Perfect family home with A/C! Amazing location, a short walk to Poipu beaches!
This private ranch-style home is located in the Lanai Villas section of Poipu Kai Resort. What makes this house special is the enclosed tropical backyard with a gate that leads out to a secluded greenbelt path for a short walk to Grand Hyatt, Shipwreck Beach and the Maha’ulepa Heritage Trail (to the west) and Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park (to the east).
This a great vacation home for families with bedrooms on one side of the home (sleeps up to 7 people) and the kitchen, dining and living areas on the opposite end. The backyard allows a beautiful setting for relaxing and outdoor dining.
This home has numerous highlights to make your vacation comfortable and memorable:
• Air conditioning that is guest controlled in each bedroom as well as the living area
• High speed Wifi and internet service
• Use of the Poipu Kai resort pool and hot tub
• The Poipu Kai Tennis Club is available to guests for a nominal fee.
• Master bedroom has a TV and California king and access to the backyard’s lanai.
• The second bedroom has twin beds that can be converted to a king upon request.
• The third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed.
• Well stocked kitchen
• Dining area has a formal dining table and a breakfast bar with three barstools.
• Living area offers a flat screen TV and access to the backyard.
• The backyard features a gas barbecue, dining for eight people and two chaise lounge chairs.
• The garage accommodates a rental car and offers a second refrigerator for large grocery runs. In addition, it is well stocked with baby gear and beach toys that allow families to travel light. (Please note that a very large SUV would not fit.)
• Ideally located to Poipu Beach Park, which is one of the safest swimming areas in Hawaii with a lifeguard on duty seven days a week. Brennecke’s Beach is known for boogie boarding and body surfing.
• Smoking and parties are prohibited on the property.
Poipu Kai Security provides 24 hour service and security cameras are installed on the exterior entrance locations to maximize safety.
Scott and Laurie Allison bought this home a year ago and look forward to continuing the Aloha spirit that has made this vacation rental a long time VRBO favorite.

Great place to stay. Close to the beach, pool & Puka Dogs. Our little ones loved the game closet. Beach wagon, beach toys, chairs & umbrellas all included. Spacious enough for 4 adults and 2 children. Loved our time there.

Mele Hale was absolutely perfect for our family!! It was well stocked with all of the essentials and well equipped with baby gear/games/books for kids. Very family friendly. The house and yard were beautiful, clean and very well maintained. Location was great - walking distance to many beaches and restaurants. Scott and Laurie were wonderful hosts and excellent at communication. They also provided many recommendations of things to do in the area, which we took full advantage of. Hope to make it back to Kauai one day and if so - we’ll definitely stay here again! Would highly recommend!

Terrific host with great communication. House was perfect for our combined families and location ideal. Truly within walking distance of multiple beaches for sand castle building, boogie boarding, snorkeling and more!

Mele Hale was the perfect beach house for our family. We found everything we needed for meal prep. Three beaches within walking distance and plenty of beach toys to play with once you are there. Thanks Laurie and Scott we had a blast!!!

We rented this property for 18 nights. My husband and I brought my parents, our son and our daughter and her boyfriend. This property was amazing. It had everything we needed. Its in the perfect location to walk to shipwreck and poipu beaches. The green belt path makes it so nice to jump right on and walk at any time! Was our favorite early morning or late night walks. Laurie and Scott, thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. We have made memories that will last a lifetime

When we arrived at the home, the entire place was sparkling and there was a lovely note greeting us. The home was absolutely perfect. For our family. All of the basic supplies we needed to feel at home and for relaxing on the beach. The hosts were really accommodating and went above and beyond to accommodate our travel schedule. Amenities were close by yet far enough to feel away from any foot traffic. Would highly recommend this home to any travelers to this beautiful part of the island!

It was an amazing location and very clean. Great communication and fast. Very gracious folks and let us add a day in! Some updates on the furniture like the lamp in the bedroom (which was broken) and some other small issues wear and tear on the house. Would have loved a small supply of kitchen basics like sugar and oil. Ran out of TP. Overall was a lovely stay!

Our family of 4 stayed here and had a FANTASTIC stay! The home was clean, spacious, and located in a great location. Laurie was super responsive to my questions and the recommendations they provided of beaches, activities, and restaurants were spot on!! I would highly recommend staying here. Scott and Laurie Allison fell in love with Poipu Beach on their honeymoon 34 years ago. Since then, they have returned to Hawaii many times with their two children to enjoy the aloha spirit, beautiful beaches and numerous activities. As owners to this property, they do their best to help guests plan a memorable trip. A owner recommendation guide and house guide are sent well in advance. The home is stocked with all the essentials to make guests relax and enjoy Kauai. Scott and Laurie want their guests to feel the aloha spirit and make lots of memories during their stay here.

This home's location provides privacy and easy access to beaches and resort amenities. Located off of a private road, this house is spacious for families or a multi-generational vacation. The backyard provides comfortable outdoor dining for eight, a gas bbq and access to a green belt that is a short walk to two beautiful beaches, a community pool, a tennis club and many amenities.
