Our cottage is an old Périgord stone farmhouse of more than two centuries. It has benefited from a complete renovation in the respect of the local craft tradition.

Marnac is a listed village of 197 inhabitants in the heart of the Périgord Noir. It is located on the Sarlat (20 minutes) / Bergerac (50 minutes) axis, 2 hours 20 minutes by direct train from Bordeaux to Saint-Cyprien.
The villages of Saint Cyprien, 2 km from the cottage, and Siorac en Périgord, 4 km away, offer you all the amenities ranging from small rural shops to supermarkets, including medical centres and pharmacies, fuel, cafes and restaurants,....
Everything you will need is less than 5 minutes from the Cottage de la Mothe. And the icing on the cake, every Sunday morning, St Cyprien welcomes you throughout the year with its local farmers' market.
The cottage is ideally located in the heart of the Périgord Noir to visit the castles such as the Milandes, former home of Josephine Baker, Beynac where the film The Visitors was shot, Castelnaud la Chapelle, the gardens of Marqueyssac etc. the caves, the typical markets, for gastronomy, walks or bike rides, barge or canoeing, hunting, fishing and resting.
