are unbelievable. The owners are very responsive, and the house is fully appointed, with great attention to detail. Super clean. Great location in a very quiet neighborhood. Can't wait to go back in the summer to enjoy the garden and patio. Highly recommend.

Delightful, Indulgent Stay!

The Santa Fe Hobbit House is stunningly unique and comfortable. We had a good time finding new beautiful design details the whole time we were in the house. Beds and furniture were all inviting and luxurious. We didn't use the kitchen as often as we usually might because the neighborhood had such wonderful restaurants. Our hosts were gracious and responsive. The only thing additional thing we could ask for is a written description of the history and craftspeople who developed this beautiful property.

Best stay

Cleanest and most unique place we've ever stayed! Enjoyed the fireplace, the cozy robes, 2 luggage racks in each room. Love the art in both decor and finish. Our favorite place to stay in Santa Fe now!

My wife and I have lived in Santa Fe for the last 40 years and for the last 10, we have wanted to play 'host.' We bought a house in a key location, and for 5 years, I 'dolled it up' with an attempt to make it a 'live-in art gallery.' It was so fun, I now am doing more of this kind of work. Sheila came in with her green thumb, and designed and planted the landscaping, plus, she oversaw all the interior decoration and furnishings. Now we work together to get it ready for guests. We enjoy sharing the house with our guests.
