Disappointed Stay

I was very disappointed in my stay in this townhouse! The moment I walked in the townhouse a roach crawled across the floor. There were roaches in the dishwasher, the cabinets, where the silverware was, it was terrible! They knew there was a problem because they had sprayed before we had arrived according to the neighbor and their was spray under the sink! Also, the master bedroom bed was nasty! The sheets had hairs and dirt on them and the bedspread had a brown stain on it! You can't use the stove or air fryer at the same time it flips a breaker! They did come out when I called on the breaker but didn't fix the breaker! Terrible Terrible place! Gulf Highlands itself is nice!

It was a nice place, but…

It was a nice place! However, it was dirty. The floors were so nasty. My baby’s legs were BLACK after crawling around the first 5 minutes after getting there. The pullout couch was gross too. And the upstairs toilet leaks. We didn’t use it because it would leak all over the floor. But other than that, it wasn’t bad. Just needs a better cleaning crew than whomever cleans it now, and the toilet needs to be fixed. If they get those issues addressed, we would absolutely come stay again.

Panama City

Check in was easy, great location, spacious, beds were comfortable. Amenities were favorable. This was the first time since I've used any rental from vrbo that had issues with roaches. I'm thankful maintenance came and sprayed but it was a health concern. Overall the family had fun and that meant more to us.

Cute & convenient

The condo wasn’t bad at all, we did see a couple of roaches in the kitchen. When we arrived I noted that the back screen door and frame were completely broken. All of the chairs to the back patio table, the seats were busted out of. There were two hard lawn chairs back there. We got a whole 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people (3 women) to last 3 nights. The rest was great. It was a cute place, great location. Beds could use a cheap padded mattress cover. Bring your own pillows if you are picky!!!!!

Horrible

We booked this condo 3/27/22- 4/2/22. Upon arriving we were disappointed. We immediately noticed Upon entry the floors were filthy. They are white so yes dirt and sand will show! We brought in first our food . When we open the refrigerator ROACHES RAN EVERYWHERE !! On the counters , crawling up cabinets and in the silverware drawers!! They sent a guy and when he pulled out the frig there's a huge nest of roaches! Also food, trash , and a bowl busted full of seashells ! He sprayed in the vacuum pesticides with the roaches and sit the vacuum in the outside, ajoining washroom . So eveytime I went in there roaches !! We contacted Vacasa again and they did not address it . When we went upstairs still dirty floors . Trash behind the head board on the bed of the main bedroom. Again sand and dirty floors also. The bathroom still had hairs in the shower from the previous people and was dirty and dingy ! Hairs all in the shower and apparently was not cleaned. Water all over the bathroom floor from the leaking toilet , which we had to keep changing towels on the floor to keep it half dry the whole time we were there . We mentioned this twice to whomever the guy was that sprayed the roaches in the vacuum. Also no washcloths at all! We had to go buy some. Also the second day I had to buy cleaner for the floors they were so dirty ! 4 times mopping the up stairs main room and all 4 times the mop was flighty dark brown almost black as I rinsed it out !!! I mopped and mopped down stairs and became exhaustsd at the nasty dark brown water from rinse after rinse and mop there ! Still wasn't clean after several attempts. The red couch that's a sleeper also had shoes , toilet paper roll, chip bag, and general junk and sand under neath it as I moved it to mop !!! Did anyone even clean at all after the last people ? Have they even cleaned this unit at all in weeks ? Oh and not to mention the bed is horrible!! I never have back problems and the few days we stayed in the morning I couldn't move ! I don't know if this condo is personal owned or Vacasa owned but it was a big disappointment! We left a day early due to this !! We continued to see roaches everyday all over the kitchen !!! This place needs a deep clean and an exterminator !

My family and I had a great stay at Gulf Highlands! Walking distance to the beach. Quiet, family friendly complex. Plenty of room for 6 people to stretch out within the home and not be on top of one another. The issues we found though, the single bed up stairs is not comfortable at all. My back hurt every day and sleep never quite found me. The sleeper sofa mattress smells. Could definitely be replaced as well.
