The Space:
This unit is on the second floor and has great interior details that include built in custom veneered cabinets, full wall to wall tile in bathroom, wood floors, stainless appliance package, concrete counter tops, large pantry, fully furnished kitchen wares, place settings for 4, closets, blackout shades, VOC free paint and stackable washer/dryer. This unit sleeps 3 people. An air mattress can be brought in on request for additional guests. Located walking distance to all the area's best amenities

Guest have access to the parking lot, breezeway seating area, and front courtyard seating area.

The Neighborhood:
The Bishop Arts District is a neighborhood rich in history, and was the site of Dallas' busiest trolley stop in the 1930s. Since the area's revitalization, the Bishop Arts District has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today and The Daily Beast for its small-town feel, hidden-gem appeal, and close-knit community. Located in the heart of North Oak Cliff, the Bishop Arts District is home to over 60 independent boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and art galleries, making it one of Dallas' most unique neighborhoods.

Getting Around:
Uber: Readily available and can get you downtown Dallas in 7 minutes and approximately $7.

Dlink Bus: Bus stop is out in front of the building on the adjacent property. Search DART to learn about pricing and schedules.

Dallas Street Car: Local stop is at Zang and Davis .4 miles from the building. Runs 7 days a week to Downtown Dallas from 5:30 am to midnight and is Free. Frequency is every 20 minutes.

Interaction with Guests:
I work closely with my co-host assistant Alex to make your trip the best it can be. She and I both live in the neighborhood and are available for simple questions and more serious concerns. We love helping guests but also have kids and busy lives. Most questions can be answered by reviewing the listing information and we are available to answer everything else.

Second time staying in the building. Nice place. Everything as expected. As close as you can get to Bishop Arts District and handy to downtown and freeway access. On-site parking very helpful (there’s not much in the area). Environment is safe though I wouldn’t wander blocks away at night. Only down is that Saturday night was loud and rowdy til 2 am.

The place was decently sized and in a great location if you want to explore Bishop Arts.We had a little bit of a mixup with parking and the unlock code, but Alex was very quick to help us and got everything sorted in a timely manner!

Bishop Arts Adventure

Great place! The hotel is close enough to walk to all the interesting shops and entertainment spots while still being a quiet place to rest up. Plus there are a lot of different food choices just a walk away. The suite was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay at Bishop Arts Hotel when I get back to the Dallas area!!

Host was great. Had a problem late at night on day one and they sent someone over the next morning to fix it. Very easy to work with and answered questions in a timely manner. My only suggestion would be to update the cookware. Otherwise I had a great start and would definitely stay again.

Some problems

We enjoyed the suite. But, the inside front handle kept coming off.The third knob on the shower regulator handle came offWoke up at 6:30am with water pouring through the bathroom light fixture. Caused a lot of anxiety. We weren't sure if it was going to stop. Then when it did we weren't sure that it wouldn't happen again. Used all the towels on the floor. They were sopping wet. Washed the towels. When I put them in the dryer the door kept popping open. We tried it several times but it kept popping open. I took half of the towels out thinking all of them together weighed too much but door continued to pop open. Then the filter cover fell off because I kept shutting the door I guess. Three bottles were placed in one corner of the tub. When I went to pick up the body wash it fell in the tub and the nozzle cracked. The grout in the bathroom throught out the bathroom needs to major cleaning. And the worst was the bed. It was so low that we had to fall into the bed and then pull ourselves out. A simple box spring would make all the difference. For all of this inconvience I think we should get a refund for 1 day. Thanks Alex

Terrible Customer Service

Communication was good prior to booking but was misleading and upon arrival communication was non existent. I specifically asked about availability to park a small trailer onsite for the duration of my stay as i was coming into town for a trade show, and also asked if the community was safe. Was told they would check and get back with me. Simply responded that the parking would accomodate compact vehicles and yes it was safe and there shouldnt be a problem. Upon arrival i found out that there was only parking for1 vehicle per unit. I arrived early and tried to contact via app 3 times to address the obvious problem. no one ever responded. i had to park beside the bldg while I waited for the door to open for checkin and for about anhour until I could access my trade show. In that time I receive an email with my vehicles picture asking if its mine to which I said yes and again addressed the problem and the issue of I specifically asked about parking the trailer there. i was simple told they couldnt accomodate . I asked for a direct number to contact and was told to address any issues thru the app. I responded with, you mean the app that I have sent multiple messages to with no response. If your looking for good communication and a personable response should you have an issue you need to look elsewhere. good location for sure, room good with the exception the dryer door kept popping open and you had to literally keep your hand on it to keep it running. Its the principle for me

Cute Place, Great Location

The apartment was just as listed--clean and really cute. Great communication from owner and entire process was seamless. Hubby and I stayed for a mini-getaway/night on the town in Bishop Arts. We were just steps from restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend.

The property is in a great location in the Bishop Arts District. It is very close to shops and restaurants and a short walk to the Texas Theatre. It was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was a bit loud but it did not end up bothering my sleep

Artsy with a wonderful feel

My husband and I stayed here as our last stop on vacation and everything was wonderful. We were able to walk across the street to the shops in the Art District. It was perfectly located to take a stroll. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from. Everything was exactly as described. The artwork displayed was beautiful. Since we had been to three other homes before this on our trip around TEXAS I have to say the bed, bedding and pillows here had us sleeping like babies. Attention to detail goes a long way with us. Lastly, I’d like to mention that communications with the owner were very prompt and professional. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great Dallas location

Perfect access for Bishop Arts

Quick date weekend at our favorite restaurant in Bishop Arts. This location gave us everything we needed in terms of location, including a designated parking spot. Will stay again!

Really nice!!

This property is exactly as advertised. Everything was nice clean and in order. The only two problems I had was the Wi-Fi didn't work and the bed is on a very short platform, it's literally 7 or 8 in off the ground. The location is excellent!

Construction of the B.A. Lofts was completed in the fall of 2016 and is a ten unit building that accommodates short and long term guests. The goal for this project was to create a building that blended into the historical fabric of the Bishop Arts District while becoming an architectural high point of its own and celebrated by many generations to come. I am very grateful to share my work and neighborhood with you. I hope you enjoy your stay!

The building offers all the best comforts of new construction with a unique and custom design aesthetic that only this building can offer. This is the first choice for design minded travelers looking for a boutique accommodation. The property owner and developer of the building is not only your host but a long time neighborhood resident. A 21 year real estate professional he has built a dedicated management team that focuses on dependable professional services, something that is often missing in short term rental properties. All details have been considered and this property is one of the few offering each guest with a computer generated door code unique to each booking. Christian and his team are always eager to meet new travelers and help facilitate a great travel experience in the Bishop Arts District neighborhood.
