Overall, this was a great find for the weekend of the 4th, especially considering we didn't book that far out. There's a lot to love about the place: very natural and beautiful neighborhood close to so much, aesthetically pleasing cabin that was quite clean. A few things that made it less than 5 stars: The layout of the place is so awkward! Half of the square footage is contained within the master suite, including the only shower and truly usable bathroom. If you're sharing this cabin with multiple families, everyone who's not in the master has to share a tiny bathroom that's more like a 1/4 bath (there's not even a hand towel or hook for it!). Also, beyond my general distaste for communicating with management companies vs. an individual/family directly, I found the many emails and prompts to sign onto an external website, etc. to be unnecessarily confusing and time consuming. One thing that makes VRBO and other similar sites great is that you can usually find all you need right on the booking page. The impersonal nature of a management company also means that not even the check out instructions are specific to the property; rather, they give general advice that can be applied to a number of places. This caused both uncertainty and added time preparing to leave. And speaking of, I'm growing so tired with the added tasks of checking out, especially when threats to charge more are posted in the house.
