The house was super clean, all one level and great for someone with a walking disability. Conveniently located in a nice area. Great places to dine close by and plenty of places to get onto the beach!

We had a very specific reason for our visit this week: a family member's wedding! Mostly very scheduled activities. Made some time to fish and had a really nice Easter with family at our "house." First VRBO experience was very pleasant. Thank you.

The rental needs some TLC and a deep clean. It has a lot of potential. We loved the back porch and the yard. Its very close to the beach and restaurants.

Just what I was hoping for

The place was in a quiet neighborhood only about a half mile walk to the beach. To me it was a great value. I did not have to spend time figuring things out at the house. It was comfortable and relaxing.

Badly needed “island time”

We had a very relaxing weekend. Quiet neighborhood, easy walk to the beach. I’m very impressed with the professionalism of Parker Kaufman realty, they were so easy to deal with and I can’t say “thank you” enough. House was great, covered patio in back, decent sized rooms. I would rent it again

Home away from home

Enjoyed staying in this vacation home. It was clean and cozy. There was plenty of room for our family, 4 adults and 2 kids. In the evening while sitting in the screened porch we were blessed with a visit from some deer. I love to cook, so we ate all our meals at "home". The kitchen was furnished with all we needed as far as dishes and utensils. It was really nice having a washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable. While it doesn't offer a beach view, the walk to the beach isn't too far.

We were not able to enter the property. Email that was sent stated the door would be unlocked and keys inside. The doors were locked. Had to call for assistance, lady was not very apologetic. Waited for another person to call who was rude. Waited 30-45 minutes to be able to enter the house.

Good choice on Jykell

Carole Cottage is very dated but exceptionally clean in a nice neighborhood. A short walk to the beach. We would recommend this rental but be warned supples provided were sparse. Bring your own laundry detergent, bath soap, coffee filters, charcoal, extra dishwasher detergent and possibly roll off TP. Also be prepared to be asked to sweep and vacuum floors. This was a first for us, but may be common in beach rentals.

Enjoyed our stay at Carole Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location for the cottage, within two blocks of the beach and just a short drive up the road to Driftwood Beach. Everything was clean and in good order in the house. We did have issues eventually on the second day where the front door lock refused to work, but the garage door opened to the same key, so no issues there. Some may think the place needs updated, but it had everything we needed, the furniture was comfortable, and absolutely no concerns while we were there. Would certainly consider returning to the cottage again in the future.

Jekyll Island is our happy place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Parker Kaufman has always been where we rent from. We love the houses. The only thing is paying attention to bedding. We had to wash the one comforter due to a white residue on it.
