Spacious, (3200 sq ft) light-filled, comfortable home with views of the Rainbow River from almost every room. This is the ideal river location with a popular spring for divers and snorkelers just in front of the house. Located upstream from the KP Hole tuber start point, this is a tranquil, peaceful spot. You can enjoy a half mile float to the KP hole with a short walk home, or kayak/tube the entire length to Swampy’s. The head springs is an easy 0.7 mile kayak trip upstream. Only 17 miles to World Equestrian Center and Crystal River.

There is a detached building with washer, dryer , as well as additional queen/twin beds for additional $50 linen/cleaning fee (per stay). This may work well for extended families with grandparents or parents of small children who would like to retire early. Monthly rentals available November-March at 25% discount.

We are dedicated to preserving the peace of this beautiful place for our lovely neighbors. This is a family property, currently available for weekly or monthly rentals (Saturday-Saturday only, during summer months.). Shorter stays considered in the off-season depending on housekeeper availability. No parties nor day guests are allowed. There is a strict non- smoking, no pet policy. Exterior security cameras are present to ensure policies and for guest safety.

The local kayak rental charges $45 per day in addition to $5 park admission and taxes. At Roy G Biv’s the use of 6 adult kayaks, 3 youth kayaks and 4 paddle boards is included with your stay. Tubes are also available. No boat docking/tie-up is available on the property.

There is so much to do in this area, including scalloping and manatee tours in nearby Crystal River, world class fishing on the Withlacoochee River and Gulf Coast, and Orlando amusement parks two hours away. The home is 17 miles from the new Ocala World Equestrian Center, and five minutes from renowned Juliette Falls Golf course.

Relaxation on the river!

The location and views are amazing. We got to see plenty of wildlife during our stay as we spent every day on the river. The house was as described and fit our needs. We were able to prepare meals with ease and do some laundry. This place is a must stay!

GIRLS WEEKEND AWAY

This place was perfect for 11 of us friends that love a Girls' getaway. Plenty of space and enough water toys. We loved the outside space on the water with plenty of seating and shade. We loved all the windows in the enclosed Florida room, also with plenty of seating. The kitchen was large enough for all the food amd cooking we did. The water, wildlife, and weather were perfect. We would definitely come back again.

Very nice place.

We loved the location of this house. We would have liked to have everyone be able to stay in the house, but it was OK. The furniture was quite old, but in good shape, We loved the porch with al the windows. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the handy man, George, who was helpful with a couple of things we needed taken care of. The owner was very responsive when I had a concern. We would have rented it again for next year, but the price went up significantly from this year. Unfortunately, we will look for another place because of that.

Perfect River Front Home

My family and I had a perfect trip to Rainbow River. The house is directly located in a prime spot on the river by a main dive spring. We saw an abundance of wildlife along with divers, kayakers and snorkelers daily. The rental provides an array of all that you will need to get out on the river and have fun that includes paddle boards, kayaks, paddles, tubes, fins, wetsuits for kids and life vests. Inside, the home was clean and fully equipped. The owner was great to work with. She was prompt to answer questions. We will return again next summer.

Our favorite rental on Rainbow River

This house is perfect for our family. Our stay was with my husband and two adult kids and my brother, his wife and adult kid. We had two adult kids missing this year but they would have had available beds. We loved the shaded river side patio and the plethora of hang out spaces inside. The view from inside is as good as outside! Owners and property maintenance person are excellent communicators. We couldn't be happier.

Awesome location. Awesome river and great open layout of house.

We spent a week there with a varying number of people (some couldn't stay whole week). We spent most of our time on the river. We started with a lot of kayaking but ended up really loving the paddleboards. I'm not good with balance things but was able to do it pretty good and enjoyed it more than the kayak. Just don't forget to put the fin down for steering. The house was in very good shape. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are all in one big open area which worked out great for us. There was plenty of room for all of us to hang out together. That where we were most of the time we weren't on the river. The house was very well supplied with entertainment. The large number of kayaks, rafts, and paddleboards meant that we all could be on the river. We ended up not needing any other entertainment than what was provided. The river temperature is great! We loved that it would keep us cool even on hot days. We all had a wonderful time.

Rainbow River Never Disappoints

Everything was perfect in every way! The house was large enough for our group of nine. The kitchen was the best stocked of any we have rented and the owner was easy to work with. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend this house for your next visit to Rainbow Springs! Thanks for everything, it was a trip we will always remember!

The beautiful Rainbow River

We spent a glorious two weeks in this fantastic house on the river. Great, well equipped kitchen. We cooked in every day. Fantastic kayaking, swimming and hiking in the state park. We also canoed the Withlacoochee river one day using the outfitter and shuttle service in Dunnellon. A beautiful trip through the cypress forest. The Florida room is huge and we spent all our time either there or outdoors. We had superb weather. The river is incredible. Great birding and wildlife.

Amazing location on the river

Property was beautiful! As a large family group we really enjoyed swimming and kayaking the river. Very nice 1 hr float to kp hole. Owner was accommodating and responded quickly to any questions we may have had. Enjoyed nightly fires and just listening to all the different animal sounds at night. Definitely looking forward to a return visit! Thank you!

Absolute Paradise!

