Vi har en indbydende stueetage, 723 ft., Et soveværelse condiminium på Kihei Kai Nani-komplekset på tværs af gaden fra en smuk strand, Kamaole II, i Kihei (240 skridt til sand). Kamaole II er en smuk gylden sandstrand (klassificeret som en af de 15 bedste strande på Maui af den vel respekterede Maui Revealed), som både er lang og bred og har en dejlig snorkelrev i slutningen. Det har en livredder i løbet af dagen og er lavt, hvilket gør det familievenligt. En kort gåtur væk er Kamaole I og III, og en velholdt sti er tilgængelig for vandrere og joggere, der vil tage dig fra den ene strand til den anden helt ned til den smukke og eksklusive Wailea (en afslappende 2 mile kystlinjevandring). Der er bænke, der er placeret langs denne sti for at give mulighed for hvile og hvalsafari i tidsrammen december - marts, når hvalerne ofte ses ved at fluse lige ved kysten.

Kihei Kai Nani ligger ved siden af en række butikker og restauranter, hvilket gør det muligt at bo her uden behov for en lejebil. Maui-bussen stopper forbi på S. Kihei-vej lige uden for komplekset til ikke-gåafstand udflugter.

Awesome stay

We loved our stay here. The location is great. The condo is perfect. And our 18 year old son loved the futon. He is 6'4" and said that he had a great sleep on it. We will definitely consider staying here longer on our next visit to Maui!

Great location!

We have had a very enjoyable 6 weeks in this very comfortable condo. We love the location that is so convenient to beach, restaurants and shopping. Chuck and Liz were most helpful in making our stay enjoyable. The staff are very pleasant to work with as well. We would definitely recommend this condo to friends and return ourselves.

Kihei Bliss

We stayed in the Kihei Kai Nani. It was a nice suite, very clean and well supplied with everything we needed, and then some. The property as well is very nice, beautiful pool, but the best part is it is literally right across the road from the beach, less than a minute's walk. Our suite was also fully supplied with everything we needed for enjoying the beach. I highly recommend this property.

Homey and Comfortable apartment close to beach

I stayed 5 nights in this comfortable, clean and homey apartment. Communication and check-in were super easy and well organized. A nice touch was the bowl of welcoming snacks. The kitchen is well equipped. If you want sharp knives, do bring your own. The location and proximity to the beach and other amenities make this a great place to stay. It was also nice to find some staples such as salt, sugar, tea and coffee. The Lanai has snorkel masks and other water and sand toys for guests to use. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great condo

We loved the condo and our time in Maui. The condo was clean and comfortable. It was centrally located close to many of the restaurants and a short drive to many of the attractions. A beautiful beach is located right across the road and it was convenient to use the beach chairs provided at the condo. Having a full, equipped kitchen was great as we ate breakfast and lunch in the condo. We hope to return soon!

Outdated and dirty.

The location was excellent. The condo however was very outdated and old. It was dirty and I do not think the quilt on the bed had been washed. I scrubbed the clothes iron to use it and didn't dare use the ironing board. A lot of the utensils were old and rusted and didn't dare use them either. The patio door was very hard to open and couldn't lock the screen door. The futon was dirty and the cushions on the dining room chairs were very dirty. One looked like someone had thrown up on it. Blankets and sheets were old and discolored. I do not recommend this unit.

It is truly amazing how one person can have such a divergently different opinion from so many others. On this site alone, we have several visitors who have rated our condo highly and on competing listing sites we have several more very positive reviews for the same time period when this guest stayed here. As to specific complaints listed: The Sliding screen door does not lock - no it does not. The lock was problematic to guests and a screen door affords no security anyway, one can easily bust through it, if that is their intent, so the lock was no value add, and we removed it to avoid problems. The Exterior sliding door does lock as does the front door. Iron was dirty - An iron is made available to our guests for their use. Apparently, very few guests choose to use it and hence it needed cleaning. Not surprising, most people don't bother ironing their shorts and bathing suits when on vacation in Maui. Cleanliness issues mentioned - We encourage guests to contact us during their stay, if they have concerns so that we can remedy the situation while they are there. This guest was there 11 days and never reached out during their visit, giving us no opportunity to address these concerns. Other guests never mentioned these issues. However, to be on the safe side on this issue we have arranged for the upholstery to be professionally cleaned to address any possible concerns.

