Great place, close to beach.

Great place for a short stay, steps to the beach, friendly staff. Check in app was a bit of a challenge. Front porch/deck was great.

Manatee Key Stay

The accommodations were great. The beach access was not what we expected based on pictures. The property folks were very good at responding to email questions quickly. Overall a good experience. We'd stay there again.

I picked this place because it was a short walk to beach access. We were given directions to an access when we arrived. When we went there we were met by two different men who said beach was private and Star Fish Stays did not have access. I contacted Paula who sent us to a different access that was all large rocks. No beach. Then she sent us to another access. On one of our trips to this one we were yelled at and told she did not have access to that one either. The one she does have deeded access to is right across the street from unit and is also inaccessible due to large rocks. She told us storms did this. And that she is waiting on permits to fix her access. I feel that she should not say she has a beach access in her post of the property. She advised me to drive to the beaches on the keys. At which parking is impossible! If I wanted to drive I would have rented a much less expensive place. Door lock didn't work when we arrived and batteries need replacement. Internet also went out while we were there. The bathroom fan comes on when you turn on light and sounds like a freight train. Lots of light pollution in the room at night making sleeping hard. But there is now a gate on the first access we went to in my honor. The whole thing was embarrassing! I usually just roll with things, but this was too much. It seems I was put in the middle of their fight with neighbors. Notice that one of here reviews that are excellent is by her husband. Makes you wonder

Sorry you fell that way. Unfortunately you didn't mention any of this during your stay. We have local management that is on call. Manasota Key has 22 miles of beach I'm sorry you couldn't find a suitable area. We also have a free shuttle for the folks that don't can't walk to the beach. This info was in the welcome message which you didn't read (read receipt). The welcome message has information like beach location, spare batteries for the unit and how to use the locks. We own both properties so I don't understand how you would have argued with neighbors. We provide a beautiful property in a stunning area, but we realize we can only make 99% of the people happy!

What a GREAT place! We just bought a home on the gulf and needed a place to stay while I did the inspection. Paula and Scott do a FABULOUS job with decorating and cleanliness! Peaceful bliss

This was the perfect little getaway for our family. Everyone had a great time even the dogs. Cutest place ever, they thought of everything that you could possibly need. My only critique is that the bed was very hard, took a day to get used to! Some people like firm mattresses! Thank you for thinking of all the little touches!

Vacation Made Easy

Studio apartment setup with wood deck on side of unit. [Not all units have the wood deck]. Stephanie the property manager onsite when we arrived. Stephanie was great and answered all our questions and more on the unit and private beach access. Place was perfect and comfortable with everything we needed if we ate in and for the beach. All we had to do was show up and enjoy our time off. Next trip to the Florida West Coast we will only stay at this property!

The Best Time Ever!

We decided to go to florida as a very last minute trip and when we were looking this place was perfect for us. We had wonderful weather, water water, everything you could as for. This home had everything it needed, I could not think of something that was missing or wrong. My favorite thing about this trip was; the extremely quick communication with the owner Paula. The walk to the beach was no more than 2 min, the Manasota little Town was also super fun to enjoy with a few restaurants, dolphin watching, and over the bridge we spent hours fishing. I Highly recommend this home and area, we will definitely be back.

Perfection!

The unit I stayed in, was perfect in every way for me. I needed a time out, for a few days, in a beautiful setting, and my expectations, were met. The location, is perfect, I felt very comfortable, ordering food, or driving to pick something up. Everything, from the beach, shops, food, etc, is nearby. Noise was non-existent, neighbors seemed friendly. The unit was very up to date, and clean. I made use of the laundry unit provided, and couldn't find anything, that wasn't as described. I found everything about the place, relaxing and just what I needed. I would gladly go back! Thank you!

Exceeded expectations!

Starfish 2C is my idea of the perfect place at the beach! It has everything needed including beach chairs, very nice beach towels, linens, a well stocked kitchen, very comfortable bed, a sofa bed, its own outdoor deck, an additional shared outdoor space with a fire pit and grill, and private beach access. The beach is located across the street. The condo is immaculately clean. The use of space is excellent. My sis-in-law and I traveled together and we were a little concerned about staying in a studio but this condo was set up so well, it worked perfectly for us. There is a free washer and dryer on site which is located super close to 2C. We appreciated the convenience of being able to do laundry while on vacation. Paula was quick to answer any questions and we had the pleasure of meeting her as she was onsite performing some upgrades. The pictures of the condo are great but it is even better in person!

A wonderful weekend getaway!

This adorable place made for the perfect weekend getaway! So many thoughtful touches (great-smelling bathroom toiletries, Starfish Stay merch gifts, fun beach decor) made it feel like home away from home. The bed was very comfy, the full kitchen was updated and fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, and the ice maker was perfect for those beach cocktails! Speaking of the beach, what a beautiful, private area we were able to access. It felt like being on a deserted tropical island! The room is close to the road, but we never were bothered by street noise, and the air conditioning worked great, even during the hottest part of the day. The owners were extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had, and were so kind. Very grateful we were able to bring our elderly dog with us, who loved sitting on our private deck smelling all the beach smells. If there is any room for improvement, I would only add that it would be helpful to have a more dog-friendly area for potty breaks (I needed to carry her over the crushed shells to find grass on a neighboring property) and that the gate across the street for beach access was often a little tricky to open on the first try. Neither of those I would fault the owners for, and it looked as if they were planting grass as we were leaving. The island itself is still recovering from last year’s hurricane in places, but in no way did it disrupt the beauty of the area. Very happy to have found this charming little place- thank you for a wonderful birthday weekend!

Cozy stay close to the ocean

My family and I are so pleased with our stay! The place was incredibly neat, everything was really thought out. Its evident that the owners put a lot of thought into the property - we had beach toys in the closet, spoons, plenty of soap, etc. The owners were very thoughtful and texted me ahead of time to make sure we had access when we got there, very hospitable. The beach really is very close and the water is just perfect. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and affordable weekend by the shore.
