Terrific Location

Perfect country house. We stayed for a week around a wedding event across the road - loved the location as well.

Beautiful Maine Vacation

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Parker house! Just as describes with a picturesque and quiet setting. I would definitely recommend staying here, we especially enjoyed spending evenings in front of the fireplace.

Great stay and really cute house!

It was wonderful, we rented it because we got married across the street on the weekend. We rented Tuesday-Sunday so we could come up early, have some time, an extra space for loved ones

The Parker Head House was the perfect location for our friends and family to stay - not only for the wedding at the 1774 Inn our friends were standing up in - but for its location to Bath and Popham Beach. The house is roomy - the kitchen was clean and well equipped, the upstairs bedroom with 4 twin beds was useful and big. The host’s communications and the House “Rules” book was clearly written. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend to others.

Relaxing and beautiful home close to best beach in Maine!

This is a comfortable, beautifully appointed house full of well-chosen vintage furniture and art. It was a pleasure to read in the living room with the breeze gently blowing through the windows. We enjoyed walking on the trails close by, getting morning coffee up the street at Bisson's market, and buying fresh produce for dinner at the farm stand nearby. Best of all, it's about 15-20 minutes from the fabulous Popham Beach. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location, beautiful property!

We had the best time at Parker Head House. The home itself is cozy yet plenty of space to spread out. The fireplace was a bonus for chilly May nights in Maine. There is a convenience store right up the road where we walked many times, and nearby trails we walked our dogs on. A short drive to Popham Beach made our beach day a breeze. We also really appreciated the recommendations from the host. We can’t wait to plan our next trip to Phippsburg!

Perfect for Family Attending Wedding at 1774 Inn

Rented this house for my son’s wedding across the road at the 1774 Inn. It was just what we needed for easy access for our extended family and for us to stay the night after the wedding....we didn't want the magic to end! Patricia & Litty were super communicative and attended to our requests quickly.

Great getaway

We’ve been renting properties for years and this is the best yet! We spend our days at the beach & dinners out. This location is great for both. Beautiful inside and out. So nice to have a washer & dryer. (And the mudroom to keep sandy gear from the rest of the house!) lol I’m a mom.

Great find in Phippsburg

Excellent and recent renovation. Spacious bedrooms, lots of common space downstairs, though we gravitated to sun porch with windows open. New appliances in kitchen, lots of room to cook. The pond about 200 metres down the road is an excellent swimming spot. Only suggestion – more chairs for sitting outdoors, maybe bigger deck, though the mosquitos were a bit of a deterrent during our visit. Loved the place.

Great place highly recommend!

The description and pictures are very accurate of the property. It has everything needed for great getaway, fully stacked kitchen, plenty of towels and comfy beds. Location was perfect (for us) although if you have small kids proximity to the road and lack of fence could be a concern. We liked being near the state park with great views and plenty of open spaces to walk and having close access to rest of Maine (highway 15 minutes away). There is also a nice pound to swim in just the down the road with fresh water and five minute walk (again for those without kids as the area is adjacent to a road and it gets deep really fast). There is an inn across the street from the property and they were having a wedding with loudish music there while we were staying. However it ended at 10:00 (not sure if his is typical) while we didn't mind it (actually liked it lol) others could feel differently. Loved the porch area that was fully enclosed, so if the bugs are to much it offers a nice retreat, you can open all the windows and have no itch next day! Another nice touch: we have dogs with us and we were provided with cages to keep them locked up in case we left them alone. All and all would stay there again!!

Phippsburg House

The home is beautiful and well-maintained. And, the owners were very responsive and accomodating! We're a family of five with dogs. It was a perfect fit for us. We had a great time exploring the hiking trails, beaches, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and Boothbay Harbor. We highly recommend this property!

Getting away for a bit

This is an excellent property about 45 minutes from Portland. We spent three weeks there and loved every second. The house is wonderfully cared for and close to a lot of great things to do like hiking, the beach, and heading into Portland or Freeport. I hope to stay there again next time. If you’re a piano player, the grand piano is a real treat. The kitchen was well stocked with nice pots/pans and the Viking stove made cooking even better. The caretaker was super responsive as was the owner for any questions we had. Highly recommend this place. There’s even a nice store less than a quarter-mile away that has a pretty decent selection of food, wine, beer, etc.

Peaceful and Great area

Very clean and inviting. Close to the beach and the mill pond where we watched the seals play every evening at the rapids. Would certainly rent again when in the area
