Come stay at “The Gathering Place” in Mansfield, Ohio and enjoy your friends and family at this beautiful 2 acre property in the country side, with a pool, pool house, 7 bedrooms, three fireplaces, a great room with a wet bar and over 5500 square feet of indoor living space. This home was built in 2000, and went through an extensive remodel to add a second master suite and great room.

NOTE: During summer months (May-Aug) there is a 3 night minimum unless you find shorter stays between other bookings.

Are you looking for a vacation in Ohio… then this is the property. 1 hour to Columbus or Akron and 1 and 15 minutes to Cleveland it is the perfect place to get away and into the country with all of the convenience of restaurants and shopping only 8-10 minutes away.
There is a heated pool with a brand-new hot tub next to the pool house with a bar and a fireplace! Since pool is heated it is open May 15 to October 15. Adjacent to the pool is a basketball court with professional grade hoop and the court extends past the three-point line. You also have a back porch, a deck and an amazing patio to enjoy. This home sits 300 feet off the road, and the front yard slopes gently down to a pond across the street which reflects the sky. Behind the property is a large farm and you can see two large silos at the crest of the hill.
And this is just the outside! The interior has been completely refreshed with bright colors, new linens and beds and is decorated with a modern country interior.

This beautiful country property is located in an area of 2 – 20 acre lots on rolling hills and the sunsets are amazing. The star gazing is very clear as the skys are darker here and the home is located in open land as it was once part of the farm just over the hill. Just down the hill 1.4 miles is Clear Fork Reservoir with hiking and boat rental. The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is 1.6 miles away and Apple Hill Orchards is less then a mile away and open 7 days a week- hint: don’t miss their fresh donuts every morning and cider. They also have snacks, fresh meats and cheeses and is a local favorite. 15 minutes away you can also visit the Mansfield “Ohio State Reformatory” for a tour which is the site of where the Shaw Shank Redemption was filmed.

• Clear Fork Reservoir 1.4 Miles- fishing, boating (no HP limit), 997 acres, you can rent boats at the marina, there are hiking trails and three public picnic areas
• Ohio Bird Sanctuary- 1.6 miles- a great facility to visit, with nice trails and you are always able to see some great birds in Ohio getting taken care off hawks, cardinals, owls and an occasional eagle. Cost is reasonable at $2-$3 depending on age
• Apple Hill Orchard- 1 mile away- fresh donuts, lunch meats, cheese, beef, chicken and fresh apples and cider a local favorite

• Mid-Ohio Sports Car Racing Track- 10 minutes away nice track with different racing events and driving school
• Mansfield Ohio State Reformatory- 15 minutes away the night tour is amazing
• Snow Trails Ski Resort- 18 minutes away- great ski resort
• Mohican State Park- 23 miles away- canoeing, fishing, hiking
• Kingwood Center Gardens- ten minutes away- 47 acres of gardens with daily tours
• Twin lakes Golf Club- 5 minutes away- 18 holes and open to public
