Looking for a getaway for your friends, family or multi-family? Look no further than our beach house in Old Orchard Beach. This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood. It can easily accommodate 10 guests with 4 plus bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a sofa bed and a futon. There’s also wireless internet access, air conditioning and ceiling fans in main living spaces. This home provides a welcoming relief from what hotels and motels offer... togetherness.... The open floor plan offers large kitchen that adjoins a dining room. Step into the living room and you’ll find a brightly natural lit living room with plenty of space to relax.

Main floor hosts the master bedroom with queen bed and a master bath. Head upstairs and you will find the the 2nd bedroom with a 1 twin bed and 1 full bed. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms have full beds. At the end of the hall, you’ll find another full bath.

Extend your gatherings to the backyard deck equipped with a gas grill, and a shaded area for outdoor dining. The traditional cottage and no-frills decor add to the warmth and no pressure relaxing theme. When you are ready, Old Orchard Beach’s seven miles of sandy beach is just a quick 5 minute walk away. There is nothing like watching the sun rise or taking a nice walk to relax you. After your day at the beach, you are a ten minute walk from Palace Playland, Maine’s only beach front amusement park. Restaurants and shopping are plentiful and will satisfy everyone’s cravings. If you would like to take a drive, Kennebunkport and Portland are 20-30 minutes away.

Perfect beach house

Perfect location right down the block from the beach, short walk to the boardwalk with carnival rides, games and arcade. Perfect for family’s or as we were a group of friends there were fun bars we could walk to as well.

Great beach escape

This property was just perfect for our annual family get away. It was accurately described in the listing and photos, had everything we needed, and gave us plenty of space inside and out. The new deck was a pleasant surprise. We would not hesitate to book again.

First VRBO Rental Went Great!!

The house was as described, the check-in was very easy, the welcome book was super helpful and the location was perfect. The space for 7 people was perfect. I would not hesitate to rent here again.

Clean beach house

Clean, close to the beach and short walk to pier. Plenty of room in common areas. Close to train track but get used to it by second day… Not a problem for us!

Great location lots of space

We had a great stay. The house was large and we were very comfortable there. The beds were all super comfortable and each bedroom had an a/c. The location to the beach was perfect, a 5 minute walk. The walk to the pier took us about 10 minutes. The train goes by often but honestly it never disturbed us. We would most definitely stay here again.

The house was perfect for the six of us. It had everything needed, was decorated well, super clean with a helpful host. It was a a short walk to the beach. Lots of info on the house and area.

Wow wow wow!

This was our second stay at this property and wow! So many updates have been made to the property since our last stay new appliances, and furniture just to name a few. The beds are super comfortable and the towels and linens are high quality. The backyard is very comfortable for relaxing after a day at the beach. Our little one really enjoyed the water table in the backyard. We had a couple of rainy days during our stay so we made good use of the puzzles and games that are available. Thanks for a great stay!

Close to beach and train tracks

Overall, our stay was pretty good. The host was very responsive and helpful. The main floor was great with a decent size kitchen and living room as well as a master bedroom and bathroom. The upstairs was very tight with 3 tiny bedrooms and a tiny bathroom. The backyard had a nice patio section with a grill but the rest of it had some sad looking grass. The house is located very close to the train tracks which was a really frustrating alarm clock multiple times in the night (the kids loved watching the train though). The location of the house to the beach was great, a very short walk which was nice. Overall, it was a decent stay for the price. We enjoyed a week of family time. Thank you for hosting us!

A Summer Vacation

When we arrived everything was wonderful, clean and comfortable. Second day, new dishwasher wouldn’t work. Called owner, had electrician come and fix it very quickly. It’s a nice area, quick to get to golf, the pier and everything OOB has. The only thing is the train is a little unsettling at first, but you get used to it. Enjoy

Only downside to the property was the train. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay with a group, plenty of room and about as close to the beach as you can get. We would stay again!!

Fun place kids!

The cottage was cozy and comfortable. Each evening, we walked East Grand Avenue for ice cream or other entertainment. We were a 5 minute walk to the beach which was convenient. Plenty of parking on the street. The train was a bit annoying at 4:30 a.m. but the kids liked watching it!

Orchard Beach Gem

The great location allowed for our young teens to play miniature golf and the amusement park on their own, and we all loved the close proximity to the beach. The family-friendly house included games for the kids, a new grill and excellent laundry facilities. Our host was so responsive and caring. We look forward to returning!

Even better than expected!

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The house was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the living room and kitchen photos just don’t do it justice. Beds were comfortable. Linens and towels all seemed to be very new. The hose outside by the stairs was nice to rinse feet and beach toys. The kitchen was well equipped to cook just about anything. We didn’t spend too much time outside at the house but the patio area is very nice shaded space to relax on after a day on the beach. We traveled with our senior dog. The house stayed nice and cool during the day so we were not concerned leaving her in the house while we were at the beach :) This house is a short walk to the beach and walkable to the pier area. For us it was close enough to the action but also far enough away. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfy and cozy!

