Come enjoy our relaxing chalet with the best view in Gatlinburg!

Two large decks to enjoy the beautiful landscape and breathtaking vistas, and all the amenities you could ask for on a mountain getaway. Set high atop Ski Mountain in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, this chalet has it all!

Convenient to the downtown Gatlinburg Strip (2 miles), where the entrance to the Smoky Mountain Park begins or all the shops and entertainment that Gatlinburg has become famous for over the years. Convenient to the Ski Lodge at Ober Gatlinburg for winter or summer play, this cabin provides for a relaxing weekend getaway or a week long stay during any season of the year. Watch the Ober Gatlinburg Tram pass overhead and wave from the beautiful decks or just pass the time away while enjoying spectacular views of Mt. LeConte.

The Main level of this cabin has a living room area with a leather sleeper sofa and 48-inch wide screen cable TV with DVD player. There is a fully equipped kitchen, park-style charcoal grill (Charcoal, lighter, and lighter fluid not provided) just outside and dining for 6 at the table or take your meal on to the deck and enjoy the view seated on the comfortable patio furniture, which includes two tables for your convenience. Adjacent the living room is the first master suite, which has a luxurious king size log bed and adjoining full bath with tub/shower and pedestal sink. The second master suite also offers a plush king size log bed and the second full bath is adjoining the bedroom and also opens to kitchen/living room. Upstairs area offers an 8-foot pool table, game table with checkers, chess, a relaxing indoor Jetted tub, half bath, CD player and LED TV with DVD player beside a wet bar that also has a small sink. The lower level (accessible from exterior of house) has a full size washer and dryer along with a full regulation size ping pong table complete with a ball dispensing machine and 4 paddles. Outside, there is a beautiful full-length deck that holds the 7-person hot tub and a willow swing, perfect from which to enjoy the spectacular view from the lower level.

** If snow or ice conditions are present, you should have 4-wheel drive or snow chains. Our driveway is a bit steep, and we provide ice melt and snow shovel for your convenience, if needed.

Beautiful cabin with spectacular view. Had many bear visitors (5 in one day!) Had one trying to open 3 of the car doors but was unsuccessful. Definitely need to keep car doors locked! My 4 year old grandson was very excited about the bears as were the adults. First cabin we have stayed at that had bear visits.we didnt have any problems with the driveway but was not our first time driving up or staying on Sky Mountain Road. Was a wonderful stay.

The view of the gondola at night!!

The cabin had everything we needed and it really reduced our stress. Helpful signs with instructions on how things work a little differently up here in the mountains. Very useful because it even snowed a little! :)The cabin was clean and has a large hot water heater. Excellent for a hot shower after walking around town in the cold. Our family had a wonderful time and plan on coming back soon.

The Great Escape

We had an amazing time stayin at "Awesome View" in Gatlinburg. The Cabin is high up in the mountains and the roads are intimidating but once you get to the top it's so worth it. The cabin was clean and exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed for a wonderful week in the mountains. We even saw a mama bear and her 3 cubs right outside the cabin. Absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend staying here.

Wonderful house!

This is a very cozy house in the mountains that is exceptionally clean! All amenities as described, beautiful deck and view. Internet worked flawlessly. Close enough to downtown to access easily, but away from the traffic and crowds. Steep roads up to the house and steep driveway if you're not used to that, but that is the case with all of the houses up in this area! We needed to communicate with the owner upon arrival and she was easily accessible and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again if we come back to the area.

Amazing views

We had a wonderful trip to Gatlinburg, and the cabin was wonderful. We found the property to be just like described in the post. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. I also appreciated the basic stock of necessities that are mentioned in the post. They met the needs for my family of 4 for the 6 days we were there. The views from the cabin deck really are amazing. And we saw bears near the cabin every day during our stay, which we really enjoyed. Also, I really liked where the cabin was situated in relation to the town and national park. Most activities you would want to do are close and within a 15 to 30 minute drive. Several reviews mentioned the drive up the mountain to the cabin. Based on our experience, it is not a difficult drive. However, if someone isn't comfortable driving in the mountains, I would recommend arriving during the daytime for the first drive up to the cabin. After seeing the area and roads, it is much easier to navigate, including in the dark. The cabin has a pool table and ping pong table, which my kids really enjoyed. And, the neighborhood has several pools you can use, which was a nice option. We found the staff at the pools to be so friendly and accomodating.We had a few questions during our stay, and the host was very responsive and helpful. I appreciated that the owner was so involved and available, if needed.We had a great time and would stay here again.

Awesome view

View was great. Driveway was treacherous. Would like to have seen that in the description. Sofa and love seat should be replaced (worn out). Didn't notice in the description that the fireplace is electric. Would have skipped if we'd seen that. Overall we had a nice visit. Just suggesting upgrades. Need a cutting board. Dishwasher didn't clean well.

Everything it says and more

This cabin is fantastic! The views are amazing, the cabin is nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable, and it is very well stocked. If you have small children there is a high chair, stool, and baby gate which made are packing less and that is a big bonus when traveling with children! This is in a great location just about 5 mins from town! We saw bears on the property on two different days! The owner has been wonderful to answer all my question! The only two dislikes we had was the driveway is kind of steep and the turn in is a little harder to make in a bigger vechile, but by the first day we figured it all out and it has become a lot easier. The other issue was the laundry room and hot tub is downstairs and you have to go outside and walk down the stairs to get to them. These two things would defiantly not stop us from renting this cabin in the future. We would highly recommend this cabin!m

View was great but could have been more pet friendly. Needs some maintenance such as grass/lawn was not maintained well. Bathtub up stairs was missing middle button and kitchen cabinets were missing a handle. Outdoor furniture could use an update

Perfect family getaway destination

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! We took our 3 year old and we all had such a fun time. The cabin is off the main road and hustle and bustle, so we were able to completely relax, but it's also close enough to town that we were able to quickly access all the activities and food. The cabin is well maintained, the view is breathtaking, and the hosts were super nice and responsive before and during our trip.

Great Stay

Great views as advertised. Nice cabin. Could use an upgrade or two like a frig with an icemaker for example. Not worth complaining about. Will be staying here again.

Everything was as described views was amazing easy to Everything driveway was definitely steep and the turn was tight but if you can drive you're truck then you can make the tight turn would definitely come back we really enjoyed our time in town and definitely came up before it got dark and the place was definitely comfortable to spend your evening/night therethank you for the stay amazing views

Beautiful property and the view is unbeatable! Driveway is very very steep so be careful! Would not recommend road-tripping to the area without a solid transmission and brakes due to the roads. Also it was 50.00 for the local taxi service to Anakeesta which is a 5-10 minute drive. I was unable to get a Lyft driver or Uber. That definitely wouldn’t stop me from going back to this property though, once you see the beautiful interior and decor of the home(very cozy bed), and the view, you’ll completely forget about the price of the taxi. This was an amazing trip and Christie was fantastic and very sweet. Highly recommend!

We fell in love with Gatlinburg and when we saw the view from this property we felt like it was the prettiest view in the whole town. We are SO excited to make so many memories in this chalet with our kids, and for other families to be able to enjoy it and love it as much as we do!