Great location and pool

This unit was amazing. A little old but quaint. It had everything we needed. Close to pool and smoking area. Only draw back was watching a gentleman shoot the hens with an air pistol. Catch and release elsewhere is better. Security staff was kind and helpful. Mahalo for a great stay. Will recommend it for sure.

Unpleasant

I cannot recommend this place. I had several unpleasant interactions with the owner and other frustrations. We were forced to pay in advance an additional cleaning fee since we were checking in on a holiday. Although our fees should be based on departure. After several discussions about it I ended up paying it because we had no where else go and only recourse was to cancel. Then, once there, we were missing sheets for our pull out bed so we had to use towels—plus the pillows smelled like someone else’s head, so the cleaning fee was reduced to just one regular cleaning fee and they fixed it for our second night. They were apologetic. Also, the owner came in when we were gone to dinner and didnt tell us and failed to lock the door upon leaving, so we were really spooked. It was uncomfortable and overpriced and felt unprofessional.

Shana, we did not come into your unit without your permission. We never do this. Somebody in your group must have re-entered and forgot to let you know. It simply was not us. We would always let you know if we needed to enter the unit for any reason. Your other complaint is unfounded, since as you yourself said, I voluntarily (without being asked), refunded the cleaning fee premium (for your arrival on not just any holiday, but Christmas day), because of the failure to provide sheets for the Sofa Bed. As you yourself said, in that Christmas timeframe, there were no accommodations available on Maui. You were irritated over the cleaning premium of $125 on Christmas day (which I voluntarily reversed), yet the best alternative was over $1k per night. As a result, you entered this unnecessarily harsh and punitive review.

Smelly unit

First of all, we had a hard time finding Bldg 5! Then we didnt have an access code to get into the unit. Thankfully I did have the owners phone number with me so I left a message & she immediately returned my call. She was able to walk us through the door access code process so we could fet into the unit. As soon as we walked into the unit we detected a urine smell. It was pretty bad. I called the owner the next morning to let her know about the smell, she contacted the cleaning lady to check it out & clean as needed. When we got back to the unit that evening we could still smell it. I checked with the front office the next morning & all they knew was that the problem was solved. I told them it wasn't, that I could still detect the offensive odor. They suggested I contact the owner which I did once again. She always answered my calls thankfully. She pursued the problem we were having & when we arrived back to the unit that evening, it as better but still detectable. We stayed away from the unit most of the time except for showers & sleeping. We didn't feel comfortable buying food & cooking in there or to just hang out there for long. If we turned the AC on it did help with circulating the air & the smell wasn't as bad. We feel cheated on being able to enjoy our time there & feel we should be entitled to a partial discount which has not been offered. The smell was obvious as soon as you walked in the door. Our daughters came over & immediately could smell it as well. It may be the futon, we never did sit on anything except 2 chairs that I put a towel on first to block the odor. All this to say, it was an extremely dissatisfied stay. This has been a long awaited trip, our first time to Maui & are leaving very disenchanted with our experience. There were a few other things but the smell was the worse to cope with. I'm surprised the cleaning lady couldn't detect the smell?!!

