Enjoy relaxing to the sounds of the babbling creek while sipping wine in the hot tub or sitting around the fire pit! Just 10 minutes from the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia. Dog friendly & convenient to local wineries! Huge yard perfect for letting the kids explore.

Whether you're visiting the North Georgia mountains for a wedding, winery tours, one of our many festivals like Oktoberfest, admiring the fall leaves, a college graduation, a family vacation, or in hopes of striking it rich while panning for gold, we're certain that our home will be a place of rest and relaxation during your stay.

Visit the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia nestled in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia. This area was once home to the mighty Cherokee. When settled by Europeans in the 1800's it became the site of the first U.S. gold rush. Then later became the quaint little German town it is today.

Come during late September through the end of October to not only enjoy the changing leaves, but also experience the Oktoberfest celebrations!

Our home is also an excellent place of respite for the adventurer! There are countless hiking trails, excellent roads for mountain biking, exceptional trout fishing waters, and more waterfalls than you can see on one trip.

Fun for the whole family too, with a waterpark, zip line adventures, horseback riding, river tubing, mini-golf, gold & gem mining, award-winning vineyards, a local brewery, unique shops, amish bakeries, antiquing, great local & German cuisine, and much more!

Our mountain cabin was built in 1997. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living area, and a kitchen and dining area. Nearly 1000 sq. ft. of wrap around screened in porches to take in the fresh mountain air and sounds of running water. When you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer, slip into the hot tub with a glass of wine or make s'mores by the camp fire out back.

There is a smart doorbell installed by the front door with audio and video recording capabilities for security purposes.

Wonderful cabin we really enjoyed the big screen porch and that it was kid friendly cabin it had things availablefor kids.It was also a Pet friendly cabin so it made it where I couldhave my fur baby there with us.We had a wonderful family vacation.

Creekside cottage was exactly as listed. It was comfortable and peaceful. The location is perfect. It’s midway between Cleveland and Helen. The cabin is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. We hope to return next time we visit Helen.

60 year old girlfriends hiking trip

Very nice place, easy to get to and centrally located to tons of great hikes, towns and waterfalls. Nicely furnished and hosts are great communicators. We loved the screened in porch and plenty of rockers for morning coffee.

Creekside Fun

Creekside Cottage is centrally located to so many activities and was perfect for our family with 4 adults, 3 kids ages 12, 4 and 2, and our 2 dogs. The small creek was just right for the younger kids, the large yard was great for catching lightning bugs, the wraparound screened porch was a relaxing spot for the grandparents. The owner/manager was very attentive, helpful and cordial when contacted with problems or questions. We spent a lot of time at the cabin that was supplied with so many games, toys, sports activity equipment, hot tub and fire pit. This is definitely a great place for a large family and perfect for our dogs.

Fun Get Away for Friends & Family Weekend at Truett Mcconnell University

The property was exactly as described. We enjoyed using the grill both nights, loved the creek area, and the hot tub. We enjoyed nearby Dukes Creek Falls, Anna Ruby Falls, Helen, GA, and the activities at Truett Mcconnell University in Cleveland. We will stay here again when in this area.

Great Place

This property was even better than the description. Clean, roomy, nice beds, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was very convenient and the surroundings with the sound of the water from the creek was very peaceful. The owners made check in and check out easy. So thankful they are willing to share this cabin with us visitors. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Great and relaxing

We enjoyed our stay there at this cabin. It was very relaxing and in a very quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was a plus and relaxing. Our little dog enjoyed the privacy of the screen in porch. Also, behind the house was a stream with a swing that we loved to listen to with the water flowing. Great place to stay and we will be back.

Teiple Birthdays trip to GA Mountains

This house was great. We were all very comfortable. The home was very well stocked with anything we needed and more. Very family oriented in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. We will definitely recommend and be back to stay again.

Quiet natural retreat

This really was our ideal stay. There were no issues whatsoever. The wraparound porch, hot tub, seating area at creek let us enjoy the evening sounds after long days at the nearby parks, waterfalls, tubing, etc. The house is incredibly clean and well stocked, we wanted for nothing! We will definitely return.

Perfect

We stayed here during the annual trout tournament, it was perfect! Not too far from the little town of Helen but far enough away to escape all the hustle and bustle. It was like walking into your own home with how comfortable and cozy you felt! I will definitely be booking another stay in this cabin sometime soon! Owners were awesome, all around great experience!!

Fall Trip

Cabin was exactly as described, very comfortable and in a great location to hike the state parks and national forests as well as visit Helen for food, drink and groceries. The yard was nice for the pups and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening. It was just 3 adults on this trip but would definitely stay here with my grandkids as the host has supplied plenty of games and activities that would keep them occupied. Communication with host was excellent, keyless entry super easy, information book very helpful!

Beautiful and peaceful Cabin

Beautiful cabin, loved the jacuzzi, perfect for the evenings. We loved the swing by the creek very relaxing. Very family oriented, lots of toys books and video movies for the kids.. were minutes away from Helen, Cleveland, the Billings scenic drive and several parks and trails. Mitch was a Fabulous host . Amazing!!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin/house. The location was perfect and easy to find. There's a creek that runs behind the cabin with lots of "fairy dust" my granddaughters found 😉. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and around the fire pit. It was truly a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this location, it's peaceful and just beautiful ❤️

Awesome Holiday Vacation

From Arrival and check in to our departure the process and communication was impecable. Mitch the Vrbo /owner host made sure to make us feel at home with intial timely communications on the property and surrounding information on the Helen area like restaurants places of interest etcr..the property itself is well mantained and has all the needed ammenities for guests to experience a superb vacation time. Wiith a Fireplace/ whirpool tub and outside Fire Pit..nice surrounding chairs. Including a nice Gas Fire Bbq Grill inside you

Excellent Stay in Helen Area

We had booked this in order to visit the Helen area for the first time. Host was beyond accommodating and the communication was excellent. The property is well cared for and all the amenities were as advertised including the nice hot tub. Being able to sit down by the creek and relax was also a highlight. We had a baby and wish we had read the description better as we brought a lot of equipment like a portable crib and high chair that were not necessary! Well suited for kids. The location is wonderful as you are a short drive to Helen and grocery shopping is not too far away. We also enjoyed the proximity to hikes nearby and caught some great fall weather. Just be advised that you will have to pay some State Park Fees so if you do go visit plan your day accordingly.

I'm a happily married father, local real estate broker, nature and wildlife photographer, volunteer soccer coach, world traveler, outdoor enthusiast, adventure junkie, working for an international Christian missions organization.

I'm a native North Georgian. Born, raised, and currently living in Gainesville, just 20 minutes south of Dahlonega. My wife, Monya, and I met at Young Harris College in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and then hung around Athens for a few years to earn our degrees from the University of Georgia. It was love at first sight. It just took her a few years to realize it. We got married in the fall of 2007 at Big Canoe, yep you guessed it... in the mountains. She went on to get her master's from Brenau University and is an elementary school teacher. She thinks she's smarter than me, she's probably right. She's certainly better looking.

Our team consists of our daughter, Adri (9), and our son, Adler (6). I always tell everyone, "we've done our part and created our replacements". She's compliant and contemplative, like her mother, and he's our little strong-willed explorer, just like his old man. We have the most gentle and loving Great Dane Lab mix named Sophie, a temperamental self absorbed cat named Coal, and a spastic rescue squirrel named Lucky.

My hair is quickly turning gray. It started at 17. I like to think of it as my pre-mature crown of glory. It's probably just hereditary. And yes, I was born with a beard.