We enjoyed the first week of our summer relaxing at this wonderful home. The house is very well taken care of... clean, updated, with all the river and household amenities ready to go, even books and games for all ages. The owner/s are easily available with quick, helpful responses to any questions. The river view is stunning, instant sense of calm and peace! Perfect location on the river with a spring directly across from the backyard. We kayaked upriver to the headsprings, floated down to KP Hole, snorkeled, swam and did the longer float to Blue Run. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the deck taking in the views and watching others enjoying the river. We saw ducks, cormorants, anhinga, cardinals, hawks, fish, turtles and otters. Beautiful sunset views too. The long driveway in is surrounded by nature where we saw squirrels, bunnies and more birds. Very relaxing. We didn't leave the house much but we did go geocaching and to Rainbow Springs State Park. Groceries are close by as well as local restaurants. We always enjoy Swampy's and Blue Gator and this trip we tried and liked Ye Olde Sub & Pizza Pub. Our crew, ages 10 to 81, all loved this place! As the friendly neighbor said... this is a great place to get away from the "civilization" of our big city. Just the retreat we needed to escape reality :)

Perfect Family Vacation

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful home with our family. The location on the river is wide and beautiful. The house is comfortable and has everything stocked. The bedrooms all have private baths. The kitchen has all the cookware you need. And best of all, the kayaks and paddle boards and tubes are all there on the property. The homeowner is available at all times and very pleasant to work with. We have stayed on this river for 20 years in different rentals, and this is our favorite!

Relaxing Family Getaway

We spent a week with our family on this property. The moment you open the front door and see the beautiful view, you know you are going to enjoy this place. Very spacious living areas and bedrooms. The kitchen has everything a family needs. The absolute best part of our stay was enjoying the outdoor space. Listening to the chorus of frogs at night was nothing we’d ever experienced. The owners are very responsive. We loved our stay and can’t wait until we can visit again.

Wonderful setting

Our first time staying on the Rainbow Springs River. Loved every minute of it. Would highly recommend this home to anyone that wants to enjoy nature and this beautiful river. Had our coffee out by the river in the morning and a fire in the fire pit at night.

Wonderful holiday getaway

We had a blast on the river using the provided paddle boards and kayaks- saw alligators on a couple days, along with otters and an amazing assortment of birds. Great windows facing river, nice table to enjoy coffee at water’s edge. Would absolutely love to return!

Excellent location & house on Rainbow

Overall experience great! Almost don’t want to let anyone know about how much we enjoyed our stay & keep this place a secret. Rainbow River has been our go to Thanksgiving week family trip for many years. First time at this property and family voted it their favorite. They want to go back when it’s warmer and again next Thanksgiving. Location is excellent - above KP Hole, near some deep springs & head spring , shallow off the property-good for kids. Very quiet neighborhood. Kayaks and paddle boards & life jackets & tubes supplied. Easy paddle to head spring and back, Gissy creek & we did the trip down to Blue Run too. Due to time of year we didn’t tube & since it was cold this year only husband braved actual swimming but with wet suit snorkeling and scuba is good right around the house & a bit downstream.Fishing was good too, no dock but a wall which is easy to fish off. Nice patio on the water, plenty of chairs. Saw tons of birds - including osprey catching fish, pileated woodpecker, ibis, anahinga, wood ducks, herons; otter, turtles etc. We had a fire in fire pit most nights. Good size lawn so we played corn hole (supplied) and croquet and golf toss (we brought). Bike trail nearby at Blue Run. (brought ours). Hiked and geo-cached in Rainbow Springs SP and Pruit Trailhead on 484. Crystal River isn’t far- good spot for manatee viewing is 3 Sisters (can’t enter w/ kayaks at this time of year due to manatee presence for winter) but can see from boardwalk or right outside of spring (put in at Hunter)(no manatee on Rainbow). Crystal River downtown is always decorated cutely for Christmas at this time of year. Visit Grumbles House in Dunellon. Sunroom is amazing - table for eating and a nice sitting area, when we weren’t outside we were in there. We had Thanksgiving meal at table in sunroom-all our meals actually, overlooking the river. There’s a good size dining room table too, daughters family is a puzzle family so they were able to set up there. Abundant seating throughout house - room to be together but also to have some separate time. Husband and I enjoyed having the bedroom upstairs (great views of river out the windows) and leaving the 2 downstairs bedrooms to those who stay up later. Kitchen is super well supplied & we love a gas stove/oven. Owner very available with communication. Already looking at dates to return. So glad we chose to try a new house this year. We’ve always enjoyed Rainbow but this location is so good.

Beautiful property

We loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful home. It was clean, organized, and well stocked with everything we needed for a week on the river. Communication was outstanding and check in and check out was easy. We will definitely be looking forward to another stay in the future.

Awesome! I want to live here.

This is an awesome place. The river is amazing with its crystal clear water and wildlife. Great snorkeling . Something to do every day . There is a big spring near the house . The patio by the river is awesome. All the toys you would ever need. The house is great - you just want to stay in the sunroom area with the views . Everything you need to stay for a while and cook your own meals etc . 2 big master bedrooms and a bunk room . Plenty of room for a big family stay . Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Owner was very accessible and responded immediately. Can’t wait to come back for an extended stay.