We have been renting out our condos for 10 years now. During this time we have learned how to manage reservations so as to provide guests with comfortable accommodations and with sufficiently detailed information packages prior to arriving so that they have all they need to find the condo, enter and operate appliances etc. in the unit, without assistance from us upon arrival. This works flawlessly usually and we have approximately 5 renters per month per condo, so over 2,000 reservations thus far and we have satisfied guests regularly and have great ratings. These elderly guests were provided with the information package we provide all other guests. She called me the night of her arrival in a panic because she could not find the condo because she did not print off the instructions and could not access them via a phone. Since she did not print the instructions, and could not access them electronically, she also did not have the code needed to enter the unit. I patiently told her where to park, how to find the condo, provided the code to open the lock box to get the key and then walked her and her husband through the process of opening the lock box and again how to go about closing it. It went downhill from here. The guest had difficulty opening the drapes, they could not figure out how to operate the TV and then she complained about a persistent smell she said was urine. I believed her and went as far as to ask the prior guests if their kids (because they did bring 2 kids) might have had an accident and if so, where so that we may clean it. I believe I offended the prior guest, who advised me that her kids were 7 and 9 (well beyond potty training stage) and they did not detect any such smell during their stay. I had our housekeeping staff come in and wash the floor twice over to help fix the problem. The guest said the problem had improved but the smell was still detectable. I tried setting up a cleaning of the futon but could not get it done during her stay. Although the guest did not ask for one, she was apparently expecting a price adjustment. The thought occurred to me to suggest this, but it was clear to me that this guest simply was not going to be satisfied with anything we did. She is a chronic complainer and frankly not a good traveler. Please read our other reviews for a more realistic review of our properties.

Kihei Kai Lani rental

The unit was very clean. The owners have updated the property, making it very inviting to guests. A variety of beach gear was waiting for us to enjoy during our stay. When we had questions, the owners were prompt in responding, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would gladly stay there again and again!

Great stay; Highly recommended

We are not a resort going/“foo-foo” family. We’d prefer to save some $$ on our room so we’d have more $$ to spend on activities. We needed a clean base to clean-up, cook a few meals and get a good nights sleep so that we could get out and explore all that Maui has to offer. This unit served us extremely well. It’s an older property but this unit has been nicely updated and was immaculately clean. Great location in south Maui with all the basics we needed (including snorkel/beach gear). 50 yd walk to Kam II beach and great central location to all the beaches and restaurants in south Maui. Highly recommended and would absolutely stay at this property/unit again!!

Short but sweet

Great location near everything we needed. Great pool. The unit while not modern was very comfortable.

Great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. I was so excited that Kam 2 was just across the road. Also enjoyed the beach supplies available. Would recommend, no questions asked.

Fantastic experience!

This Condo was like home away from home!!! It was clean and cozy and reminded us of a cabin. The washroom was newly renovated and the bed was so comfortable. Great air conditioning and so many amenities. It had everything we could ask for.... beach chairs, paddle boards, snorkel gear, games, movies, stocked kitchen and also fresh condiments in the fridge. We loved the little pool area but the best part was it is located right across from a beautiful beach. Just minutes away from the famous Maui sunset over the ocean!!!! We will definitely be back and next time with the family. Lisa and Chuck are wonderful hosts and popped by to check on us! Thank you for everything!!!!!

We are a family of three, who fell in love with Maui when visiting from Michigan. The lovely mild weather and friendly people of Maui make every day here seem magical. The snorkeling here is excellent and so is the dining. There are ample of opportunities to enjoy pristine natural beauty, from one of the highest mountains anywhere, to double rainbows, to turtles popping out their heads to nibble on growth on rocks by the shore. You will love Maui too. Use our place to relax and enjoy!

Kihei Kai Nani has an outstanding location, directly across from Kamaole II beach, rated one of the top 10 beaches on Maui by the well-respected Maui Revealed travel guide. The beach has lovely golden sand and is both wide and long with a good snorkeling reef at its end. If you walk 3 minutes, you are on Kamaole III, another very long, beautiful beach! Both beaches have lifeguards during daytime and are nice and shallow for families. If you are a walker or jogger, there is a pathway connecting the beaches from Kamaole II all the way to Wailea (2 miles one way). What a lovely and exhilarating walk! From Kihei Kai Nani, you are able to stay in a comfortable unit at an affordable price, be minutes from a lovely beach and steps from a great pool, while being minutes drive or walk away from ritzy Wailea, the best of both worlds!

Our unit (125) at Kihei Kai Nani, is on the ground floor. Its location gives it many advantages, the primary one being privacy and quiet. The lanai backs up to a garden view. There are no buildings facing you, which affords you maximum privacy and hours of peaceful relaxation on the lanai. Additionally, it is 30 paces from the great freshwater pool and the office and laundry facility.
