Located 1/2 hour by car from Avignon (Popes' Palace, bridge, theater festival in July), but also from Gordes (village of bories and heritage, Abbey of Sénanque), the Dentelles de Montmirail and its villages renowned for its Côtes du Rhône wines.
The village of Pernes is very rich in historical heritage, in arts and crafts, and offers a street theatre festival at the beginning of August (Font'art).
Nearby is the Via Venaissia, an old railway line converted into a cycle route. Otherwise, for experienced cyclists, you still have to climb our giant of Provence, the Mont-Ventoux!
A little further away, 1 hour away, the village of Sault offers a lavender festival on August 15th.
At 1/4 hour there is a swimming lake (Lac des Salettes in Mormoiron), with a tree climbing park on site.
You also have Fontaine de Vaucluse and its famous resurgence of water and its picturesque village,
L'isle sur Sorgues, its paddle wheels and its antique dealer's village...
Lots of parks and activities for children too: the Spirou park and Wave Island in Monteux, the enchanted forest in Mallemort, the butterfly farm in Velleron,
Canoeing and tree climbing park in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse...
