Rising Sun is a peaceful mountain retreat located in the Mt. Mitchell Golf Course Community of Western North Carolina. (Golf course is currently closed) Nestled on 10 private wooded acres at 3,200 feet elevation, this home offers sweeping views looking up the South Toe River valley towards Roan Mountain Tennessee! Our home has modern amenities and convenient access to outdoor adventures. The South Toe/Mount Mitchell Lands area is 30 minutes from Burnsville, 1 hour from Asheville and 2 1/2 hours from Charlotte.

We clean, drain, and refill the hot tub with hot water after every stay. In the rare event it’s unavailable during your visit, a $15/night credit will be applied—there are not hot tub companies in the area, so repairs can take weeks sometimes.
