Hi Liz, I took care of the couch in January, apparently someone who was quite large plopped down on it. As you can imagine you can't just go to a store there and replace a couch. All is much more comfy now !

Hi Cynthia Many thanks for your comments, we choose this unit because of its location and close proximity to the beach and shopping. You mentioned a couple of items that I would like to address. Firstly you stated the chairs are not the same as in the pictures on the site, they are actually the very same chairs as in the picture. The next item mentioned was the pool, the pool is cleaned by our contractor once a week but if you had just dropped me a quick email or even a quick call, I only life 3 minutes away and could of got him there straight away (it wasn't something you needed to deal with). Next you mentioned the wifi, just before Christmas we had a high speed fibber optics system fitted, (again if this had been mentioned we could of got an engineer out to look at the system), but I will say I was picking up the signal by the pool area on the Friday after your departure. The other item mentioned was the fridge not working properly, which was not something I was aware of until the present guest reported the day of arrival and I saw in your review (as soon as we where made aware we had an engineer round in the next hour and is now in full working order.) We do realize that we need to do touch ups here and there, however its been a crazy busy season with nearly back to back bookings since early December, we do have break in April and we fully intend to update the bathrooms and touch up the living room furniture. We purchased brand new linens bedding and towels in December and had the whole unit repainted earlier this year. We do try to keep on top of things a lot of your negative comments are things that could of easily been put right and put right quickly for your enjoyment and comfort if you had just let us know there was an issue in the first place. This being said we are glad you enjoyed your stay and your other comments have been noted and will be dealt with as soon as possible.

1) A/C Leakage - not something we could of known of before as units are tested on change over and nothing happened then, was responded to and repaired within the hour on the day of New Years Eve. 2) As advertised the Grill is a shared grill between 6 units and is the guests responsibility to clean after use again once reported was dealt with immediately. 3)The washer dryer was not full of sand on the day of arrival because as you may recall I saw it when you asked my advice on and I told you not to overfill but again to keep our guests happy on being reported was dealt with within the hour. 4)The tv remote worked fine for me but I replaced the batteries anyway. 5)Dvd player was working perfectly as they saw, after my husband cleaned their dirty dvd that was placed in to it. 6)We do not advertise a fitness center on VRBO as the equipment is a new addition it actually says view of pool. 7) All chairs where in perfect working order on arrival. 9)The pool does not have mold. New picture of the pool have been added taken 01/04/14. On arrival they didn't even know it was a 2 storey 2nd floor unit which is the opening sentence on our description of the unit on VRBO which was what seemed to be their concern as they had 2 young children. My husband and I felt that they really wanted to go to a resort but did not want to pay resort prices. Which was evident from our first face to face meeting I acknowledge they had made a mistake in booking something which is not what they wanted and tried within the terms of the booking conditions to help you by reopening your dates and contacting local real estate agents (we actually had some one to take their dates but they did not respond), I even offered to drive them to the hotel. We feel they brought up these complaints only to get a refund by exaggerating minor concerns that where dealt with within the hour of being reported as a small business we run the risk of being taken advantage of and we feel that they are indeed trying to that. We went above and beyond to help them in their mistake and to rectify any problems they had arrived in a very timely manner. Its unfortunate that again they are still trying to hurt us. Please do not be put off by these malicious comments as you will see from the guests that stayed before hand and previously that they are simply not true. If in doubt I can direct you to a number of very satisfied guests who will be more than happy to give you the correct picture.
