Great Furnished 2 Bedroom Apt #4 Half-Block from Beach

Just a few steps to the beach along the Sea of Cortez, this two-bedroom apartment has ample living space perfect for the whole family, hi-speed wifi, smart tv connected to Dishnet satellite system, with lots of channels, including several HBO and ESPN. A quiet neighborhood of beautiful beach houses makes the walk along the beach safe and secure, a short distance to beach palapas and the Malecon (the walkway along the sea wall).
Enjoy preparing and eating your own meals in the fully functional kitchen, using the gas stove and oven, refrigerator. Eat on the built-in counter (which also doubles as a laptop workspace).
Master bedroom has king-size bed, with end tables on each side, air conditioning and/or heating, chest of drawers, large storage closet; 2nd Bedroom has two beds, one matrimonial size, and the other is an individual size bed. The modern bathroom has great water pressure and instant hot water to the shower. Living room also has a sofa bed (if you need an additional bed).
The backyard is a common area which has a clean and comfortably heated swimming pool, surrounded by lounge chairs and tables. There is also an outdoor kitchen, gas barbecue and a large outdoor dining area, all available for use by guests. Above the outdoor kitchen is the gym area. There is a doorway from the pool area to a private outdoor garden and secure parking lot.
Located in a quiet neighborhood of beautiful beach houses makes the walk along the beach safe and secure, a short distance to beach palapas and the Malecon (the sea wall walkway). We also have several bikes and a two person kayak available for use by guests.
Riding bikes to the Loreto Plaza is a lot of fun, just a straight shot down Madero Street; and then to the old Loreto Mission, and to the Malecon, and then back home again. So many possibilities for enjoyment and having fun!

We enjoyed staying with Steven and Adriana who were very nice hosts and have created a nice vibe at their hotel. Steven makes coffee drinks each morning by the pool where guests can mingle and share recommendations. For a modest fee they can take you out on their boat to a nice beach and view a seal colony, dolphins and occasionally whales along the way, which we did. Steven graciously offered to provide transportation to and from the airport. There are nice restaurants in town and nearby grocery stores. The town center is a bit of a walk, but that was our exercise for the day. They host a potluck dinner each Sunday, and sing along by a campfire. Rooms were clean, with modern appliances. We felt quite safe walking at night and the townspeople were friendly. Great town for seafood, too.

Steven and Adriana are the most excellent hosts! Steven picked us up from the airport and took us by the grocery store on our way to the hotel. He also arranged for a rental car for us and the car rental company delivered the car and picked it up at the hotel! So convenient. Steven made us coffee and pastries every morning as well as providing a great conversation. Steven and Adriana made sure we were comfortable every step of the way and we also were free to use the outdoor communal kitchen by the pool. The rooms were comfortable and the beach was super close by. There were many bikes to choose from to use for free at the hotel, which was great! One of the permanent residents at the hotel, David, was great too, and he had many excellent suggestions on where to eat and what to do in town. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Loreto! Thank you!

Great Stay

With regard to the property, outstanding, The grounds and pool are spotless. Our apartment was spotless and well appointed. The location of the property is perfect to enjoy your morning stroll on the beach which ends right at the start of the Malacon, with access to the eating/shopping/drinking district. What stood out for us, and made the trip complete, were the hosts. Adrianna & Steven were the best. We were met at the airport (don't expect to get out of there in a hurry) by Steven and given a tour of the town with a stop at the grocery store for provisions. On arrival we were given a full tour of the property. Anything we requested was quickly provided. Each morning Steven makes a great cappuccino with pastries. There is a laundry facility for use of the guests. Adrianna was so kind to us and even went so far as to fold our laundry for us! We had a bit of a medical concern and Adrianna made a phone call, a nurse was there in 15 minutes. We decided we wanted a rental car. Steven made a call and a car was delivered in an hour. Safe to say these folks run one of the most accommodating places we have stayed yet. To be up front, the neighborhood is under some development and can be a bit noisy, but you are generally out enjoying this great place during that time.

In 2018, Adriana Macias and Steven Richkind moved to Loreto, Baja California Sur., They purchased a couple of lots near the beach and constructed a brand new apartment building which they named “Posada Espíritu Del Mar.” Translation: Spirit of the Sea Inn. The sea calls to their spirit.

Maybe it was the sunny climate of Loreto, or the experience of swimming in the warm, clear waters of the Sea of Cortez, then getting out of the Sea to lie on the white sandy beach, basking in the sun, or lying in the shade of a palapa, feeling the sea breeze, and breathing deeply the fresh sea air, that inspired Adriana and Steve to finally settle in Loreto and build their home by the Sea. Steve likes singing in Spanish, a famous Mexican song says, “El sol, la luna y las estrellas, en el mar la vida es mas sabrosa!” ( “The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars – by the Sea, life is sweeter.”)

Steve and Adriana both practice meditation when they wake up each morning. “What a gift! To be alive and to appreciate being alive with every breath!” Whether they are traveling or hosting guests at Posada Espiritu Del Mar, Steve and Adriana believe that Peace is something they share with the people they meet. Listening with compassion from the heart is so much easier when you are feeling peace; so too is sharing from the heart.

Steve enjoys playing his classical guitar, improvising his own music, and jamming with other musicians. So, if you play music, or enjoy listening to music, don't be shy. Feel free to bring your instrument, or make a request for him to play a song or two. Steve also enjoys serving complimentary espresso each morning from the outdoor kitchen, and having conversations about life. He says that he gave up being a lawyer and now he is a barista and philosopher. Steve also enjoys taking guests out on their boat, the Adriana I.

Steve and Adriana look forward to new adventures and to making new relationships with the guests who come stay at Posada Espiritu Del Mar.