We loved our stay! SUPER cute cottage with a nice big living room and open concept with kitchen. We were able to grill out back and sit outside with Family and friends. Theres a local pub right up the road with delicious food! Beach is just a few minute walk. Plenty of parking space. Only downfall is the train tracks close by. But that wouldnt stop us from staying here again! You wont be disappointed!

August Family Vacation 2021

We were extremely happy with our stay at this house. It was a short walk to the beach(.2 miles), very clean and we were welcomed with a gift basket of treats and bottle of wine which was an awesome surprise. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation 2021

We would definitely go back , the house was clean, perfectly located and for our huge family of 8 we all fit perfect ! The kids loved the fireworks on the beach, great fishing and most of all we are all Medical professionals on a well needed rest time it was quiet at night . The kids loved putting coins on the railroad track and waited to hear it coming thru the front as they ran down after to get their coins ! Great memories ! Thank you !

Decent stay

We paid more than we normally do given the photos and what seemed to be updated home. The house was not cleaned upon our arrival and the photos are not accurate as to how updated the space is. Also incredibly close to the train which runs at least 8 times day and overnight. Beach is very close though. The owners were responsive and kind.

Great people and location, but the house has issues

The owners of this property are great. They’re 5-star people. The same goes for the location - short walk to the beach. This house is very close to the train tracks which our kids loved but light sleepers did not. Although we had a nice family vacation (five adults and two children), the property fell short of our expectations. When we arrived, most of the windows lacked blinds, there was no soap in the bathroom and we didn’t have enough towels. The owners were quick to rectify the issues - coming over to hang up blinds. When there were bugs coming out of the outlets on the kitchen counter, the owners also supplied us with bug spray. Of course, having to deal with issues like that on vacation isn’t great. The house lacked a lot of amenities most vacation homes have. There wasn’t enough kitchen supplies, laundry detergent, dish washer detergent, etc. Although the house advertises games and entertainment, there were no board games or even a deck of cards. The house was barebones. Although they advertise beach chairs, there were only two when we arrived. The owners did go out and buy more - but for a house that “sleeps 10” you need more beach stuff, kitchen utensils, etc. The backyard was disappointing. It was muddy, the picnic table is gross and the two grills supplied were disgusting. One grill is rusted and had tin foil stuck in it. The other had an empty propane tank, all the burners on and was covered in old food fat/sludge. I cleaned that grill twice to get it to work properly. It would be nice if the grills were better taken care of and the back yard was in better shape. Overall, the property was a mess - the flooring in the living room is coming up and the photos of the house look nicer online. On our last night, a mouse ran in the kitchen and disappeared under the kitchen cabinets. That put the icing on the cake for us. Again, the owners were great and very responsive, but the price of the property wasn’t worth the many headaches we encountered on our vacation. It was the most we paid for any rental property in OOB to date.

Quintessential New England beach house!

This is a quintessentially New England beach house. Located within a very short, easy stroll to the seven mile stretch of sandy beach that is Old Orchard Beach, this home has a lot to offer. The nostalgic sound of the train horn can be heard frequently, as the Down Easter comes through on tracks close to the home. Train aficionados will love this! Initially the entry code did not work. The owner was readily available and quickly re-set the code. We were originally to be a party of 8-9. But two of the adults ended up not being able to attend. This turned out to be a good thing! It was a perfect fit for the six of us. There is seating for six around the dining table, as well as seating for six in the living room, eight if you move the love seat from the porch into the living room. The rules ask that no furniture be moved. Pulling in the stuffed chair from the master bedroom for extra living room seating would also be a no-no. The back yard has seating for eight. There is a fire pit!! We supplied our own kindling and logs. We enjoyed a fire, with the teens making s’mores, several times! The picnic table comfortably sat our group. We used the grill but had to clean it first. There were a few items of trash blowing around the back yard. We popped them into the already full black trash barrel. One of the front widows was broken open leaving a small gap open to the outside. The owner was attentive when made aware of this, and the trash problem. There were no pot holders, corkscrew, pizza cutter, or cookie sheets/pizza pan. The owner’s mother lives one house over and was quickly responsive to our needs for some items. We bought, and left other items to help this new rental become more fully stocked. We rented with the intention of cooking all our own meals at the house. We realize not all renters will do that. Several of the windows in two upstairs bedrooms lacked shades/curtains, and screens. It was cool enough during our stay that we could have slept with windows open. But the lack of screens, curtains, and the train horn were deterrents. Three generations of our family has a relaxing time enjoying being together for the first time since March 2020. We would absolutely rent this home again as we know the owner to be super caring, attentive, and eager to make staying at her properties a positive experience! She is new to this, but has expressed her intention to make the property even more well equipped for future renters!! Enjoy!!! We did!!
